Sentido Bellevue Park

Just arrived home after 7 nights at this hotel and I will start with the positives. When we arrived the hotel seemed really spacious and friendly and we were greeted very warmly at reception where we were told to get some food before the restaurant closed. When we came back up we were given our room key and had a member of staff bring our luggage to our room which was very spacious so the first night we were very happy. To cut a long story short I feel like this was the highlight of the holiday. From the first day at the restaurant it became apparent that the food was going to be a problem for us as a family as they didn’t really cater for English people especially the breakfast and if you had an egg allergy you would be struggling to find something to eat. Speaking specifically about the restaurant as a whole it was a major worry with the cleanliness , I witnessed cockroaches in the restaurant on 2 occassions and 3 of my family members had a bad stomach for most of the holiday. We even witnessed a cockroach crawl across the table at the à la carte restaurant on our last night. On a positive the waiters were amazing and very attentive and to mention one in particular that looked after us was Akram he made our dining experience better for being extremely good at his job. The animation team were also amazing and probably the reason people come back to the hotel along with the bar staff who never left you without a drink. My main concern is the cleanliness of the hotel. We had maid service once a day but my son accidentally sprayed suncream on the mirror on day one and it stayed the whole time we were there, along with the stains on the mirrors on the corridors and glass panels on the restaurant. It’s just an indication that the main areas are not cleaned properly and in a hotel that is so busy it’s an invitation for germs to multiply and cause major issues. Sadly we would not return to this hotel because of this as spending well earned money on a holiday that makes you feel ill is not really what we were hoping for.

This hotel is NOT a 5-star hotel. As a mum travelling alone with my 3-year-old, this was one of the worst holidays I've ever experienced. The hygiene was unacceptable. I personally witnessed kitchen staff handling food with bare hands and arguing in front of guests. There was mould in our bathroom, cockroaches around the dining area, and the hotel was poorly maintained throughout. The children's pool was in poor condition, while the main pool became overcrowded and dirty very quickly. Sun loungers were another nightmare. Guests were reserving them from 3 a.m. or even the night before, despite this supposedly not being allowed. Unless staff helped, it was almost impossible to find a place to sit. By the end of my stay I became severely ill with violent vomiting and diarrhoea and, now back home, I'm also dealing with a sinus and ear infection. I cannot say where I became ill, but after everything I witnessed, I have serious concerns about the hygiene standards. The only positive was that a few staff members did their best to help me find a shaded sun lounger for my son. This hotel needs a thorough inspection. It falls far below what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. I would not return or recommend it to anyone.

Second time here at this hotel’ the maid was fantastic the sea view room was ok the service was amazing ‘ the pool was lovely the food fantastic staff in and around pool bar can not fault 10 out of 10 in all great 7 days

Hotel disappointing. Rooms in need of renovation, aircon a bit rubbish and corridors had musty smell / often cluttered with random mattresses / beds. Indoor pool closed at time of visit which we were not made aware of. Outdoor pool ok but felt dirty (black areas of tile grout). Not enough sun beds at the pool and confusion as some staff appeared to reserve. I assume this was so something available for people arriving at the pool later but not clear if they could be used or not! Broken sun beds further away from pool near bar not great. Food reasonable but drinks selection not great- premixed cocktails not that nice at all. We used the spa but again fairly unimpressive and not sure it was worth the price. Evening entertainment let down by surroundings and difficultly actually seeing performers due to pilars in the bar. On a positive all staff were very friendly/ welcoming/ attentive and did the best they could. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.
