Barut Hemera

I’m currently staying at Barut Hamera in Side, Antalya, and unfortunately, my experience so far hasn’t matched the 5-star rating the hotel advertises. On my first night, the room was uncomfortably warm, making it difficult to sleep. I raised this with reception, and to their credit, they adjusted the temperature for the second and third nights, which made things much more comfortable. However, yesterday the hotel switched back to a central air conditioning system, and since then, the room has become too warm again. When I contacted reception, I was told they could not lower the temperature because other guests were finding it too cold. While I understand balancing guest preferences can be challenging, it’s disappointing that individual room control isn’t available in a hotel of this standard. The bed is also not the most comfortable, which has further affected the quality of sleep during my stay. On a positive note, the food has been good with plenty of choices available, which is one of the highlights of the hotel. Overall, while some staff have been helpful, the lack of consistent climate control and overall comfort in the room has significantly impacted my stay. For a hotel claiming to be 5-star, I would expect better flexibility and guest-focused solutions.

There are hotels that are nice – and there are places you truly remember. Barut Hemera is definitely one of those. Everything is well organized and works like one living organism. But what makes the biggest difference is the people. The staff is incredibly hardworking, friendly, and attentive. You can feel that they truly care about the guests. The food is excellent, fresh, and varied. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. We also had a great experience during activities like archery and air rifle shooting, guided by an instructor named Dari. She is kind, warm, funny, and very natural. She creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you simply feel good. It’s small things like this that make a place unforgettable. I leave this hotel with gratitude and very good memories. Highly recommended! Special thanks to the team – you really make this place unique.

This is how a hotel should be run, excellent choice of good quality food and drinks. Staff amazing and can’t do enough for you a real credit to the hotel. Look forward to trying more Barut hotels

The hotel is truly excellent, it's well managed and impeccably maintained. The gardens are beautiful. Everything about the place is understated quality. The staff are its biggest asset, they are all professional, efficient, helpful and friendly without being overbearing. Nothing is too much trouble. The evening waitresses in the lobby bar are a phenomenal team, I've never seen anyone move that quickly before yet still remembering your favourite drinks. The choice of food is exceptional, you will always find something good for everyone. The animation team are great Irena and Deela (apologies for the spelling) were outstanding, both were very helpful and friendly. The only downside is the spring season entertainment which is live music outside by the pool. You have to tolerate being smoked out by the fire pits, and deafened by the poorly set up sound system. The acts themselves are quite good but let down with feedback etc. This was our 14th visit and hoping to be back next year to meet up with old friends and acquaintances. You feel as though you're surrounded by an extended family. It really is like an old pair of slippers, comfortable and priceless.

A good 'proper' 5* hotel. All staff can be commended on their excellent service. A magnificent choice of drinks and several dining options make this hotel stand out from the rest. I'm not sure if the fire pits and heaters quite work for me in the evenings at the pool bar...but it was different! The only slight negative was the Lobby bar hot drinks machine. It wasn't hot! Slightly warm at a push. In fact the bar man spent several minutes stirring a hot chocolate as it struggled to dissolve because it wasn't hot enough. Luckily, I had a beer, which was spot on!
