The location of the hotel is great to walk into El Kantoui, and the private beach is good. A taxi into Sousse medina was 20 dinar. It had a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, the animation team were friendly. Restaurant and bar staff mostly pleasant and helpful. Food was average, cocktails were poor. The room was good, plenty of storage and hangers. However, it took 2 days to fix the shower and we had to ask for balcony furniture. All in all, strictly average. You get what you pay for.

The hotel was nice and people very friendly
Our stay at El Mouradi Palace was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. Every member of staff was kind, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. The hotel was clean, the food was excellent, and the facilities were fantastic. We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable holiday and created wonderful family memories. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so special. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and hope to return again one day!
This was my 7th time at El Mouradi Palace, after a 12-year break. I have dreamt about coming back so many times, so I was very happy to finally have the opportunity. It didn't start great, so I'll start with the negatives first. Our room was old, smelled of mold, and the doors had holes in them. It looked like they had just ripped everything out to renovate the new rooms and didn't care to make our room fit to stay in. It felt more like a cheap motel than a 4-star hotel, and these rooms should never be used due to the health risks! I have never complained about anything before, but this time we had to switch rooms or simply switch hotels. Fortunately, we got a new room that was updated and had good air conditioning. No room has a functioning fridge, though. We saw two fridges when we inspected the new room, and one of them worked, but when we checked in, it was gone and never returned. There was no water boiler in the rooms either. Additionally, there were almost no functioning locks on the public toilets anymore. If there was a lock, there was no soap or paper. These are small things that would be very easy to fix, but it just doesn't happen. You actually have to hold the doors to the outside toilets while using them to stop them from opening. It's simply not okay. The food is good, but I was very surprised to see a bucket of raw meat (chicken) laying out in the heat waiting to be cooked. Do they really have no functioning fridges at this hotel at all? Lol... that is just inviting bacteria to the party and is not okay! I was so disappointed during the first few days because they have let the hotel go downhill from where it used to be, and it just felt like they are trying to take shortcuts with everything! Now for the good parts: After a few days, we got used to things and it got better. The staff make this hotel! They work so hard to make you feel welcome and ensure you have everything you need. I was surprised that many of them still remembered me from 12 years ago, like Khalif and Kamel, and they are so nice and welcoming. I also received top treatment at the spa from Hassem (I think that was his name). He is a physical therapist as well and very good at his job! The receptionists work hard too. One guy, in particular, made a great effort to get me a softer mattress so I could finally get some sleep. The animation team is the reason I keep coming back to this hotel. I want to participate in everything! This year was okay, but a little bit disappointing. Normally I join all the activities, but now they scheduled many activities at the same time, followed by long periods without anything at all. I tried to get them to change it, but it seemed impossible. They put up a schedule during the last week, but they didn't follow it. It also felt like some of them just chose certain guests to talk to while ignoring others. I experienced many times that they talked to everyone around me but walked right past me—though not everyone did this, but I have always become much more friends with the animators before. Yassine stood out as the greatest among them because he was always calm, collected, and nice. He is a very good archery instructor and just a nice person in general, but he is mostly in the beach area and not there at night. Rania was also so sweet and kind, and you always laugh around Firas (Ronaldo). We also got closer to Habib after a while, and he is a fun person. The music was often too loud, though. At the shows and the disco, it was simply too loud, and I think a lot of people will get their hearing damaged. It was the same by the pool sometimes. While playing darts, for example, the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other speak. Darts isn't just about the game; it's an activity you do to get to know the other guests, make jokes, and have fun together, but that part was lost because of the extremely loud music. What these animators were really great at, though, was dancing! On live music nights, they got all the guests dancing together, from kids to the elderly. It was so much fun, and I have never experienced this kind of dancing at the hotel before. Habib and Sam are exceptional dancers and great at getting people to join in! In general, the shows shouldn't be the same every week and should vary more, because many guests stay longer than one week. It's actually the exact same shows they ran 12 years ago. The most fun shows are the live music nights and the ones where the guests get to participate. At first, I just wanted to go home, but after 14 days, I wanted to stay. In the end, the atmosphere and the staff are what make this hotel great—along with the fact that the guests are so open and friendly.
