We had a holiday here not too long ago and honestly it was one of the best, if not THE best, holiday I've ever been on. I visited with my husband and our son, Jonah (3), and I want to start off by saying that everyone who worked in the kids club (MyMo Minis) was absolutely fantastic! Especially Daniel, Clara and Lea ! After a few nervous days, Jonah absolutely loved going to the club, and he especially loved the kids disco in the evenings - they were so much fun even for the adults! The whole kids team are absolutely fab and I couldn't recommend them more highly ☺️ I also have to mention the performance and entertainment team - Lorenzo, Tasmin, Jasmen, Livia, Damian, Oushington and Swazi. They were absolutely incredible and we loved seeing them performing - they were so talented and so so great to watch. Not only were they incredible entertainment, they were also so so friendly and spent so much time talking to us and making us feel welcome in the evenings in general. The hotel in general was absolutely stunning, super clean, there were so many activities on offer and the food was really tasty and varied - especially on Tunisian food night with all the delicious baklava and fig pastry! I think I might have eaten my body weight in dessert on those nights 😂 Lastly I wanted to give a special mention to a couple more of the staff - specifically Freyah and Fifi (sorry I forgot his full name but he was the tennis guy) - they were both so lovely and kind to us all and to Jonah and went out of their way to make our stay really special 🥰 We had such an incredible holiday and we're already planning a return trip for next year to see more dancing from Lorenzo and co, spend more time chatting with the staff, and in general just to have another opportunity to stay at our new favourite hotel 🙌🏼

## 1) Food and Hygiene We were extremely concerned about hygiene standards during our stay. Two members of our party became seriously unwell on the second day and were bedridden for two days with stomach-related illness. I am still suffering symptoms now and require a GP appointment upon returning home. During the stay we also witnessed multiple guests vomiting around the hotel grounds and overheard several conversations regarding stomach bugs affecting guests staying at the resort. We avoided drinking local water, so this raises serious concerns regarding either food hygiene standards or a virus spreading around the hotel. Flies were regularly seen on uncovered food in the restaurants, with no covers or fans in place to prevent contamination. This was particularly concerning considering the number of guests appearing unwell. The food and drink offering was also far below what would reasonably be expected from a 5-star all-inclusive resort. There were significant gaps during the day where food was unavailable, including between breakfast and lunch service and again between approximately 4pm–6:30pm when snack facilities closed. This is completely unsuitable for families with young children who often need access to food outside strict meal times. There were no self-service drinks stations or ice cream facilities available, which is highly unusual for a family all-inclusive resort. The only snacks available in the “coffee shop” were cakes and pastries, with no healthier or child-friendly options such as fruit, sandwiches, or simple snacks suitable for younger children. In addition, there was a complete lack of allergen information displayed on food. When staff were asked about allergens, they appeared unsure and unable to provide clear answers. This is extremely concerning from a health and safety perspective. Alternative dietary options were also poorly catered for — for example, I had to specifically request oat milk at breakfast as no alternatives were available to guests without asking. --- ## 2) Facilities Very disappointed that the hotel facilities fell so far below expectations, particularly given TUI’s reputation and the hotel being advertised as a 5-star family-friendly resort. The layout of the hotel was extremely segregated, with the kids’ club and exercise activities located far away from the main pool area. This meant our family constantly had to split up if some members wanted to participate in activities, unlike most family resorts where activities are centrally located so families can remain together more easily. The advertised water sports facilities were also misleading, as they were only operational for 2 days during our entire stay despite being a major selling point when booking. Another major issue was the lack of available sunbeds. Most days it was almost impossible to secure one due to guests reserving them with towels very early in the morning, with no visible management intervention from the hotel. The overall condition of the hotel was nowhere near the 5-star luxury standard advertised. There was visible damage and poor maintenance throughout the grounds, including broken lighting, chipped paintwork, worn areas, and a generally run-down appearance in multiple locations around the resort. Accessibility was also poor. We had an elderly relative in our party and had to physically assist them around the resort due to the steep ramps, many of which had no handrails. Whilst ramps technically existed, they were not genuinely accessible and often felt unsafe. Our hotel room also had several faults upon arrival including issues with the fridge, balcony door, sink, and consistently cold shower. Whilst these issues were repaired relatively quickly after being reported, this should not have been necessary in a supposedly premium hotel. The spa “hammam experience” was also misleadingly advertised. What we received was simply access to a steam room followed by being washed down in a dark separate room with a shower head, which did not resemble an authentic hammam experience in any way. --- ## 3) Entertainment The entertainment offering throughout the holiday was disappointing and poorly organised. During the daytime there was very little visible entertainment around the main pool area, creating a lack of atmosphere. Activities were spread out across the resort rather than centred in one accessible location, meaning families had to separate throughout the day if some members wished to participate. The evening entertainment setup was equally disappointing. The children’s disco was located a considerable distance away from the amphitheatre, meaning families had to repeatedly walk back and forth throughout the evening instead of enjoying entertainment in one central location. This became especially difficult with children and elderly relatives in our party. The amphitheatre itself was unsuitable and inaccessible for elderly guests or those with disabilities due to hard stone seating and poor accessibility arrangements. In addition, guests were not permitted to bring drinks into the amphitheatre, making the overall experience inconvenient and uncomfortable. Overall, the entertainment lacked the quality, organisation, and family-friendly setup expected from a 5-star TUI resort. --- ## 4) Staff Whilst many staff members were outwardly friendly and polite, there were several concerns regarding professionalism and guest support. Although staff were pleasant on the surface, at times this friendliness felt heavily motivated by expectation of tips. One restaurant staff member directly asked us for £20, which we found extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable. Staff knowledge regarding allergens and dietary requirements was also poor. When we asked questions regarding allergens in the food, staff appeared unsure and unable to provide clear or confident answers, which is unacceptable from a health and safety perspective. There also appeared to be a lack of management intervention regarding ongoing issues throughout the resort, including sunbed reserving, hygiene concerns, and overall organisation. --- ## 5) Flight Experience Unfortunately, the poor experience continued during our flight home. My daughter has a severe peanut allergy, and we informed staff at the gate prior to boarding. Their response was simply “ok” with no apparent understanding of the seriousness of the situation. My partner then had to return and specifically request early boarding so we could wipe down the seating area ourselves, as had been accommodated on the outbound flight. Despite this, we still received no meaningful support from staff and other passengers were allowed to board ahead of us. This added unnecessary stress and anxiety to an already disappointing holiday experience and left us feeling unsupported regarding a serious medical issue.

Currently on the bus to the airport, crying child as she doesn't want to leave. Seen a few posts on here and would like to put across my point of view. Facilities - 10/10 - one of the best value for money hotels around. Bang for your buck, e exceptionally good! Food - 10/10 - great selection, caters for everyone and it is absolutely great service from the team in there. Big shout out to Bilel, he was fantastic and made our table up with flowers and our drinks every night. Staff - 10/10 - from the bell boys to the cleaners to the entertainment team, the food hall staff, the bar staff and every single person in that place. You made our holiday as special as it was through your kindness, level of service and just being lovely people. Taz and Damien from the dance team were lovely and really loved having you guys performing. The girls loved cheering you all on. Big love to Freya and Raja - our girls have fallen in love with you two and you were so patient with them. Special people that take real pride and love in that they do. Ezzeddine in the bar, ohhhhhhhh wheeeeeeey! Thank you for every night in the Captains bar, we have never been so well looked after in a bar in any hotel! Dont listen to any of the negative reviews, go and see for yourself. Treat the staff with the respect they deserve and you get 100x back. Special hotel!
