We’ve had a fabulous time at le sultan. There’s a large selection of food at the buffet and lovely a la carte restaurants. We had a family room for 4 which was very spacious with a view of the pool. The cleaning staff paid attention to detail in the rooms and the bar staff were super friendly. The animation team; chico, sadok, ziko and dino were the highlight of our trip. They were lovely, kind people and always had activities for us to do during the day e.g water polo, other pool games, archery etc and put on great events in the night. All of the staff were wonderful. I don’t have a bad word to say. Definitely recommend!!
Very good team. Thanks Mrs Mouna and Ghofrane! Excellent environment and various activities (poney, little chef, treasure hunt, chocolate party, mini olympiade, etc). My little daughter enjoys spending time with every time we visit the sultan hotel. Thanks and keep it up!
What a fantastic holiday. Great hotel with extremely friendly and hard working staff. Facilities excellent very clean, food was very tasty and not repetitive at all.A good variety of quality drinks.Brilliant location and plenty of sunbeds to choose from. Highly recommended this hotel and we will definitely be back.
Great 11 nights, food excellent, service amazing. Beach nice, staff amazing
My partner (31) and I (33) spent one week at Le Sultan on an all‑inclusive stay, later joined by two friends for the final few days. We spent a lot of time on TripAdvisor looking for somewhere with consistently high ratings and detailed reviews. I’ve had a few holidays in the past where I’ve been ill or had issues, so now we research thoroughly. Below is my attempt to give back with a detailed and honest review. Summary This was our first time in Tunisia and I’d highly recommend Le Sultan to anyone considering it. We’ve stayed in several all‑inclusive resorts across Cyprus, Turkey and Morocco, and this one ranks very highly for us. It’s a relatively small complex compared to others we’ve visited, but everything is done well. Nothing overly fancy or extravagant — just a genuinely good hotel with good facilities, good food, a great beach location and great staff. Everything you need for a really enjoyable holiday. Staff Dino – What a guy. I’ve seen people mention specific staff members in reviews before and never thought I’d be someone who’d do the same, but he genuinely added to our experience. Friendly, polite, never pushy, never overstayed, and had great British humour. Even though we didn’t book any of the pirate ship trips, jet skis etc., he was still brilliant. Can’t speak highly enough of him. Bar staff – Special shout‑out to Aya (easy name to remember!). The pool bar was the only small downside of the holiday — I found it quite hard to get served and was overlooked in favour of French‑speaking guests/locals. Nothing major but it was a little annoying waiting longer than needed. I ended up going to the inside bar instead, which wasn’t much further and had lovely air‑con. They often brought our drinks straight out to the sun loungers. I tipped around 10 dinar (£2.50) once or twice a day and they’d come back regularly with crisps, extra drinks etc. Tips aren’t expected, but a little goes a long way. Cleaning & restaurant staff – Our room was cleaned daily, and the cleaner was always cheerful and friendly. In the restaurant, our table was reserved each day with drinks ready and even a flower on the table — all before any tip was given. Food & Drink Breakfast: 7am–10am (main buffet) Lunch: 12:30pm–2pm (main buffet) Snack bar: 3pm–6pm (poolside) Dinner: 7pm–9pm (main buffet) Food was very good with plenty of options. One of my friends is vegetarian and was happy with the choices too. Staff are quick and efficient with clearing and cleaning tables. There are two à la carte options. If you stay for a week, you can choose one to use once. We tried the outdoor one for lunch on our last day and it was lovely. The snack bar serves fresh crepes, paninis, pizza slices, waffle balls etc. Drinks: Beer is fine — much colder from the inside bar. To be fair, temperatures were in the 40s during our stay, which is unusual, so the outside bar probably struggled to keep things cool. Cocktails had plenty of options; measures varied a lot, but my partner enjoyed them. Water: The hotel no longer provides bottled water for environmental reasons. Instead, you get a large jug in your fridge daily, and you can ask at the bar for cups or jugs with ice. The water is filtered, and the ice comes into the hotel in sealed bags. We had no issues, and I don’t have the strongest stomach, so I’d have known if it wasn’t safe. Bottles would’ve been more convenient, but it wasn’t a problem. Facilities 2 padel courts – 10 dinar/hour for racket hire. We brought our own equipment. Easy to get a court, probably due to the heat. 2 clay tennis courts – didn’t use. Table tennis – shaded area, free equipment hire, and staff brought drinks while we played. Outdoor park‑style gym Indoor gym – didn’t use but looked fine. Pool – good size with a shallow baby/toddler section leading into a shallow main area and a deeper end (max 1.65m). Beach – right on site, small but clean and sandy. Sea is shallow and clear with lots of small fish for snorkelling and even some blue jellyfish further out. You get 20 minutes per day on a pedalo, paddleboard or kayak. They’re relaxed about timing, so no need to rush or book. Entertainment The animation team run pool games, water polo, darts, archery etc. They’re friendly and not pushy. At night, shows start at 10pm. We found that a bit late and it was still very warm outside, so we usually stayed in the air‑conditioned lobby/bar. What we did see was fine — nothing spectacular, but appropriate for the size of the hotel. Location We didn’t go out much. There are a few shops within a 5‑minute walk which have all you need. The hotel has a small shop but limited range and no chilled drinks. The beach is right on the doorstep. Transfer from the airport is around 45 minutes. Our friends paid 120 dinar (~£30) for a taxi. We had a pre‑arranged transfer. You may get it cheaper through the hotel. Room Our room was a good size with a huge, comfortable bed and lovely cool air‑con. The bathroom was large with a big shower. The fridge was small and mostly empty, but we adjusted the temperature and stocked it with water from the bar. The balcony was a good size. We paid for a sea view, which we technically had, but being on the first floor meant a large palm tree blocked a big part of it. Extra Note Our friends booked separately via Booking.com for four nights, which didn’t allow them to select all‑inclusive. We emailed the hotel and they were very responsive — they added all‑inclusive on arrival for 80 dinar per person per day (~£20). Great value and very helpful. Hope this helps anyone considering Le Sultan.
