El Mouradi Palace

We stayed at El Mouradi for a week in April 2026, and we wish we stayed longer! The hotel is very spacious with a very comforting lounge and bar area, with rooms that are regularly cleaned. The food offered was endless with amazing and delicious options for all tastes, and the restaurant staff was always attentive and polite. The location is also perfect as it is a nice walk away from Port El Kantaoui (and the hotel beach is a huge plus!). We loved the entertainment every evening, with different things happening every day. An honourable mention to Sam, Habib and the team who did everything to make sure the guests were welcome (they were one of the highlights of our stay!). The only criticism I have is the lack of WIFI in the rooms, which was a bit of a problem as I was attending online meetings, but this is not changing my 5 star rating as everything else couldn't have been better. This was our first time in Tunisia, but definitely not the last. We have already decided to come back to El Mouradi later in the year and are considering making it a regular destination every time we visit Tunisia. The price of the rooms for what you get is truly great value!

We had a lovely stay at El Mouradi and would happily return. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. The food was consistently good, with plenty of variety and fresh options. The staff are genuinely lovely and friendly. They were always happy to help with any little request and made us feel genuinely welcome. Security is excellent and unobtrusive. We felt completely comfortable leaving the balcony door open when we were asleep or out of the room, which added to the relaxed feel of the holiday. It’s a proper resort rather than just a hotel, and the location is brilliant. Turn right when you leave the resort and you’ll find a quiet area of local restaurants that offer exceptionally good value and warm Tunisian hospitality, without any pressure. Turning left takes you toward the busy marina area. Helpful tips for future guests: Ask the bar staff about the magnifique wine. It’s a really nice local red, and you can also buy it at the supermarket at the marina, although we suggest avoiding the very cheapest wines there. If you want to order in, Glovo is the local equivalent of Deliveroo. Collect your delivery from the road or front gate. The security staff are so friendly they’ll chat to you like you’re already family. Take a wander between the beach and the restaurant area. You might come across local camels, sometimes even a baby, as well as sheep, horses, and chickens grazing peacefully between the houses. It’s a lovely, gentle slice of everyday Tunisian life. We left feeling rested and well looked after. Thank you to the wonderful team at El Mouradi.

To rank the resort in the category of 5 star is conning the guests. Many staff members are rude especially the ones related to restaurant. If you are a vegetarian then expect not to be respected of your choices. No clear food labelling and staff laugh at your face if you complain of burnt food. The tongs and Ladles are all mixed between vegetarian and non vegetarian food. Will NEVER be back. Avoid at all costs.
