Hotel El Mouradi Palm Marina

I was really nervous and hesitant as what to expect after reading some previous reviews, but I can honestly say my husband and I have had the best holiday. The team at El Mouradi Palm Marina all played a part in making it such a memorable holiday. The food was delicious and had lots of variety, the prawns were a favourite - hats off to the chefs! Special shout out to the amazing, friendly waiters: Jamel, Imed and Rochdi who looked after us during our trip. They went above and beyond, and it was great to have a laugh and talk football - we felt they truly and genuinely cared about us. Rochdi (pictured) was so chuffed to receive an Arsenal top from my husband. I can’t forget the blue room bar man whose name I didn’t catch but he was absolutely fantastic in looking after us and even remembering our drinks order on a daily basis. Captain Jack/Najem - what a fantastic friendly guy! We booked on 4 excursions where taxis to/from hotel were organised seamlessly. The catamaran was my favourite and the quad bikes was my husbands! We also did the camels and pirate ship too. Captain Jack is a great host, he was cheeky, funny and always said hello! Solef is the best cleaner there is. She was so smiley and friendly. Solef made the effort to go above and beyond by leaving gorgeous surprises like swans using our towels and loo roll covered in rose petals. You can tell she enjoys her job and the guests too. Thank you so much for the lovely care. And lastly the animation team. What a great bunch of people who looked after us all week, joining in on all the laughs - mainly at our expense with winding us up. They all work incredibly hard and long hours yet still remain positive and have bundles of energy for the evening entertainment. Thank you for getting us all involved whether that be mini golf, darts or the chaos of water polo, which certainly got competitive. If you’ve made it this far down the review, you’ll be pleased to know I’m almost done. If you get chance, do go to the spa, we went for the full package towards the end of our trip and it was unreal! I’m not saying it was all perfect after expecting 5* according to Love Holidays: the room was a bit outdated, cracked tiles, mirror not great/smudged, one plug socket next to dressing table - these aren’t a huge deal as the room was very clean and basic. The air con, poolside bar and outside snack area area noted as included on Love Holidays however when we questioned these, we were told no because it was out of season. We had an issue with the fridge working and the bathroom light, however Arwa, our guest relation manager, sorted it quickly and efficiently. Great service! The WiFi was really bad but Arwa advised the hotel is going through an upgrade - it was actually really nice to have a device detox. In short, we had a fantastic holiday all thanks to the wonderful hotel team we met along the way! We also met a great bunch of new friends too and we plan to return together next year! Captain Jack is great at organizing boat trips, fishing trips, and quad bike rides. Hotel very nice food 5 stars.

Hotel is very nice, rooms okay. Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a bit of an issue on the first day here but was resolved.Location is fantastic. Beach is lovely and the outside pool is nice. Also got an indoor pool which is really good if the weather is a bit bad on that day. Local shops really nice entertainment team are absolutely brilliant really friendly, food is okay but not very good for children. Very repetitive. The guy that sells the jewellery in the hotel tried to cause trouble for us as I bought my jewellery elsewhere and tried blaming somebody in the hotel which I don’t think was fair. if I want to buy something I can buy it wherever I want, not where they want me to buy it. The guy that does the excursions Najem here is absolutely fantastic. I could not fault anything he went out of his way above and beyond. I highly recommend the quad biking the pirate ship and the catamaran where you get to see dolphins. It was such a beautiful day and the staff on the boats are absolutely amazing. The bar stuff are absolutely superb. They bring you drinks to the swimming pool. Bring drinks to your table in the evening whilst entertainment is on to save you carrying loads of drinks back to your table.
