Just leaving this hotel after a great week's holiday. First impressions after arriving on the coach were not good. The exterior of the hotel isn't so inviting - a dated 'unloved' mini golf course with bits missing from some of the holes plus an empty car park. There was also a bit of a wait for the room on check in and we were told to head off and get some lunch (I thought this a bit strange as it was out of season and the hotel nowhere near full). Luckily my negative first impressions were misplaced. The staff in the hotel are excellent. A special mention to Easy, Hamash and Selma in the entertainment team, Hamdi in the bar and Aymen in the restaurant. We stayed in room 243 and we're very happy. Rooms are clean, beds very comfortable (slept like a log every day) and it was nice to have a bath rather than just a walk in shower. My only gripe would be minimal plug sockets and sometimes leaky doucher on the toilet. Maids were very nice. Towels replaced every day, including swan / heart/petal display on bed. Fully functional heating / Aircon / safe at no extra charge. We asked for kettle at reception and one was ent straight away. Food in the restaurant was good. Lots of choices ranging from chips / pizza to traditional Tunisian. We mainly ate fresh omelette in the morning, soup and salad at lunch and Tunisian hot food in the evening. I only encountered one thing I couldn't eat which was some slightly undercooked fish that had been served in an individual silver foil casing. It needed another 5 mins in the oven. We never used the gym, indoor pool or hammam during our stay but it looked very nice. The entertainment team were great. We did boules in the morning and afternoon, but there was also yoga, tennis, archery and darts on offer. In the evening there was karaoke, bingo, raffle, magician, vocalist on a rotation. Staff were quite happy to get additional tables and chairs from outside if there was nowhere to sit. Nothing was too much trouble for them at all. The guests were a good mix of nationalities - mainly Brits, French, Germans. All the guests we interacted with were very nice. Thank god not lager louts on the booze from dusk till dawn. I definitely recommend and would happily come back again. Very good value holiday - we went with TUI but lots of easyJet customers here as well for similar price. Thank you everyone for a great holiday.
