Marhaba Club

Just home from a brilliant holiday with my daughters ,my friend and her son. The hotel is super clean, staff really helpful and friendly. I didn't get the name of the lovely lady who was always welcoming you as you entered the restaurant but a big thank you to her my daughter loved her so much and she always had time for her. The staff in the restaurant crazy busy but had so much time to help and ensure your drinks were topped up all the time. My friend is coeliac and the staff always ensured she had something nice to eat, showing her around and making her pasta,pizza,pancakes and desserts. Shout out to Ben the waiter around the pool, always a smile on his face no matter how hard he worked, knew your order before you asked and always giving hi fis as he passed. Pools were great, baby pool a great depth the main pool, loved that you can gradually walk in and tge water isn't too deep in the main part. We did go to the splash area nice touch but we spend most of the time at main pool or baby pool. Nice and warm, clean. Enjoyed the mini disco and the entertainment at the sister hotel, literally a few min walk, hotels share the same grounds so dont be put of by hearing the entertainment next door. Rooms great, Netflix etc on the TV is a brilliant touch wi fi great , kettle and fridge in my room .. rooms always cleaned. Shower over bath lovely. Hot water good pressure. I really dont have a fault to the hotel other than possible dodgy lift. That got stuck occasionally ( one on the left) Overall a fantastic holiday. Thank you marhaba club!

It was a pleasant holiday in Marhaba Club. Hotel was clean, food was tasty, fresh and varied. Entertainment team was enthusiastic. Majority of staff were friendly and helpful. We had a broken toilet seat which got fixed quickly. Beach was beautiful, it got quite dirty and there were jelly fish in the sea but they didnt seem harmful. Loungers were getting 'booked' by people putting towels on them as early as 5am when the beach was open. Beach was closed between 8pm and 5am. It was about 400m from the hotel. There were usualy loungers easily available in the afternoon. Music at the pool was really loud, to the point of not being able to hear the conversation. Splash area was fun, often adults were occupying large part of the pool near slides, which didnt seem very safe for those using slides. Room for improvement: - all staff seemed to expect to be tipped every time they did something for anybody, or even when they didn't! It seemed to be a common practice that costumers paid beforehand to be treated better, this is not tipping but bribing! There are countless staff at the hotel and our finance was drained by this. If you wished a table service anywhere - pool or at the show, this was available with extra tipping. Same for extra towels and tea bags in the room or extra drinks at the meal time. Since you tend to have 10 dinar notes, this was a minimum you could normally give. This was common everywhere, that peope expected additional money. Every bus driver or staff at water sports, or any other staff. - it would be helpful to have information provided at the beginning on what facilities are available at Marhaba Occidental Hotel, best to be printed off together with the all inclusive sheet that is already provided. Especially about kids club offer which is next to the stage and we only found it once staff went around the pool to tell us about it half way through our stay. There was a second beach bar as well that we could use and a bar that screened footbal games. There is a fixed price souvenir shop at Occidental which is reasonably priced. - It would also be good to have information about reliable tour agencies and local attractions. - if you like coffee I would advise to take one from home as ones at the hotel were not great at all. - less music volume at the bar please - more chefs at breakfast, to help the pancake lady. She seemed really stressed and tended to have long queues - there were no waffles available,despite the label, so rather remove this as an option of offer genuinely - usual taxi tariff after haggling was 10tdn to medina and 15tdn to port el kantoui. Ask to be dropped off in specific place, otherwise they drop you off anywhere they find convenient and then you still need to walk!

Lovely hotel great experience would highly recommend! Great entertainment for all the family, great way to spend an evening! Shout out to Rico for making us feel extra welcome!

Lovely hotel with amazing staff. Couldn't fault the food or the friendliness of all members of the team. Entertainment great for little ones and pools / beach great. Cannot fault - shout out Rico!
