Barut Goia

We had an amazing time at Barut Goia for the whole of our 14 days stay. The food was absolutely lush, everything was made to perfection, very fresh, different choice every night and made to look I credible with watermelon carving and etc. Big shout out for the kitchen sheff and stuff! The stuff was brilliant. Nothing was ever to much of a bother for this guys. I would have my drink already served at the table before I have even taken my seat. Thank you very much Pinar, Dilan ( not sure of spelling ) and Özcan ( also not sure of spelling 😅 ). Great choice of cocktails and high quality spirits unlike other hotels we have been where they serve Turkish own brands which taste like pain striper. The animation team was very friendly and the kid's shows were lovely. Our 3 years old absolutely lived for the mini disco and fell in love with the girls ( Beci and Yasmin thanks a million!!! ). The adult entertainment was also very good. Loved the themed parties by the pool ( Avatar, The love party and Water Ballet to name a few ). A bit of a draw back is the kids swimming area - there isn't really much aside from the little slide in the middle but because it is a family friendly hotel there were plenty of other children, so our little one was always entertained. Also, the kid's pool area is well shaded which is an absolute must in the heat. The DJ could use a bit of variety of sounds because there is so much of Makarena you can hear for 2 weeks. Overall, great experience and it will be very difficult to find a hotel to top up this amazing experience. Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday! ❤️

Just returned from this incredible hotel. We had an amazing time. The best feature is the staff who have been so well trained. We have never had so many members of staff say goodbye to us at any hotel. It was good to see the General manager all over the hotel. It has the makings of a truly excellent hotel. The only thing which let's It down is that the buffet food at lunch and dinner is at best lukewarm. Please, please put this right because the hotel is wonderful apart from that. The rooms are fabulous .we only came home yesterday but miss it already and can't wait to go back. Thank you everyone at Barut Goia Annette and Paul xx

We arrived very late at the hotel and were greeted by lovely staff, a night buffet and great rooms, next door to each other just as we had asked beforehand. The images don’t do it justice the hotel rooms are super clean and spacious and feel beautiful and modern. The whole hotel is beautiful and very clean with lots of facilities - we used the gym, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pool, sauna and steam room. It’s also super child friendly and has a very relaxed vibe. Lots of play areas for children and interesting points for children of all ages. The food is very fresh and locally sourced (including seasonal fruits grown at the hotel) and everything tastes amazing. We loved the food at the main resteraunt as there were always lots of choices and healthy options and it was great when eating with a small child. The entertainment area is well sound proofed and the evening shows don’t end too late so it’s easy to get a good night’s sleep, provided neighbours are not too noisy. All the staff are super friendly and helpful and a special thank you to Merve who was so helpful and lovely at all our meal times. The beach is a 5 min shuttle bus away and very accessible via the hotel with a bar and food available there too. There’s not much to fault it, the only slightly weird thing was that they gave us separate single bed duvets on a double bed which was odd! Robes would also be helpful in bedrooms. But that was only a small niggle and we are already looking at when we can go back as it was such a wonderful place for our daughter to enjoy and for us to relax also. This was our first holiday to Turkey and we enjoyed every minute. The hotel is very modern and well maintained. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. I would particularly commend Fatma in the buffet restaurant, she was absolutely brilliant. The food in the buffet restaurant was varied and the chefs constantly replenished dishes. We visited the A la carte restaurant twice and it was excellent. We had entrecote steak both visits and it was great. There is a patisserie near to reception and there was an attractive choice of freshly baked cakes. There have been several comments on Tripadvisor stating the swimming pool was not heated. This is incorrect. I went in the pool and it was definitely heated. My grandchildren aged 11 & 15 spent hours in the pool and they loved it. The hotel is situated a 30 minute walk to Side and it is well worth a visit. Side is full of character, lots of Roman ruins and restaurants. You can either walk up the beach or walk along the road to the old town.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Room was clean and a good size. Food was always labelled which helped with my fish allergy. Entertainment and facilities were super, I loved the Turkish steam room and sauna. Reception and concierge were very insightful with local knowledge. Special mention for Yasim, Maria and Lisa who helped me get organised for my anniversary. Many thanks
