Abou Sofiane Hotel

⭐ 1 Star Very disappointing stay. The only positive I can mention is the animation team, who worked incredibly hard every day and did their best to keep guests entertained. They were friendly, energetic, and a credit to the hotel. Unfortunately, almost everything else fell far below expectations. The food was poor, repetitive, and not suited to British tastes. We regularly struggled to find meals we enjoyed, and the quality was disappointing throughout our stay. The atmosphere and standards around the hotel were also not what we expected, and we witnessed behaviour from staff that made us feel uncomfortable. Overall, the experience left us feeling that the hotel does not meet the standards we would expect for a relaxing holiday. I would not return and would not recommend this hotel to other British travellers. Staff slap each other because they’re “stressed” which is absolutely diabolical. People in the hotel smacking their children in the face, however no one batted an eyelid. Paulita, and attraction man big shout out you made our holiday

When we 1st waked into the hotel at 3am we could of cried didn’t look the best, put the rest of my family in superior rooms which was what we paid for, put me and my kids far away from them in a room that had seen better days. Next morning I woke up and to be fair the staff at the reception moved me into a better room by my family, still not what I call superior but a lot better than what they 1st put us in. The pool and entertainment was fantastic, the staff there do a lot and work bloody hard and are the nicest people! I am from wales so there’s a few things there that I didn’t like to do with the people! Slapping they kids, the bosses of the entertainment crew slapping and beating they workers and men stringing women up, we reported this all and stood in for them but it’s like it’s not the norm there. The hotel is ok, take cash £ coz they don’t take card if u want to change money to Dina’s and the shop on site only takes cash and the nearest atm is a 5 min taxi ride..: the food is atrocious, although they do have a snack bar open by the pool from 12.30pm which does a little decent food chips chicken nugs ect also there’s a Hard Rock Cafe just up the road which is really cheap and you can download a app called Glovo which delivers kfc and papa johns… all in all we enjoyed it we went on private yacht jet skis and quad biking but the hotel in itself needs updating but the entertainment staff more than made up for it they was all amazing

Location great, right on the beach. Shame that we were constantly harassed by someone selling things or shoving things onto you. And the excursions fella pushing stuff (well over priced) as well. Food was ok, the food at the bar made up for it. The drinks were horrendous. Either liquors or watered down. But the only thing I drank was beer in the end. Don't expect a decent cocktail, you won't get. Staff lovely, especially the cleaners. Beautiful women that clearly work hard. Entertainment team was fab, Just a bit repetitive. What let it down was the actual hotel. The corridors were something out of a 70's horror. Bath tub painted, sockets very outdated. Shower head but no holder. "Mini bar" was the best though. A turned off fridge that had seen better days and was completely empty. And I paid extra for the sea view superior room and got a standard one with a view of the slides. Went to reception and she said "can you not see the sea from there then?" I was like yes but either side of the slides. The rest of the trip was such a dud as well. The port was dead. And just constantly harassed past every shop and restaurant. I won't visit the area again and certainly not the hotel.

The hotel staff and receptionists are excellent. The rooms are clean and the food is delicious and varied. Thank you, we will return.

Do not pay for this hotel...we paid for air-conditioning room . Sauna . Waterpark and gym. We got none of the above and when we complained they told us we could leave...the food is diabolical and that would be an understatement...deffo dont take kids and they will be very hungry unless you dont mind them living on the pool bar food which wasnt too bad. Room was full of ants and just too hot to sleep in or just chill on balcony ...however they did move us to a sea breeze room so got a cool breeze on the night ...this hotel has a 4 star rating ...no where near 4 stars id give it a 2 at best ....the staff cant do enough and are very friendly but I found all Tunisian people to be very friendly....id seriously avoid visiting this hotel
