Aziza Beach

What can I say about this Hotel? First let me point out the not so good, the hotel itself needs a tad bit of updating. It’s a bit worn. Apparently the AC doesn’t get turned on until June, but we were there in May and absolutely needed it at times. That’s it, that’s literally the worst I can say. The entire Hotel is immaculately clean inside and out. The pool area is a nice size and comfortable even when busy. The food was great. I’m a fussy eater and I was left absolutely full to bursting every single meal. I nearly always found something new to try. (At least 3 times a day.) I managed to put on a stone in 10 days. Woops. But the stars of the place are without a doubt the staff. Every single one of them treated us like close friends. The cleaning staff were always smiling and helpful. The bar staff, both inside and by the pool were incredibly friendly and have amazing memories when it comes to your favourite drinks. The guys at the front couldn’t do more to help us. And the waiting staff in the restaurants were incredible. So attentive and friendly. We were served most meals by one guy, I don’t know how to spell his name, but sounds like “kouki.” I can not speak highly enough of this man. Quite honestly I can’t speak highly enough of all the staff. They absolutely made our holiday. If you are looking for a day trip or two, go speak to Lofty outside. He organised a Quad bike tour for us and it was insanely fun and exhilarating. Make sure you bring money for tips..it’s highly appreciated by all the staff and trust me when I say they go above and beyond to earn it. If you want a shop for souvenirs, go out the hotel and turn right, the first one you come to is brilliant and the guy is friendly and has fixed prices. Don’t go to the other one a bit further down, they totally ripped us off.

Can't fault this hotel. Went as group of eight on a break. Arrived late at the hotel and advised upon checking in to go straight to dinner as restaurant would be closing shortly then complete checking in process. Room was clean, well appointed with a comfortable bed and all necessary amenities. Unfortunately I think the Tunisian clog dancing team were in the room above and insisted on rehearsing whisky I tried to sleep. Asked for a change of room the next day to the top floor which the great guy on reception sorted with no fuss at all. Speaking of said guy on reception, something like Hicham Ferjani( photo attached), couldn't be more helpful, friendly or approachable, a credit to the hotel. There are alternative dining options to the buffet restaurant, but to be honest, it was so good we never bothered. What a choice of great food and again, friendly helpful staff who bend over backwards to assist. Faciliies at the hotel are first rate, pool area a joy and choice of bars. The 'barbecue' near the pool overlooking the ocean was ideal for an afternoon bite to eat an a drink whilst soaking up the views and the sun. A few aspects of the hotel could with a sprucing up as its obviously been going for while. I can only imagine when it first opened it must have been ground breaking. The odd dodgy handle in the room or bulb out was neither here nor there. Would I stay again? Let's just say we're already booked for 2027!

We arrived after dinner had finished but when we got to our room we had a selection of food waiting for us. What a nice touch!. Room -large. Loads of storage. Clean. Safe for use free. No milk for drinks (if you ask at the bar they will give you a glass of milk). Our coffee was not topped up unless we went and found the guy who cleaned our room and asked for it. The beds were hard. Room was dated. Food. Plentiful and lots of choice. Waiters were attentive and were very efficient a tip always helps if you want a favorite table. There are 2 al la carte restaurants. We preferred the International one. They serve 4 courses which change each day. You can visit these as many times as you want but need to book them in the morning. Pool and beach. Clean and always plenty of sunbeds. Could do with waiter service rather than having to go and get your drinks but that's just my opinion.. Entertainment every night, depends on what you like. Location. A bit out of the way but the staff will always order you a taxi (must use Yellow taxis for safety!). The taxis are cheap and plentiful. Lofty is on hand with outside activities you can book. The clientele were older with most being in their 60s or over. They tend to come back time after time. When asked why they said that it was because the staff make them feel like family. We understood what they meant. All staff are friendly, happy and helpful. There were people in wheelchairs so the hotel is accessable. The staff were happy to help these people with whatever they needed. We enjoyed our time here and have recommended it to our parents who would enjoy the pace of the holiday.

Hotel Aziza was fantastic and I had a fantastic week away here. I feel a little bad at not giving 5 Stars, but 4.5 wasn't an option! The Location is great, tucked away on the beach, but just a couple of Miles from Hammamet town. The pool is superb and there are plentiful sun loungers set around the pool. The staff at the pool bar were excellent and friendly. There were also sun loungers and shades on the beach, although I didn't use these - being more of a pool person. The hotel itself is beautifully arranged around a central 'atrium' with both lifts and stairs to all floors. My room was comfortable and well-equipped and cleaned daily. It was also quiet as it was well away from the atrium - I would imagine some rooms may be a bit noisier in the evenings; but nothing went on very late. The buffet restaurant was all you really needed - plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some food I would describe as 'very good' and other items 'good'. There is also a snack bar serving pizza and burgers in the afternoon and an evening a la carte option - both are part of the all-inclusive. The lobby bar has entertainment in the evenings and the service here is exceptional at any time of the day. I only went to the 'pub' once and clearly picked a bad time as I was the only person there. There are daytime activities as well if you don't want to just chill. Probably my only downsides (which prevent a 5 Star review) are that I felt some of the staff were 'over-expectant' when it came to tips. I love to tip resort staff; but by the time I reached my room I already felt a little pressured to tip 2 members of staff. Whilst hard-working and efficient, the buffet staff also seemed a little over-expectant - I was also never quite sure if I was sitting in the right place/should seat myself, or wait to be seated. A resort map/plan/information pack would have been an amazing addition for me. All in all, a wonderful week away with great weather. Good value for money and would be happy to return.

We have travelled to Tunisia many times and stayed in some lovely hotels but last year we were looking for an extra cheeky week for our wedding anniversary, at an affordable price, we booked The Aziza, with fingers crossed. What a surprise we had! A smaller hotel in a quiet spot with a lovely beach and pool area, with staff and management who go above and beyond! Especially the lovely waiter who filleted my wife's sea bass every day. And the lovely reception staff who helped us get to a ceramics shop in Nabul, to buy a case of tiles for our garden tables, Thank you. It might be a little tired in places but it's a wonderful hotel. So to all you lovely staff, we are returning again at the end of May this year, once again for our wedding anniversary. We can't wait to see you all. We are sorry it's only for a week but I know this is going to be our anniversary celebration every year. If you're unsure if you should book. Don't be, you won't be disappointed. Book it!
