We stayed at Dusit Thani Krabi for 4 nights and chose the property because we wanted to stay at a quieter beach area, while still having some beachside restaurant options nearby. We also wanted to try out the Dusit hotel brand. We booked a Club Sea Facing Suite, which was very spacious, with a huge bathroom, large living room area, and plenty of bedroom space. While the suite has a more classic resort aesthetic rather than a modern design, it was clean and very comfortable. Although the resort is beachfront, the majority of the hotel room buildings are set back from the actual beach. Our building and room were indeed sea facing, but we didn't actually have a view of the sea from our first-floor room. The staff throughout the property were friendly and welcoming, and the Club Lounge staff were especially helpful. We tried breakfast both at the main dining area and in the Club Lounge. As this is a resort-like property, it does cater to a lot of families, so although the main dining area has more options to choose from, the Club Lounge was a nice option for a more peaceful breakfast. We also enjoyed dinner at Limoncello one evening. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. The property itself is very large, with plenty of beach lounge chairs available at both of the large pools as well as on the grassy beachfront area. The location on Klong Muang beach was exactly what we were hoping for. It was much quieter than Ao Nang, with beautiful sunset views and a few beachside restaurants, including one where you can watch the popular fire shows. There were also several local Thai restaurants along the street near the main entrance, giving us plenty of options to dine both at the hotel and off. Overall, we enjoyed our 4-night stay and especially appreciated the quieter setting of the Klong Muang beach area. While the resort could feel busy with families at times (December is high-tourist season), the Club Lounge provided a nice retreat, and the spacious suite, property location, and variety of dining options made this a comfortable place to stay.
