Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa

Lovely hotel. Very clean, staff super friendly, breakfast ok. Great location, away from the madness, but if that's your thing, just a short walk will get you there. Lovely view of the sunset from the beach in front of the hotel. Just a couple of negatives there aren't enough sunbeds at this hotel around the pools. You need to be sat on them and stay there from 8am or you could miss out! As mentioned before, there is a stream running through the hotel grounds ' the stench trench' if you are unfortunate, as we were, you will be unable to sit on your balcony. The smell is vile!! No fault of the hotel, just be careful of room selection if possible.

This hotel was the 3rd stop on our Thailand inland hopping tour . Hotel was nice , room was fine , not the best of view , but ok . breakfast was also ok . Nice colcation on the beach , only negative comment , was a ditch that ran between the hotel blocks , which did not smell very nice . Staff fiendly , and swimming pool nice .

On the whole a lovely place, large, well equipped, clean rooms. Fabulous on site spa. Friendly staff.Great pool areas. Food at the beachside restaurant was lovely. Set right on the beach at a quieter part of Ao Nang but an easy 10 minute walk to the centre. Location suited us as the centre is brash but it’s a good place for getting boat trips, so that was our trade off as with only a few days in the area it meant no time wasted travelling in from more remote places. Unfortunately our room overlooked the drain that runs through the property which wasn’t always smelling sweet. However, on a plus it was great for the bird life and even saw a monitor lizard swimming up! We found breakfast was adequate, lots of choice, the egg station was great, maybe some items were not top quality but it served its purpose. Would advise going early as it gets a bit chaotic. Great that sunbeds can’t be reserved all day, if you leave, the attendants will remove towels after a period of time. This makes it fair for everyone to get a bit of relaxation by the pool rather than beds left unoccupied with towels on them for hours on end. On the whole would recommend for location, room size, cleanliness and staff…..and the spa!!

We had a fantastic stay at Centara Ao Nang and would happily return. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the hotel is beautifully maintained with clean, comfortable rooms. The location is a huge plus, just steps from the beach and shops, making everything very convenient. Although it’s a busy resort, it never felt overwhelming and there was always a quiet corner to relax. Breakfast offered plenty of fresh options. While it may feel slightly repetitive for longer stays, everything was tasty and well prepared. We stayed during the UK February half term and were surprised there weren’t many children around. The kids’ club looked clean and well run when we passed by. A tip: do your own research for restaurants and massages, as the TripAdvisor ratings weren't reliable. The best massages were on the beach to the left of the hotel exit. We tried a few of the massage shops but didn’t find them as good. We also highly recommend the Hong Island tour with Muk Andaman Travel, which was very well organised, felt very safe and was a beautiful day out. Excellent location, and truly kind hospitality. We left with lovely memories and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Krabi.
