Marhaba Club

Just returned from a wonderful all inclusive stay and I would certainly visit again. Food - The choice in the main restaurant was vast, there were what I assume Tunisian stews and tagines each night which did rotate, the restaurant had several stations were chefs prepared food whilst you waited, pasta, pizza, grilled meat and on one night a paella and mixed prawns and mussels, another had a sushi night. Very little of the food was cheap stuff like chicken nuggets, it was all fresh, varied and very tasty. Lunchtimes had a similarly varied menu with foods being prepared as you watched. Breakfast included, cheese, meats, cereals, eggs and a crepe station which did little for my weight whilst staying. Room - Rooms are basic but comfortable with a full bathroom and either views looking into the pool area or out onto gardens. Bed was comfortable and the room gets cleaned every day. General hotel - cleanliness of the hotel and gardens was spot on, the rooms getting cleaned every day and the rest of the hotel was spotless. The selection of drinks was ok with your standard soft drinks, beer and spirits and cocktails with a never ending supply of all. Tea, coffee and water available all day, the bar suppply large bottled water for taking away. The pools were always clean, if a little cold and they didn't seem to run out of sunbeds. Snacks could be found during the afternoon at the pool bar. This time of year seemed to be very family orientated and the hotel animation team were top notch providing entertainment for all ages through the day and a good show every night. Other facilities - You can use the facilities of the adjacent Occidental Marhaba which has a gym and indoor pool, the two hotels shared a beach bar which was also included in the all inclusive package and there was security keeping the hawkers selling cigarattes and other cheap tat, be warned if you stray away from the sunbed area and walk to the sea they will pounce on you, several strong no's will deter them. The area around - we walked to nearby Sousse, about a 45 minute walk and would rather do this than take a taxi, it's a nice walk mainly along the sea front and at no point did we feel unsafe. Be aware that you might be approached by someone saying they are your hotel chef or security and know a lovely cheap shop, they are not the chef or security and the shop will not be cheap, they have just read the arm band you have got on your wrist. It's a common scam and easily solved by turning the armband over to hide the hotel name, wear sunglasses to prevent them making eye contact. The medina in Sousse was interesting but full of fake goods. Also if you do use a taxi, note that none of them seem to bother about seatbelts and many don't seem to have them. The only aspect of this hotel which I didn't like was a rep walking around promoting camel and quad bike experiences. Check your holiday insurance as most cheap insurance will not cover for an accident whilst undertaking this activity, the rep says 'no problem, we are insured' but decide whether to trust this, emergency air repatriation is staggeringly expensive if your holiday insurance refuses to pay out. I wouldn't hesitate to visit this hotel again if and when we visit Tunisia again.

Wow still here now and to be honest it’s the best hotel I’ve been to in Tunisia , staff are all so lovely and can’t do enough to help , animation team made our holiday and we are 2 females in our 50s , big shout out to Ricko, Mahdi, Fouffa, and Sophie who kept us entertained both daytime by the pool and in the lobby in the evening, I would definitely return to this hotel without a doubt well done Marhaba club 🎉🎉🎉
