Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort

This hotel is secluded near a beautiful Krabi beach, it is a very romantic place, from the moment you walk in the nicely appointed lobby you know that you are experiencing a real holiday away from noise. This was a birthday stay, I was very impressed by the special surprise birthday cake and decorations, cake was so yummy, a very big thanks to the chef and the wonderful staff that made this happen! There are few restaurants in this hotel so you tend to experience the French, Italian and Thai Cuisines to the best standards. The rooms are nice they kept the old classic furniture like wood style wardrobes which needed upgrading to match the elegance of this Colonial style hotel. The bed was very firm however I requested a bed topper which was fitted within minutes. Being a 5 star hotel in my opinion they should offer a pillow menu to cater for people who require specific pillow shapes as the ones we had although they are very luxurious feather down they were not suitable, luckily I had brought my own. Overall it was an amazing hotel that caters for couples, conferences and especially families with kids, there is so much entertainment for children. On the beach there are many complimentary hotel provided sun beds, the hotel staff provide you with luxury towels so spending time on the beach is very soothing, this hotel has a 400 meter pool. We look forward to visit again.

We have spent a wonderfully relaxing stay at this beautifully appointed and impressively maintained hotel in Krabi. Although set apart from the busy touristy centre, of Ao Nang, it is only a fifteen minute taxi trip away from the action, if you choose to spend the time outside of the peace and quiet of the hotel. As always, it is the wonderful ambassadors who work in and around the hotel that make any stay memorable. And so it was at the Sofitel. From the driver Alex to Bella and Christopher who made us so welcome on arrival and helped with information on all that was available to us during our stay. Thank you! Then there was the ‘dream team’ of butlers, Deena, Pepsi and Katy, in the lounge who entertained and fussed over us throughout our five day stay. They were absolutely delightful and made us feel quite at home. Also Troy, Luke, Nabi, Top, Tue, Peemai, Jeab, Naf, Som and Lita who along with our fabulous housekeeping (Kolis) and pool staff, who were all so friendly and helpful to us every day of our stay. These are just a few of whose names we learnt and were consistently generous with their time and assistance. Our room No 229, an upgrade to a Junior Suite using our ACCOR points, was perfect for our stay! We had everything we could possibly want to make us comfortable, including the bed, a lovely spacious living area and well equipped bathroom, that was refreshed beautifully twice a day by the helpful and friendly cleaning staff. There are a number of restaurants scattered along the street outside the hotel, however we chose to eat at White Lotus a lovely Thai and Indian themed restaurant and also Venezia, a wonderful Italian restaurant. For breakfast, Maya Restaurant was excellent with a large choice of foods. Thank you again to Lita, Som, Jeab, Peemai, Naf and Tue for looking after us in each of the three restaurants. The Sofitel Krabi boasts the largest swimming pool in Thailand. It is massive and whilst we were there we often had it to ourselves. There are lots of comfortable lounges all around the pool area and we enjoyed relaxing in this area of the hotel. If, however, you wish to swim in the Andaman Sea, it is just across the road. There is a lovely beach with magnificent views across the bay to the islands that are so easily visited by long tail boats that will pick you up on the shore across the road from the hotel. We took a four hour tour of the Hong Islands which were only twenty minutes away, leaving early at 7.00 am to beat the crowds and the heat that arrive later in the morning. We highly recommend this option. We would not hesitate to return to this beautiful part of Thailand and the wonderful Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort.

Fantastic stay. We were upgraded to a beautiful signature renovated room which was very spacious and very clean.Housekeeping daily and a beautiful turndown service nightly with room tidied and fresh towels. The pool spreads around part of the resort at 400metres in length, plenty of room for everyone and a dedicated adults only area. Plenty of sun lounges and cabanas. Beach across the road with private swimming area and more lounges. We tried the White Lotus restaurant on several occasions and the food was excellent as were the staff. Gym with sauna and steam room available with also daily activities available if desired.Loved the daily yoga classes. Now to the wonderful executive lounge staff who treated us like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were welcoming and friendly and so happy to oblige. Daily breakfast of fresh juices and fruit, tea/ coffee and main choice from à la carte menu in lounge. Buffet breakfast with many choices in main restaurant. Everything was fresh and tasty. Afternoon tea consisting of petit bits of fresh sandwiches and cakes. Delicious! Pre dinner canapés and drinks ranging from special cocktails, wines and beer. The whole stay was magnificent. A faultless experience . Highly recommend . I have been here many times for dinner and drinks. Food was amazing. Atmosphere was great. Service was phenomenal. Thank you to Khun Pee-Mai and Khun Focus for well taken care of me. I also love the live music at the bar next to Italian restaurant. The duo band usually play beautiful songs. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some place for a lovely evening.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and excellent hospitality especially the front office team such as Gabbi.k.bright,and k.apple who welcomed us kindly and took very care of us. The children really enjoyed playing in the pool. special thanks to the pool staff,k.lah nee,beam,aum,for taking care of the kids so well and always being attentive. we wold also like to thank you k. sandy at the kids club.there ware so many toys and activities for the children to enjoy,and they had a wonderful time. the restaurant were also excellent.the totel has many dining options,but we chose to have thai food.the food was delicious,the service was outstanding, and everyone was very friendly. special thank to lita ,may ,som,and all other staff members as well. we were truly impressed and would highly recommend everyone to come and stay here.
