Marhaba Royal Salem

As I was travelling solo, I chose to come back to this hotel as I'd enjoyed it previously, knew what to expect and would feel safe. Reception Warm welcome, smooth check-in and although I didn't like the 1st room offered, the receptionist/porter were fab at offering an alternative. I woke to find the room flooded..which, embarassingly was my own doing! The reception team were super efficient in arranging maintenance/room attendant to solve the issue. Tip - don't do what I did and inadvertently knock the tap designed for washing yourself in the toilet 🤣 I was especially touched that when I checked that the bank was on the right hand side of the gate, the receptionist/porter chose to accompany me so I felt safe. As a solo female, that small thought was very much appreciated. Rooms Spotless, I'd forgotten how comfortable the beds were. My front facing room wasn't the quietest due to a nearby local restaurant having late-night live singers but it was Ramadan and I enjoyed listening. The room attendant was lovely. I don't need my room done daily but on the 2 occasions I had it done, the lady left some lovely towel art. She always greeted with a lovely, warm smile. Pool/Gardens Beautifully kept. I didn't go to the pool at the sister hotel where most of the action seemed to be as I was there for peace. I went to the main pool twice but found I preferred the beach. The pool attendant and waiter were both very friendly/helpful. Beach Beautiful! Spotless, sand raked daily, waiter was friendly/helpful, security were kind at helping with beds etc. Very peaceful and thoroughly relaxing. No alcohol at the bar as its out of season but that was no biggie. Restaurant Was lovely to see some of the same waiting staff from when I visited before..that tells a story in itself. Appreciated the flowers on my table one lunch and the waiter having drinks on the table for my arrival in the evening. Food quality generally very good, something for everyone. Bar staff They were lovely, friendly, polite, attentive and respectful. No mean feat given how some of the other guests were behaving ( I think as its cheaper it attracts the kind of guests you don't see in peak season.. there to drink as much they can!) Particular mention to the staff in the sister hotel who remembered me. Welcomed with wide open arms and a farewell to match. Such warm, attentive and kind hospitality. I'd left an eyeliner on the seat and the waiter kindly returned it the next night.. impressive service even at such a low value item! Guest Relations What guest relations? Saw a lady twice who I think that was her role but wouldn't know as I never actually saw her come round and check guest satisfaction or at the GR desk Entertainment Great singers, entertainment team did great job of trying to get everyone involved and also doing their own shows Jeweller shop Fantastic customer service! Bought jewellery previously which we'd damaged. Took it with me. Again, they remembered me, repaired and cleaned everything at no cost. I did buy something else, likely at over the odds but given their service I was happy to do so... they're trying to make a living after all! Location I like the location as its close to Sousse Medina, Port El Kantoui and has short transfer times. Couple good shops just outside as well as a bank & few restaurants All in all, I had a lovely stay again and was glad I chose to return..I can see why many do! I'd highly recommend this hotel for great value for money..just bear in mind Tunisia 4 star not like UK and they're catering for all tastes. Thanks to all the staff at both hotels for helping make my stay a safe, rekaxing and thoroughly enjoyable one 🙏

I come to this hotel many times and I like Tunisia a lot the animation team they are very friendly and I like the show for dancing too

So disappointed. Been coming here for a while. Place sticky and dirty. Food salty and sugary. Guests alcoholic, particularly from Tui UK. Staff not being paid because of fascist Erdoghan.

I came to Marhaba Royal with my family in February and honestly it’s the first hotel I’ve stayed at that really prioritises entertainment and guest engagement. Big shoutout to Alinzo, Hama, Taha and the hospitality group for their amazing customer service – they made the experience so much more enjoyable!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Entertainment every night and lots of daytime activities by animation team - lively, welcoming and friendly team. Couldn’t fault their work, they look after all the guests and ensure everyone has a good time. Will definitely be back.
