Mediterranee Thalasso Golf

This hotel, for a 3 star was amazing. The entertainment staff made the holiday (especially Max who seemed to speak 6 languages and always ensured we were included in all events. His music made the time at the pool something special). Hotel food was comprehensive and varied. Only issue was that WiFi didn’t reach the rooms.

All the favourable reports are very true. A brilliant week, amazing food, so much choice and all perfectly cooked and presented. Beautiful gardens and three pools to enjoy. All the bar staff brilliant, so are hotel staff. For value for money, this hotel has everything you wish for. One downside, you need to rent pool towels, 5 euro each, peanuts when everything else is free.

Stayed at this hotel recently and had a great time. Some great things about the hotel; plenty of sun loungers available (on beach and by swimming pools), weather was great for time of the year (October), staff are very friendly and will do their best to help/accommodate you , room is small but nice, views are beautiful- palm trees and well maintained grounds. Some areas of improvement; first room we were put in had ants crawling in the bathroom and walls and even on bed by time we returned 2hrs later, food was okay (beware that though pictures show pizza/burgers it's their own spin on those things), snacks turned out to be leftovers from lunch, have to pay extra for pool towel and extra room key, and maybe most importantly for some- WiFi doesn't work anywhere besides reception area/just outside that area (I actually ended up enjoying this as it forced me to disconnect and just enjoy my holiday). All in all, good views, nice staff, food okay and need better WiFi.

Although in last month before closing for winter and a few areas had shut (beach restaurant/no aircon) this did NOT detract from an excellent and relaxing stay (couple 2 weeks ). The food, staff throughoitand location were top notch and it was definitely pinching above its star rating. For the price you struggle to find better !!!

Beach lovely, water warm and clear, enough sunbeds. Good choice of food, although queues at cook to order stations, and of course only ersatz pork on pizzas etc.. You kinda get used to the wine… Staff on the whole friendly, especially cleaners, animators not too pushy for those who don’t require animating. Local 1st language is Arabic although most signs are in French and the locals seem to speak just enough English, French, German, Polish etc to get along. Not much of interest outside the hotel locally. 40-minute walk or 10 dinars in plentiful taxis into Hammamet centre. No out of hours hot water, tea/coffee/kettle options although the tap water is drinkable. You can’t take Dinars out of the country or use them in duty-free, customs will swipe your leftover cash with receipt to pick up on return to Tunisia. It’s not a 5* hotel so there are imperfections, I travel a lot for work & leisure and even the finest hotel has it’s niggles. If you are looking for a reasonably priced restful beach holiday you won’t find much better.
