Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa

First time to Ao Nang and wasn’t sure where to stay. We wanted good location near sea, 5 star, close to restaurants and good service. I think we nearly hit all of our needs. We were given a family room which allowed the kids area to be used for clothing which was very handy. A/C worked great in the rooms and I slept wonderfully throughout the stay on the massive beds. We spent most of our time at the pool at the beach front and there was never any mad rush for beds. Even at 10am there were many beds available. I think that’s because most people only visit this area for a few days and spend their days out and about. Very small gym. The location was great for us with a 5-10 min stroll to the start of the resort. Some minor drawbacks. I felt the hotel was not as clean as it should / could be. I don’t understand why a culvert / pup wasn’t used to close off the dirty waterway which ran through the resort. The breakfast was basic. Despite the drawbacks I would return if again in the area.

Located next to the beach in a lovely part of town this hotel has some excellent features. Contemporary and stylish, two swimming pools, an excellent restaurant and beautiful, functional bedrooms. I really enjoyed my time in a luxurious environment with friendly, knowledgeable staff who added an extra quality to my experience. Before leaving I booked my visit.

We stayed here for two nights with my daughters and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel lives up to the usual Centara standards — well-maintained, family-friendly, and in a great location with easy access to the beach and nearby restaurants. The highlight for us was the large pool area, especially the slides, which my kids absolutely loved. The room was comfortable and nicely done, although the extra bed we requested was surprisingly small — probably the smallest we’ve seen. The main downside was the food and service around it. The hotel encourages ordering through their app, which we used, but our order was not picked up by the restaurant team. Even after following up with a call, it took nearly 1.5 hours for the food to arrive. In addition, both the in-room dining and breakfast quality were below expectations and definitely something that needs improvement. Because of this, I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. With better food quality and service, this would be an excellent stay.

Prime location right in front of the beach. Family, friendly hotel with lots to do for children. Two different pools, one mainly for children one mainly for adults on opposite sides. Breakfast was very, very good. Lots to choose from! The rooms were nice and clean, and if you needed anything, it was sent right away. Great hotel would definitely come back!
