We have just had a brilliant twelve days at the Barut GOIA as a family of 4 (2 boys aged 7 & 9). The staff and brilliant food and drinks are what really make this hotel. And that is is just outside Side. Side itself is very busy and the hotels are all on top of each other. This has its own space so we were glad to be out of town but still able to walk in. The reception staff are always very happy to help and the bar staff were very good. The buffet food was very good with delicious salads. Only thing was the 9pm close felt a bit rushed as we like to eat later and it was so busy at 8pm. The beach restaurant and Olea kitchen was also very good - which we visited 3 times during our stay in the evenings. The staff here were very attentive at filling our wine- asking what we would like etc. We only went to the Fele restaurant once and found the opposite where I had to ask a couple of times for drinks and if we could order (may have just been a bad day). But still good food. There’s also a waffle bar which is so good but one waffle if enough to share! My favourite bar was the sunset bar, which was beautiful at sunset and the cocktails were amazing. There was one lady with short red/purple hair that made the best pornstar martinis! The grounds are well maintained. We much preferred the quieter pool, when we first arrived (1st day of school hols) we could get a sunbed at 10.30am but it soon got busier and I felt too many people were reserving sunbeds they wasn’t using, which says not allowed. We preferred the beach which was quieter with loads of spare (less than a quarter being used). The other pool was too loud for us personally, except we went over for the pool party on Friday, which was fun. The beach was nice and the buses were very regular. It was only a 15 minute walk to Side town along the beach to the right (1.2k) which is a lovely walk in the evening. We went around 6.30pm. It was just a shame about the amount of rubbish and litter dropped along the beach closer to side, spoilt it. (Don’t expect white sandy beach) There are plenty of activities for the kids to get involved with if they like. We didn’t use the kids club (as their ages meant they would be spilt up) but our boys joined in with football and darts and enjoyed the free table tennis in the downstairs area. You can also pay extra for arcades, pool and padel which we enjoyed. They also liked the water slides. We found the hotel excursions more expensive than get your guide so booked jeep ride and white water rafting through that which we really enjoyed the white water rafting (for 7+ years). Overall a great hotel, only slight downsides for me were - I tried the gym and it was boiling , the aircon didn’t seem the be working well, lots of other people were using it , but I found it too hot. The hotel room was cool but not freezing. There is a duvet which made me too hot so I took it out and just used the sheet. The evening entertainment was good but there was, in my opinion not enough seating for the size of the hotel. And we could never get a seat. The Micheal Jackson show and kids circus were very good, other than that we didn’t watch a full show through as felt they were quite samey with dancers etc. I do agree with another comment on here that the shows were for the Dads, I’m not quite sure why the women dancers had to wear such little clothing and the men did! We had a great time and if there wasn’t a whole world to explore, we would return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We have just returned from our second visit to Barut Goia and it didn't disappoint. The food in the buffet restaurant was great and in both a la carte restaurants too. Great choice and high quality. There were plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available until mid morning most days. The only day it was really busy at the pool was on a Friday when they have the foam party in the afternoon. Our children loved the mocktails and the waffles by the pool. Our younger children (aged 8 & 9) really enjoyed the pizza making at the kids club. The only potential improvement to the children's activities would be to split to football matches into different time slots. My 9 year old played with much older teenagers some days and it wasn't ideal for him or them. Some hotels we have stayed at have split it to under 12s and over 12s and this worked well. The entertainment team were fantastic, especially Cehan (Shake Shake Man). He creates a brilliant atmosphere from wishing everyone good morning right through the day and the evening shows. He always has a smile on his face and is such an asset to the hotel. The evening shows were great, in particular the Michael Jackson show which was spectacular! The rooms and pool side were clean and there were always plenty of clean beach towels available from the spa. The staff in this hotel are fantastic and they really make your holiday special. The staff in the spa are so friendly and helpful, all the waiting staff and bar staff are attentive and go out of their way to remember the guests' favourite drinks. The staff work so hard and are always polite and friendly. The few minor issues we had during our stay were quickly resolved by guest relations. Most of the other guests were lovely families, and our children made some great holiday friends. Special mentions to Merve and Goktuk in the buffet restaurant. Yunis in Fely restaurant. Begy and Yasmin in kids club. Latif, Nisa, Okan, Ibrahim & Senora at the bar. The porters who helped with luggage, the waitresses in the coffee bar and Fatma on the waffle stand. All of the staff were amazing but these staff members really went above and beyond and made our holiday so special. Esma & Mr Bean in the hairdressers are excellent and so friendly. My daughter can't wait to go back next year to have more hair braids from Esma. My husband said that the haircut he got from Mr Bean was the best he has ever had. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again.
