Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection

We stayed at Acanthus Cennet mid March 2026 and had the best week - our lovely room with a poolside view and balcony was spotless and cleaned every day - the food was always delicious with loads of options plus 2 à la carte restaurants which we used and were superb - the drinks were plentiful and we tried lots of cocktails 🍹- the weather wasn’t brilliant so we didn’t use the outdoor pool but did the indoor pool which was a great alternative - location was perfect with lovely long walks along the promenade with little bars and restaurants- all in all a wonderful holiday ❤️

Firstly, the staff, service, facilities, food and drink are all outstanding. Staff could not do enough for you. Pool, bar and spa are all superb. However, sadly we will not be returning. The promenade outside the hotel is over run with cats which the locals are feeding by the bucketload. Inside the hotel grounds the cats are running everywhere. I know many people love them but my wife has a strong fear of cats so this will prevent our return in the future as it is a great hotel apart from this point

From check in to check out the whole experience was very good. Staff were attentive and guest relations were always available to answer any questions and book the à la carte etc. special mention to Sanne who made us laugh each evening on the way to our room. Food wasn’t repetitive, each evening had a theme night, the plus for us was the food was always warm, there was no need for a microwave! The patisserie was also very nice, in fact too nice! Rooms were spacious and there was so much storage space, the mattress was very comfortable, very similar to the Hypnos mattress we use at home and the pillows also passed the test, we didn’t need to use the pillow menu. There was a coffee machine, pods replenished daily and a kettle. The mini bar was replenished every day and if you needed anything extra like water, it was there instantly, and remembered for the rest of our stay. Entertainment each night in the lobby bar was good, a couple of the acts we had seen on YouTube so we were glad to see them whilst we were there. The waiters in the bar work really hard and once they had served you a couple of times they remembered what you drank, the same with the outdoor bar, we sat down one day and wondered why nobody had been to us for the waiter to place our drinks in front of us, absolutely loved it. Yes, we went out of season and the outdoor restaurant was closed, but what was available was more than acceptable. The promenade was a nice walk, although again, not a lot open, but that wasn’t a problem. We went to Side market on the Saturday, which was about a 20 minute steady walk, lots of stalls and a few bargains. We were very lucky with the weather and had a couple days on the beach on the sunbeds which are good quality. Overall, the hotel is modern, clean and friendly as it’s not too large as opposed to some hotels we have been to in Turkey. The gardens are immaculate, the gardeners need a lot of praise. This is the fifth 5 star hotel we have been to in Turkey and is definitely the best so far and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you for making our visit so relaxing.

I am extremely disappointed how our booking was handled by Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection. We were informed that my mother would not be accepted at the hotel due to her medical condition. She is stable, not infectious, and fully able to travel. We clearly stated that we were prepared to take full responsibility for her care during our stay. Despite this, there was absolutely no willingness from the hotel to engage in any discussion or even consider the situation individually. As frequent international travelers who have stayed at numerous high-end properties, we have never encountered such treatment before. For a five-star hotel that promotes excellence in service and hospitality, this approach is not only disappointing but raises serious concerns about inclusivity and professional standards. Denying a guest solely on the basis of a medical condition — especially one that poses no risk to others — without transparent reasoning is deeply troubling. In 2026, it is both surprising and unacceptable to face such exclusionary practices. Luxury hospitality should be defined by empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to accommodating guests wherever reasonably possible. Unfortunately, this experience reflected none of those values. Shameful.

Lovely holiday, very relaxing. Never managed to book into the a la carte restaurants but the buffet did not disappoint! The service was fantastic, and the staff work very hard, always with a smile even when very busy. We had a penthouse suite with jacuzzi which was great, and used a lot! Had a very late flight home so requested a late checkout of our room, which for us was worth the money. Only downside is the outdoor pool not heated, so could not use. Weather was quite stormy, but when the sun came out and the wind dropped it was a lovely temperature. The walk to the old town is well worth it, very pretty and great historical monuments. We also booked some excursions which were great. Final mention for the cats - they are absolutely gorgeous and so obviously we'll cared for. Made my little boys day when they came to sit with us! All in all, really enjoyed our time here and would love to come back.
