Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort

Celebrating my birthday with my mother and family at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort was a truly special experience. What made this stay memorable was not just the beautiful resort, but the people who made us feel so welcome and cared for throughout our visit. A big thank-you to Khun Gam-Sudarat, Reservation Supervisor, for helping arrange our stay. Thank you to Khun Apple for assisting with check-in, Khun Thalia for the warm welcome, Khun Blues for escorting us to our rooms and explaining the facilities, and Khun JJ for helping with our luggage. I would also like to thank Khun Tom for taking lovely family photos for us. These pictures mean a lot to me because they capture precious moments with my mother and family that we can look back on for years to come. My sincere thanks to Khun Nueng, Spa Manager, for her warm welcome and helpful advice when I purchased Essence de Sofitel. I am also grateful to Khun Zeya from La Boutique for the lovely hotel-themed birthday card. It was such a thoughtful surprise, and I will keep it as a special reminder of this birthday. The birthday decorations prepared by the housekeeping team were another lovely touch. Walking into the room and seeing the surprise genuinely made me smile. Thank you to everyone behind this thoughtful gesture. We stayed in Rooms 172, 163, and 164, and I truly appreciate the care shown to our family. Although I may not know everyone’s name, please know that every smile, greeting, and kind gesture made a difference. For me, the best part of this birthday was simply being able to spend time with my mother and family. The team’s kindness made those moments even more special. It reminded me that great hospitality is not only about the facilities or the beautiful surroundings, but also about how people make you feel. Thank you to the entire team at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra for making this birthday one to remember. We left with happy hearts, beautiful family photos, and a lovely birthday card that will always remind us of our stay. I hope to return again in the future and create more wonderful memories with my family. With heartfelt thanks,

A Relaxing Family Stay in Krabi We stayed at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra for a week as a family during the school holiday. The resort has a beautiful, classic feel and a peaceful setting, making it a lovely place to slow down and enjoy time together. We visited in mid-October and had lovely sunny weather during the day, with rain on a few evenings. With our Accor status, we were invited to check in at the lounge, and the arrival process was smooth. I had seen YouTube videos suggesting the rooms might feel dated, so I was pleasantly surprised by how well maintained ours was. We had connecting rooms, which worked very well for our family. The rooms were spacious, the air conditioning worked well without being noisy, and the children loved having a room of their own. Our balcony also opened onto the garden, which was very convenient. Room cleaning was done well, and the laundry service was very efficient. The swimming pool is a real highlight, with a floating play area and activities for guests. The beach is just across the road, although hotel service there is limited: there are no lifeguards, towels or food and drink service on the beach. Ao Nang and other attractions are about 15–30 minutes away by Grab, depending on where you are going. There are also some basic local restaurants and services within a 5–10-minute walk, which we found useful. Breakfast had a broad selection of Chinese, Western, Indian and Thai dishes, along with fruit and even some sushi. The spacious restaurant was well maintained, and overall the breakfast was in line with—or better than—we would expect from a five-star resort. A few things could be improved: I would have liked to see salmon, and the bacon was quite dry. Local coconut jam, dried nuts and a wider selection of nut spreads for bread would also be nice additions. For food by the pool and room service, we found the portion sizes smaller than we would typically expect. Hotel services and activities, including island trips and other popular excursions, can also feel expensive compared with nearby options. The resort offers activities such as padel, tennis and golf, and overall it is well suited to a peaceful family holiday. Krabi has fewer nightlife and shopping options than Phuket, so this resort is a better fit for a relaxed break than for a trip focused on nightlife or shopping.

I had a traditional Thai massage session with Nah Saijaih at Sofitel Krabi. It was so good. Nah was extremely attentive to my requests, and applied just the right amount of pressure. The massage was very soothing and at the same time there was enough pressure to relax the pain points. I would highly recommend the Spa as well as Nah.
