TUI MAGIC LIFE Africana

Hedi , Mariem, Nasser and the whole team are amazing. We have returned for our second trip here as we just couldn’t fault our first stay. The warm welcomes, the friendly smiles and nothing is too much trouble for anyone. We also got to meet the hotel cats this time round. It’s a lovely sight to see them being so loved and looked after. Be sure to say hello to Lady gaga, Bagira & Lily!

The TUI Magic Life Africana Hotel is the best hotel I've ever stayed at with my family. There's nothing better in Tunisia! The food and accommodations are top-notch. But it's really about the people... Wonderful service. My warmest regards to everyone. Special thanks to Jazz for his wonderful personality and wonderful yoga, Khaled for "I love you so much," my friend, and Rachid (Riccardo) for his wonderful humor and the energy you bring to people. Special thanks to Aziz at the front desk, because it was no problem to buy an extra night and change rooms. Vlad, you're the best DJ in the world!!! Thank you to Bassem for helping me learn to water ski. To the entire team of dancers, and to the world's best singer and wonderful girl, Swazi. Also, a big shout out to the pianist, who provided us with wonderful afternoons. One small complaint: the tennis courts need some improvement. No one seems to care for them. We had a great 10-day experience at the Africana hotel. The facilities were incredible, and all of the staff were frienly and welcoming. There were many individuals who vastly improved our experience who deserve a shoutout. The chef Imed was very welcoming walking around asking if everything was fine with our dinner. He made gluten-free pasta dishes on multiple occasions for a member of our party. Upon a question of how a Tunisian dish was made, he asked if we wanted to go to the dinner hall early to watch it be made which was a fun experience. We enjoyed the fitness sessions that were on in the morning, the majority of which were led by Alcione who brough the energy and entertainment to an otherwise tough wake-up call. We would also want to shoutout Saber behind the bar who was very happy in making us a customised cocktail. After the first couple of times, he would see us coming and start making the next cocktails for us. He would also go out of his way to bring the drinks over to us outside and brought over rounds without us having to order when we were finishing up! We enjoyed the complimentary watersports that we could partake in once a day and the team were encouraging and always happy. Our only recommendation would be to not go on the quad bike trip sold through the hotel. It was sold as a 2 hour adventure through the mountains but it was tame, 1 hour of driving mostly on roads and farm tracks with two 20 minute breaks.

Have stayed in plenty of Tui hotels before, but this one did not meet expectations. Rooms were lovely and a decent size. Cocktails were awful, only the Mojito at the reception bar was any good, we even tried to buy cocktails at the paid for bar, but they didn’t have the ingredients for a Pina Colada or Strawberry daiquiri. We stayed at the Magic Life in Belek Turkey previously and the facilities there are far superior, with a better food choice, which were open for longer. When we got home and checked my credit card bill, I have been double charged for my spare treatment, have emailed the hotel twice and still not had a reply. Tried to contact Tui directly btu as I book ed the with hotel (which is a Tui magic life hotel) they apparently cant help me. So looks like only way of getting a refund is to fly back to the hotel!!! Make sure you check your credit card before you leave for the airport

the place was great BUT my friend fell down some stairs leading to our room before we had even got in there! The stairs had NO handrail or sign to say they were there. It was late at night and we were tired. It took 4 days for the reception staff to believe she had a serious accident and an accident form was filled in by the Tui rep. It then took over 5 hours for reception to get a wheelchair so we could go to hospital to be checked out. All staff were lovely except the reception as they didn't understand English very well. the access around the pool is NOT wheelchair friendly as it is all cobbles and very hard to push a wheelchair as the wheels get stuck also the slopes to get up and down are very steep made of marble and can be slippery. All in all, my friend stayed in her room for 7 days as she couldn't get out, even eating her meals there! NOT GOOD ENOUGH! HANDRAILS should be added to ALL the stairs as a warning to people there ARE stairs there and to assist going up n down them. There are handrails going into the food hall so why not everywhere? PLEASE BE CAREFUL in the corridors everyone. BTW my friend now has a disc injury which might need surgery!
