We have just returned from our second visit to this resort, and once again we had a lovely holiday. Like any hotel, there are a few areas that could be improved, but overall this is an excellent resort with superb staff, high-quality food and drinks, and some of the best evening entertainment we have experienced. Check-in & First Impressions Our check in was smooth, although we were slightly disappointed not to be offered a welcome drink either by the receptionist who checked us in or a entrance greeter as we noticed other guests receiving one during our stay, so perhaps we were simply overlooked as we arrived in the evening. On entering our room, we found the towels folded on the shower floor rather than on the towel rail, and there were no drinking glasses provided for the minibar or soft drinks. These were only minor issues and, once mentioned, were quickly resolved the following day. Our Room We stayed in Room 4016, (See location on hotel Map and views from balcony in the phots I have attached) which was classed as a land-view room. However, we still had a good view of the sea, although at some distance. The room was in a quiet location, not far from the lifts, which saved a long walk down the corridor. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained. The only real issue was the lack of blackout curtains particularly as it was east facing and sunrise was at around 5:45am, the sunlight came straight through the curtains. Ho and the quilt cover not being wide enough to cover bed but we were provide you with separate quilt covers solve the issue. After mentioning this to Guest Relations, the response was excellent. Within just a few hours, proper blackout curtains had been installed. This was a great example of how seriously the hotel takes guest feedback. Guest Relations were extremely helpful throughout our stay and could be contacted easily via WhatsApp. Any requests or questions were acknowledged and dealt with very quickly, which made a real difference to our overall experience. Our housekeeper also deserves a special mention. The room was always spotless, and most days we returned to find creative towel displays, which added a lovely personal touch. One thing worth noting is that the balconies are on the smaller side, although perfectly adequate for two people. Food & Drinks The quality and variety of food throughout the resort was excellent. The main buffet restaurant offered an impressive selection at every meal, with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. In the evenings, there was also an outdoor barbecue cooking area, which was a great addition. There is an adults-only dining area, which was appreciated as, on this occasion, it was just my wife and I travelling. It was also good to see staff politely ensuring that families with children did not dine in this area and were directed to appropriate dining areas. Drinks were equally impressive, with a good selection of recognised premium brands available throughout the hotel. We enjoy a Cosmopolitan cocktail made with raspberry Absolut vodka. Although this was not available, the bar staff provided a good alternative using raspberry syrup, which was appreciated. À La Carte Restaurants Guests receive one complimentary à la carte visit for every seven-night stay. The available restaurants were Italian, Turkish, Mexican and Asian. The Fish Restaurant is not included but can be booked for an additional charge. Italian Restaurant This was outstanding. The waiter who looked after us on both visits genuinely enhanced the whole experience. His attention to detail, professionalism and friendly manner were first class. On our complimentary visit, I ordered my steak medium rare, but unfortunately it arrived well done. However, everything else was so good that we happily paid €25 per person for a return visit. On our second visit, the steaks were cooked perfectly, and once again the same waiter provided exemplary service. He really is a credit to the restaurant. (his name slips my memory but he was a slightly older a gentleman that told us he half an hour journey into the hotel each day) Fish Restaurant During our stay there was a special offer reducing the price from €30 to €15 per person, which seemed good value at the time of booking. The food was good, although we personally would not have booked a second visit, even at the reduced price. Service from the older waiter was excellent and very attentive. A younger waiter was pleasant enough but noticeably slower when responding to a simple request for information. One unusual feature was the resident bird flying around inside the restaurant. Despite the windows being closed, we were told it had nested there and regularly flew around near ceiling height during service. It was certainly something we had never experienced before! Thankfully, it did not affect the meal. One small disappointment with both à la carte restaurants was that they clearly state smart dress, with long trousers required for gentlemen. However, this was not enforced, and we saw several guests wearing shorts, including some that were not tailored and very casual beach style. There are clear signs at the entrance showing the expected dress code, so this could be better managed. Entertainment The evening entertainment was varied and of a particularly high standard. ***Two main production shows were outstanding, especially the motorbike globe act and the trampoline gymnasts. The quality of the performances was genuinely impressive. One hidden gem is the pier area in the evening. We only discovered it by chance, yet it became one of our favourite places in the resort. It has a full bar service and live music on most evenings, with bands performing until around midnight. We were surprised that the pier entertainment was not better advertised. Apart from one show, we struggled to find information about the bands and groups performing there, and the hotel app did not provide much detail. This means many guests may be missing out on a fantastic venue. Service Service throughout every area of the resort was consistently excellent. Whether in the lobby, restaurants, bars or around the beach, staff were always friendly, attentive and In the lobby, we were frequently approached and asked if we would like drinks rather than having to seek service ourselves. Ice creams were also offered to us on the beach during the afternoon, which was another nice touch. Wi-Fi Excellent throughout the entire resort, including the beach. Hotel App This is probably the area with the greatest room for improvement. Compared with other hotel apps we have used, it was not particularly informative and often lacked up-to-date information. It would be useful if guests could: * Book à la carte restaurants directly through the app. * View the daily entertainment programme more easily. * Find information about venues such as the pier entertainment. Restaurant menus are accessed via QR codes rather than printed menus, which worked well enough but it would have been nice to have a hand held leaflet of the menu although they were available on request. Children’s Fairground A nice venue at the resort, with bumper cars and several rides. However, one of the Spider-style rides was still out of operation. We understand it was not working around 18 months ago either, so hopefully this will eventually be repaired. Suggestions The hotel has plenty of open areas around the pool and beach. Adding a couple of covered pool tables would provide another activity for guests during the day and evening. Overall This is a hotel that gets the important things right. Excellent food. Branded drinks. Outstanding entertainment. Fantastic staff. Any small issues we experienced were dealt with quickly and professionally, which says a great deal about the management team. Would we return? Absolutely. This was our second visit, and it confirmed that we made the right choice. We had a wonderful holiday and would happily recommend this resort to anyone looking for a high-quality all-inclusive experience. Outside the hotel there are a few little shops which are quite bit more expensive than the shops 1k further to the left as you exit the entrance of the hotel along a wide path. In the opposite direction that is very little and you are mainly on the side of the road.
