El Mouradi Palm Marina — “5-star family hotel”? Cockroaches, a disgusting sewage smell, animal feces, a drink spat into, and badly maintained facilities. Our stay at El Mouradi Palm Marina was deeply disappointing and, in several respects, genuinely disturbing. The conditions we encountered were simply not what we expected from a hotel presenting itself as a family-friendly 5-star property. The persistent smell of sewage and drains was impossible to ignore. It was strong, unpleasant and ongoing. This was not an occasional whiff or something that could be blamed on a closed room. The smell was clearly noticeable and seriously affected our experience of the hotel. We also found cockroaches. For a family travelling with children, this is completely unacceptable. Cockroaches should never be part of a hotel stay, and certainly not in a property claiming to offer a 5-star experience. Then things became even more unpleasant. We found animal feces directly outside the door of our own room. Yes, animal waste was left right outside where our family was staying. Whatever the reason, this should never be considered an acceptable standard of cleanliness in a hotel. But the most disturbing incident involved a drink. We ordered four beers, but the bartender told us he could only serve two. When handing them over, he put his fingers inside the glasses to take hold of them. Later, we ordered another two. While serving one of them, we clearly saw, through the mirror, the bartender spit into the glass. We did not hear this from somebody else. We witnessed it ourselves. Naturally, we immediately raised the matter with management. We were told that the CCTV footage would be checked. We received absolutely no follow-up. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. Well, no real apology, we we just told 'sorry'. That response or rather, the complete lack of one — was extremely disappointing given the seriousness of what we had reported. This is not about being overly demanding guests or expecting perfection. It is about basic hygiene, food and drink safety, cleanliness and proper management. We also noticed numerous signs of deterioration and poor maintenance throughout the property. The photographs attached to this review speak for themselves. We are writing this review because other travellers, particularly families, deserve to know what we experienced before spending their money here. We arrived expecting a 5-star family holiday. Instead, we encountered: Cockroaches. A persistent and disgusting sewage smell. Animal faeces outside our room. A deeply concerning incident involving a drink. And facilities showing obvious signs of deterioration and poor maintenance. These are not minor shortcomings that should simply be accepted as part of a holiday. They are basic standards that any hotel should be expected to meet. A swimming pool, gardens, entertainment programme or attractive location cannot compensate for failures in basic hygiene and guest safety. If a hotel chooses to market itself as a 5-star family property, then the standard should be evident not only in its marketing, but in the actual experience of its guests. Sadly, based on our experience, we would not recommend El Mouradi Palm Marina to families looking for a clean, safe and properly maintained 5-star hotel. Think carefully before booking.

MI had a wonderful 7-day vacation! It was a great opportunity to relax, explore new places, and enjoy beautiful moments. The trip was well organized, and I really enjoyed the activities, food, and scenery. One of the best parts was spending time with family and friends and creating unforgettable memories. Everything was enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend this vacation to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing experience. Overall, it was an amazing trip, and I would love to do it again!
