We stayed at Diar Lemdina Hotel for 5 nights and overall had a really lovely experience. The hotel is around a 45-minute drive from Enfidha Airport. We were actually upgraded to a suite on arrival, which was such a nice surprise. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable throughout our stay. Food & Dining - All meals were served in the Tunisia restaurant upstairs. The food timings were: • 04:00–07:00 – Early Breakfast • 07:00–10:00 – Breakfast • 10:00–12:00 – Late Breakfast • 12:30–14:30 – Lunch • 15:00–18:00 – Snacks • 18:30–21:30 – Dinner • 22:00–02:00 – After Dinner The restaurant is basically open all day, which is really convenient. You will notice some repetition in the food after a few days, but that’s expected with most all-inclusive hotels. There was always something to eat though. Location - The location is excellent. The Medina/Souk is literally behind the hotel — about a 4-minute walk away. Some shops have fixed prices while in others you can haggle, and you quickly learn which are which. Most shops stay open until around 8pm. There’s a good variety there: souvenirs, perfumes, spices, shisha, counterfeit items, and even a lovely calligraphy shop where personalised gifts were reasonably priced (around 5–10 dinars). There’s also a nearby department-style store called Joy’s, which sells snacks, drinks, and souvenirs if needed. Amenities & Activities - On arrival, we were given vouchers for 3 complimentary amenities: 2 museums and a hammam visit. Just note that the “free hammam” is only a 20-minute steam bath. Treatments like massages, scrubs, facials, and hair services are extra. A representative usually comes to reception around 10am if you want to ask about prices. The two museums are located within the souk, so they’re easy to access. There’s also a nearby theme park, and various restaurants. The theme park offers free entry through the hotel, but make sure you collect your wristband from reception first — we made the mistake of going without it! If you want to book excursions like quad biking or other activities, there’s a desk in the lobby where you can arrange these. Beach - The beach is about a 10–15 minute walk from the hotel. There’s also a Medina Beach Bar there where all-inclusive guests can get soft drinks and food. Parasailing is available about 10 minutes further along the beach and cost us 100 dinars (roughly £25). I’m genuinely scared of heights, but the instructor went up behind me and made me feel completely safe — definitely worth doing! We also did a horse-drawn carriage ride around the area. There’s a shorter route or a full lap; we chose the full one, which lasted around 15 minutes and cost 40 dinars. Animation Team & Entertainment - The animation team were friendly and entertaining without being too pushy. They’ll invite you to activities, but you can politely decline if you prefer to relax. Morning activities included: • Archery • Stretching • Dancing • Group activities Evening entertainment started around 9:30pm and included things like karaoke, quiz nights, live performances, magicians, and Just Dance. Before this, there’s usually a mini disco for children in reception where everyone gets involved. The team were genuinely lovely and welcoming. The only slightly awkward thing was that they sometimes asked guests to leave TripAdvisor or Google reviews there and then, which did make me wonder how many reviews were written under pressure. That said, they were all very kind throughout our stay. Bar - The lobby bar is open 24/7. There are separate menus for all-inclusive drinks and paid drinks. The bartenders were attentive, friendly, and honestly couldn’t fault them. Swimming Pools - Apparently there are 3 swimming pools. During our stay, we only saw the 2 outdoor pools as the indoor pool was locked the entire time. The outdoor pool area had a really nice atmosphere with music playing and plenty of sunbeds available. Restaurants - You can book 2 speciality restaurants during your stay: Italian or Mediterranean. Unfortunately, we didn’t book early enough and only managed to get the Mediterranean restaurant. It was about a 20-minute walk away in another Medina restaurant, and guests meet in the hotel lobby at 6:45pm before heading over. The meal itself was a pre-selected 5-course set menu consisting of salad, soup, pasta, fish, and cake. The food was decent, although the restaurant felt quite warm and the lighting was very dim. My advice would definitely be to book these restaurants as early as possible. Language - Most staff and locals speak Arabic and French, but many of the animation team, hotel staff, and even shop owners in the souks also spoke enough English to communicate easily. WiFi - WiFi is free throughout the hotel and doesn’t require a password, but the signal can be unreliable in certain areas. I’d definitely recommend getting an eSIM if you rely on data. We used Airalo and paid around £12 for 10GB, which lasted me comfortably for the 5-day trip. You can use my code for £2.50 off : GEE22624 Security & Deposits - There are security guards around the hotel, so it felt very safe and secure at all times. You’ll also need to leave refundable deposits for certain items: • Beach towel: 20 dinars • Iron: 100 dinars Reception keeps the money safely in an envelope and returns it once the item is handed back. Final Tips : • Keep your wristband visible at all times, especially for all-inclusive access. Different wristband colours indicate different packages (mine was blue for all-inclusive). • Book the speciality restaurants early if you want more choice. • Bring an eSIM or data package if you need reliable internet. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay. The location was ideal, staff were welcoming, and there was always something to do nearby. Definitely a good option if you want a lively atmosphere with easy access to the Medina and beach.
