Paradis Palace

we have just come back from a fantastic holiday at the Paradis Palace, and overall we had a brilliant time. We were genuinely sad to leave! The hotel had everything you needed, and the staff were absolutely lovely — so friendly, helpful and always happy to assist. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. The food was okay. There was quite a bit of repetition, particularly between lunchtime at the beach bar and the evening meals in the main restaurant. There were queues at times, but honestly, they weren’t a major issue and didn’t spoil our holiday. The rooms are a little dated, but they were kept clean every day by the cleaners. The air conditioning was an absolute godsend, especially in the heat! A special mention has to go to the entertainment team, who were fantastic. They were great fun, friendly and worked so hard to keep everyone entertained. The only suggestion I would make is perhaps bringing in some external singers or different entertainment on some evenings, as a few of the shows weren’t the best. It would also give the entertainment team a well-deserved break! The only negatives for us were the sunbeds and the room layout. You really needed to be at the pool well before 7am if you wanted to get a sunbed, which was a bit of a pain when you’re supposed to be on holiday! The bedrooms are also very open-plan, with the shower actually situated within the bedroom and only separated by frosted glass. This isn’t ideal when sharing a room with a teenage boy, as it takes away quite a bit of privacy. A little more separation between the bathroom and bedroom would definitely be an improvement. The drinks definitely weren’t watered down either — and the cocktails were absolutely lethal! 🤣🍹 All-inclusive really did mean all-inclusive, and despite a few little things that could be improved, we had a great holiday at Paradis Palace. The friendly staff, fantastic entertainment team and overall atmosphere made it a really enjoyable stay

We spent one week here and the hotel was amazing we had a stressful start at the airport loading our car keys but was reunited with them from customs the hotel upgraded us for the stressful experience and all staff are very friendly and the entertainment through the day and night are also so friendly and fun all day have plenty of energy, we will definitely be coming back to this hotel and location in Tunisia

Overall, we were quite impressed with Paradis Palace. There is always that slightly amusing anxiety when everyone gets on the transfer coach and you start dropping tourists off at their hotels. As you pull away from each one, you quietly think, “Thank God I’m not staying there!” Then, of course, the anxiety kicks back in, “But what if ours is worse?” 😂 Thankfully, when we arrived at Paradis Palace, we were really pleased with our decision. The hotel does look a little dated in places and feels slightly like it is stuck in the 1990s, although with jet skis and parasailing still going on outside, perhaps that adds to the holiday nostalgia! Despite its age, the resort itself is extremely clean, tidy and very well kept. One thing worth knowing is the smoking. If you are a smoker, you will be in your element because it seems to happen pretty much everywhere. If you are not a smoker, it can be quite difficult to get away from it. The beach directly in front of the resort is lovely and clean, with beautiful sand and clear, cool sea water. Once you venture further away from the hotel area, though, there is noticeably more rubbish and litter, which is a shame. The staff have been excellent. Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful, including the camel guys working along the beach, who were great fun and never caused us any hassle. The pools… well, this is where things become a little more interesting! 😂 They can get absolutely packed, with plenty of alcohol flowing, bad language and the usual selection of holidaymakers who occasionally forget that there are other people around them. We generally preferred the beach, which was far more relaxing. The food was genuinely very good. There was plenty of variety, the restaurant service was excellent and we never struggled to find something we liked. Being all inclusive, you obviously get the traditional mountain sized plates being carried back to tables by people determined to get every penny’s worth from their holiday! 😂 One slight frustration was the sunbeds. Even when you are up early, the beach manager appears to reserve some of the better positioned beds for guests who tip him. We soon learnt the system though and made sure we were down early enough the following morning to reserve our own! Overall, Paradis Palace has given us exactly what we wanted. An amazing sandy beach, lovely sea, good food, friendly staff, enjoyable social entertainment and, most importantly, a genuinely relaxing holiday. A week here has been perfect. Personally, I am not sure I could manage two weeks, but after seven days I feel properly relaxed and have really enjoyed myself. Would I come back? Yes. It might be a little dated, it might occasionally feel like the 1990s never ended, and you might have to navigate the sunbed politics, but Paradis Palace has a lot going for it and we have had a really good week’s holiday.

A great find with a beautiful peaceful pool area. The staff and service was fab throughout the week. A great variety of food with fabulous service. The hotel was very clean and well kept. There were lots of different places to eat within the hotel but occasionally some of the facilities were not available. However, overall the hotel was very relaxing and the rooms were fab.

We had a fab time at this hotel. Rooms were brilliant but lack of air conditioning was an issue. We ended up goin out and buying 2 fans from maxi centre just so we could sleep! Even after asking at reception if there was anything they could do even us hiring a fan, nothing came of it so had no choice but buy some. The maids cleaned the rooms daily and were so friendly. The animation team, well they were fab during our stay. Made so much effort to come speak to us and get us involved in games etc but if we said not today they were fine about it. All of them were absolutely fantastic. Food, so much variety to suit everyone. Not once did we think oh there’s nothing for us today, we ate like kings/queens during our stay. The afternoon snacks went down a treat with my sons. The a/I drinks menu wasn’t brilliant and the bar staff didn’t understand when we asked for a cocktail even though it was on the menu. A few times they had no alcohol in. The staff in the Eden bar were really rude to me (English female) even in front of hubby and not once rude to hubby/sons. I ordered a drink then asked for a lemonade aswell and got told to order in 1 go, next time i ordered wine and lemonade together and got told off for doing so! Made me feel really bad for asking for a drink twice and told me off for leaving a puddle of water on the floor even though it wasn’t me but 2 women who were there before me! After that I didn’t use that bar, didn’t feel like I was welcome. The beach bar on the other hand, the staff were fab there. They were very busy but handled customers really well and even got the know what we wanted. The restaurant staff were amazing too, we sat same area each meal time and had same waiter most of our stay but he was fab, didn’t get his name but he always made us feel very welcome. The whole place is such a lovely place to go. Not much outside the hotel, we had to travel in a taxi to visit the town but that didn’t stop us. The nighttime entertainer was good what we saw, couldn’t get a seat to actually see it so only watched it a few times. And once a rude guy told us to move as his family were coming to sit down. We sat down anyway, who told him he could save a whole row for himself. The sunbed situation, 6am alarms to get a sunbed anywhere close to the pool. And yes we stayed on them unlike most who reserved beds then disappeared for hours! And should not have used hotel towels for sunbeds but we saw quite a few doing that! And nothing was said even though signs up sayin not to do so! One rule For 1 nationality and 1 for another it seemed! Apart from few issues we had a fab holiday, it’s what you make it yourself. Didn’t let rude people stop us enjoying it.
