Paradis Palace

This hotel is, at best, GOOD. ( if you’re not to fussy and don’t look too hard) Rooms. The rooms are pretty standard, clean and everything you need to sleep, shower and get ready, although we did stay in the bungalows during the summer heatwave and the AC could not cope, it was dreadfully hot, like a sauna every night. If you want a decent modern room, don’t book. Food. The restaurants are decent, offer a variety of freshly cooked meat/fish and pizza with fresh salads and rice etc.. deserts are nice but just defrosted and served. Unfortunately the food is pretty much the same breakfast, lunch and dinner. We personally didn’t mind because we’re not too fussy and it was all of a decent standard. Drinks. Pretty shocking. Crappy plastic cups, warm drinks with zero selection to choose from. Local beer is actually nice ( in the boozer down the road). They do serve in glass inside but it’s still not great, really lets the all inclusive down. Pools. 2 main pools and a ‘quiet pool’ the pools are decent for adults and kids and have one slide. Unfortunately they didn't get cleaned very often during our stay as the water got a-bit mirky. Again, don’t look too hard as the pools definitely need a good deep clean round the edges and in need of an update to make safer, the grids kept braking round the edge, leaving big holes for kids to fall in. Life guard a joke, blows whistle for people jumping in, the proceeds to push guests in for a ‘laugh’. I’m all for fun and jumping about, I love it. But can’t be doing with double standards. Beach is lovely and clean, best part of the hotel. But was so hot during our stay we couldn’t use it too much. Entertainment was your average stuff, all the animation staff put a lot of effort in everyday and night, despite the heat. No AC indoors to relax at night, was hot pretty much everywhere. Good shop on site sells pretty much everything you would need. You need a taxi to get into Hammamet or Medina. 95% of the staff are great, really friendly. Can get busy at peak times so it takes the waiters longer to clear and re set tables for you. Overall I think the hotel needs a big refurb to get back to its 4 stars. With that all being said, we did really enjoy our stay with our kids, our friends and their kids. Thanks Paradis Palace for a nice holiday, but definitely some improvements needed.

Very good hotel, the beach sand is very smooth and the food is really delicious!

this is our first time in tunisia with my mother and sister.the room was clean and had good ac, Food everyday was amazing, animation team are very funny outgoing and caring

Initially apprehensive about Tunisia as this was our first time visiting a Tunisian hotel, but this turned out to be the best hotel experience we have had, and really didn’t want to come home. All the staff were warm welcoming and very attentive. The staff work so hard. The animation team are amazing and we cannot thank zizou, Pika Sam and especially Djambo enough, they worked tirelessly throughout the week we spent there. The waiters were on the ball all the time whether seving during meals or serving drinks poolside. Special thanks to akhmed who served us at both lunch and evening meals, great lad and busy busy busy. The room was fine (aircon not the best) never had an issue with the room and the cleaners were in daily and provided a great service. The pools were spot on (we never used the quiet pool) however we were in the pools all day. Getting a sun bed was more challenging as the morning wore on, but if you were up early enough this was never a problem. Food was nice, plenty of choice I particularly loved breakfast. I could not speak highly enough of this place, the staff made the holiday from reception staff, waiting staff cleaners and animation team, really and truly made you feel welcome from the get go.

The hotel is very clean although the rooms are very dated and in need of a refresh. The food overall was very good with plenty of choice although the queue for certain things could be quite long at times. Our kids loved the pool there two different pools and if you are only a two minute walk too the beach which was ideal. The only annoying thing about the beach was the amount of salesmen bothering you, it got ridiculous. Went down just before 6am to watch the sunset and I was getting hounded. Staff at the hotel could be hit or miss some couldnt do enough whilst others where pretty rude and almost couldn't seem to care less. Two of the biggest let down at the hotel was the drinks options. A lot of the time the kids juices where ran out and the various cocktails which were half decent you have to pay extra for which was a shame along with the sizing of the drinks if you were taking them outside where served in ridiculously small plastic cups. The second being the air con it was non existent and made tea time/evening so uncomfortable and just not enjoyable. Its got a 3 stars as the kids had a good time and the hotel is clean but we wouldnt be returning as we've stayed in far better hotels on the two previous occasions weve visited hammamet.
