Some things at this hotel are great. Bar staff and restaurant staff are excellent, they can't do enough for you. Main bar and lounge area are also very nice and the bedrooms were spacious but maybe a little dated. We had excellent WiFi in the room on day 1 but unfortunately it didn't work on day 2. After numerous trips to reception to try and get it fixed it finally got repaired 3 days later. Not great when you have a teenager. The real downside for us was the lack of evening entertainment. In the 7 nights we were there we had a saxophonist for an hour 1 night and a singer/ bellydancer on our final night. A bit boring for us. Also, the beach and sea were not great. Basically just seaweed and jellyfish. All in all, if you want a nice, very quiet, relaxing holiday. This is the place for you

Here are the pros and cons of this so called 5 star hotel . Some staff pleasant and helpful . Gardens well kept Sadly these are the only pros . The cons are as follows . The hotel is run down rooms are tired and dated . Stained furniture . Damp patches throughout hotel Shower mouldy Carpets worn out . Very poor A/C throughout hotel Food of a cheap poor quality liver , kidney , tripe and sausage served several times per week . Cooking of the grill same tongs used for raw , meat and fish and cooked items . Raw meat tipped over cooked meat and fish . Under cooked chicken from grill . Eggs not fully cooked on grill . À la carte restaurant asked how you want steak cooked came out raw and still cold in centre . Limited supply of certain foods first come first served then no more . Local people use the hotel pool not hotel guests everyday from around 3.30pm Influx of local people at the weekend this hotel cannot cope not enough sun loungers Towels . The beach is an environmental disaster looks like it was once a dumping ground. All along the beach there is rubbish certainly not as described.It is a health hazard . This is not a 5 star hotel. Please be warned go elsewhere this is a waste of your money as we have learned to late .

This was our first trip to Tunisia. We spent a lot of time researching which hotel to choose and opted for this one due to the reviews and cost of holiday! We weren’t disappointed! The staff at this hotel really can’t do enough for you, even down to organising a doctor visit for our son who was taken ill with an eye infection. The pool bar staff are great they spend all their time catering to your needs during the endless hours sat around the pool. The restaurant staff are very attentive to your needs, after day 1 we had the same table for each meal laid out and ready for our meal which I think is above and beyond what we expected. The room was spacious and well laid with the biggest bed my wife and I have ever slept in(and comfy) and a more than adequate extra bed for our teenage son! Air conditioning was amazing and a welcome relief from the heat! Only down side with the room was, the bathroom could have been cleaned to a higher standard and more frequent, maybe I’m being a little picky? Also the mini bar didn’t get restocked on 1 day during the visit! The foyer and bar was spotless, spacious and cool, again the bar staff here were great! The hotel grounds were spotlessly clean. The only real negative about the hotel is all day Saturday and Sunday there are many more guests (adults and children) and the general atmosphere changes, busy and loud both at the pool and in the restaurant( maybe a game changer for some). All in all we really did enjoy our time here, we are looking at the possibility of returning again next year! Thankyou to ALL the staff at this hotel for your hard work and dedication!

First of all staff were lovely no complaints. However the receptionists were not so friendly and efficient. We booked through Easy Jet holidays and on our departure from hotel we were supposed to get information from Easy Jet as to when bus would pick us up we received nothing. We saw a small bald receptionist/manager who booked us in when we arrived and was very friendly then however not so on our departure We told him we had not had word re our departure and eventually he said bus would arrive 8 am for our 10.30 am flight. We questioned this saying was that early enough and he assured us it was. In fact we went back and asked again and was assured it was right. At 06.30 am next day, day of our departure we got phone call to say bus was waiting for us . We had just got up and no way could we be ready in 5/10 mins! We ended up with a taxi which cost us 50 euros. We were at Oceana hotel 10 years ago and found food not so good. Nowhere to get light snack at lunchtime. Chairs in main area very uncomfortable. As I said staff on main lovely just needs better management.

Advertised as 5*. Knew it was tired. Rooms and corridors to rooms very tired. Damp patches on walls, worn carpet. Rooms were big but lacked modern finesse and amenities. Comfortable beds. Cleaning staff excellent. Communal areas well maintained and elegant. A bit soulless with only reception area bar open. Restaurant. Advertised 3. Only buffet open or Al a Carte twice a week and the food was the same as the buffet but plated for you and served rather than serve yourself. Poor for the price. Buffet was excellent. Plenty of choice and Weill prepared to cater for all nationalities and tastes and ages. Need to time your meals well to ensure a terrace table. Must be a bunfight in high season. Beach restaurant was over priced rubbish. Sent the food back twice and it was not included in the hotel package. Drinks: reasonable quality local wine. Nothing to rave about but cold enough. Pool and grounds: immaculately kept. Excellent all day from 10am drinks at lounger service. Pool guys with lounger cushions and towels. Good shade from the trees. Must be very busy in high season and even in June it was a little bit hard to ensure the same lounger unless you wanted to be up at dawn. We moved around and never had a major issue. Beach was good. A bit dirty. Nice breeze most days so pleasant to sit out until 7pm. Guests. Overseas guests on packages were mainly retired couples. Eat early..grab bar stool types. At weekends the hotel fills up with locals and their kids. It becomes a nightmare to find a lounger or get service. The staff seems to gravitate to the locals or maybe they are just louder. Also if you don’t like smokers…this hotel is a no no. Smoking everywhere despite no smoking signs. Adult only area: never open, bar closed. Smelt of cat wee. Avoid at all costs. It might not have been high season but this hotel is missing a trick. It could be amazing but seems a bit seedy and run down. It felt it bit like a Marriot conference hotel in New Jersey. Trying to hold onto the 5* but needing to hide the fact that it isn’t fully open. I don’t think I would go back for the price and I wouldn’t pay high season prices. It rates an average. Finally, never close the balcony door when outside as no way to open from outside. Currency exchange at reception is reasonable if you show them you know the rates. Water pressure in showers is useless but it does have baths in the rooms…great but does indicate the hotels age.
