Overall Rating: 3/5 We have just returned from our stay and, while there are certainly some positives, there are also several significant issues that mean we would not return or recommend this hotel to families with young children. Positives The food was surprisingly good for an all-inclusive resort, with a wide variety available throughout the day. The à la carte restaurants are a noticeable step up in quality and are well worth booking if you can. One feature we really appreciated was the availability of bottled water. There are stations located throughout the resort where you can simply help yourself, making it incredibly convenient, especially in the summer heat. The bars are well stocked, the drinks are good, and queues are generally very short, so you are rarely left waiting. The swimming pools are excellent, with plenty of choice for children of different ages. There is also an abundance of high-quality sunbeds, and the shaded areas are fantastic, making it much easier to spend long periods outside with young children. The hotel is also fully air-conditioned indoors, which provides a welcome escape from the heat, and the complimentary minibar in the room is a nice added touch. Cons The biggest issue by far was the smoking. The resort is predominantly occupied by Russian guests, many of whom smoke constantly throughout the day. Unfortunately, there appears to be little consideration given to those around them, including families with young children. More importantly, the hotel itself does nothing to separate smokers from non-smokers. Smoking is permitted virtually everywhere outdoors, including the covered restaurant terraces where families are eating. It was almost impossible to sit outside for any length of time without cigarette smoke drifting across your table. Around the pools, outside the bars, during entertainment, and while walking through the resort, cigarette smoke was a constant presence. For a hotel that actively markets itself as family-friendly, this was incredibly disappointing. Parents should not have to spend their holiday moving tables or searching for somewhere their children can eat or play without being surrounded by cigarette smoke. The hotel could very easily introduce designated smoking areas or non-smoking family zones, but currently makes no effort to do so. This single issue significantly affected our enjoyment of the holiday and is the primary reason we would not return. The service from staff was inconsistent. Some members of staff were outstanding, friendly and attentive, while others appeared disengaged and gave the impression they simply did not want to be there. English is also fairly limited among many staff members. While we appreciate we were visiting Turkey and do not expect everyone to speak fluent English, it did occasionally make communication more difficult than expected. Another frustration was the constant sales pressure. The spa staff and photography team repeatedly approached us throughout the day trying to sell massages and photo packages. Despite politely declining several times, we continued to be approached by the same people. We were easily asked six or more times each day, which became very tiresome. The bedroom walls are extremely thin, meaning noise from neighbouring rooms travels very easily. This can be particularly challenging for families trying to settle young children to sleep. The roller-skating drinks service around the pools is a nice idea, but in practice the service appeared inconsistent. Certain groups seemed to receive much more attention than others, while many guests were largely ignored. Finally, the hotel’s handling of the FIFA World Cup was poor. A large outdoor screen had been set up near the lower part of the resort, and every goal was met with extremely loud cheering that echoed throughout the hotel. On several occasions this continued into the early hours of the morning, with many guests being woken around 3am. For a family-focused resort, there appeared to be very little consideration given to guests with young children who were trying to sleep. Overall This is a hotel with some genuinely good facilities, decent food, excellent pools and plenty of shaded areas. However, the complete lack of control over smoking, together with the relentless sales approaches, inconsistent service and late-night noise, ultimately overshadowed the positives. If you’re travelling as adults and smoking doesn’t bother you, you may well enjoy your stay. However, if you’re booking because you’re looking for a genuinely child-friendly family resort, we don’t feel this hotel delivers. Until the hotel addresses its smoking policy and creates proper smoke-free family areas, we could not recommend it to families with young children.
After hours of research to find perfect hotel that ticked all the boxes for our first trip to Turkey, hotel Adalya Elite certainly delivered. The main entrance lobby was stunning. À la carte restaurants were 5 star, grateful thanks to Oksana and her team we were lucky to experience Chinese, Italian & Mexican dining. The staff in à la carte work very hard, going above and beyond making the whole experience memorable. The hotel is exceptionally clean, housekeeping work very hard, our large family room was alway kept spotless, refreshing towels, fridge daily. Special thanks to Halil who took exceptional care of us each morning bring our coffee, hot chocolate & fresh juice without even having to ask. Thanks to Lili for our lovely Turkish bath. Sunny boy, Kadar, Ayden, Murat, Mehmet, who contributed to making our trip amazing. We took a day trip to Antalya city, however we were a little disappointed. You never need to leave the resort, everything has been very carefully planned and designed considering all age groups. I especially enjoyed the exercise classes especially trampolining. My 8yr old granddaughter loved the waterpark, wave pool and waffle shop. While my daughter loved to relax and chill at the beautiful pool. Thank you 🤩
The hotel facilities, food and service are outstanding. This was our first ultra all inclusive family holiday and within minutes we knew it was worth the cost. I would like to state that all staff are wonderful, a particular mention for Erol (he will not realise, which is an example of the authenticity of the service) but his general way with our family was very welcoming and warm. The cleaning staff are incredibly friendly as are the supportive guest relation staff. Thank you to Hande, Oksana and Kader for answering our questions. The hotel standards are top - we will return. Perhaps we can book direct with the hotel - we will ask.
Good meals and services and activities and the rooms
Great hospitality, great service, clean rooms. Great stay. Hande was especially helpful in the guest services department, making booking our a-la-carte very easy. Will come again!
