Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa

We stayed here for two nights with my daughters and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel lives up to the usual Centara standards — well-maintained, family-friendly, and in a great location with easy access to the beach and nearby restaurants. The highlight for us was the large pool area, especially the slides, which my kids absolutely loved. The room was comfortable and nicely done, although the extra bed we requested was surprisingly small — probably the smallest we’ve seen. The main downside was the food and service around it. The hotel encourages ordering through their app, which we used, but our order was not picked up by the restaurant team. Even after following up with a call, it took nearly 1.5 hours for the food to arrive. In addition, both the in-room dining and breakfast quality were below expectations and definitely something that needs improvement. Because of this, I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. With better food quality and service, this would be an excellent stay.

Prime location right in front of the beach. Family, friendly hotel with lots to do for children. Two different pools, one mainly for children one mainly for adults on opposite sides. Breakfast was very, very good. Lots to choose from! The rooms were nice and clean, and if you needed anything, it was sent right away. Great hotel would definitely come back!

The service was good and response time to requests was pretty quick. Breakfast experience at the resturant needs to be revamped. Nobody was paying attention to guests requirements or monitoring. Being vegetarians, we had particular difficulty in navigating and understanding the menu with nobody around to help. The resort packed a breakfast box for us to take when we left to the airport early. That was very thoughtful of them. Rooms were adequate. However, there were no table or chair anywhere.

Very good location, clean rooms, bad service, unpolite staff

Hotel is very well maintained, staff very helpful, Buffet breakfast very good( could do with uncut bread loaves) and is located in a Quiet corner of a very busyTown. The noise from the town is not noticeable from any where in the Hotel, although from around 11am till about 6:00pm if you are anywhere near the Beach side of the Hotel, there is a constant drone from the engines of the Water taxis across the Bay.( You do get used to this and forget its there).There is a lack of Sun beds around both pools, two large water slides at the rear pool don't help this situation. For a beach front Hotel I dont' think the Slides should be installed.We never used the rear pool, which is a shame, as its massive but lacks Sunbeds and shelter due to the slides. Wasn't impressed by the quality and price of the food at the Pool bar. A massive negative is the "Stench Trench" river that runs directly at the back of the "Ocean View" block and infront of the other 3 blocks.Ask for a Pool view in these 3 blocks, avoid the "private pool" access rooms as well in these blocks!😷 As for the "River", you can't totally avoid it and its smell, you have to cross the bridge to access the beach and Beach view pool.?????
