Barut Hemera

Just got back from a week at Barut Hemera. 2 families with young kids. Very multi national, lots of different nationalities staying. Lovely lovely hotel. Lovely helpful staff, can’t do enough for you. Rooms clean and tidy. Facilities excellent. You can order drinks via a QR code poolside and have them delivered to you , not between 12pm-3pm though. WiFi is a bit sketchy throughout the day, not a big deal though. All the drinks are top branded labels too. Killer darts is a good activity to do each day at 11am and 4pm If you need to change currency you can’t do onsite, there’s a western union across from the hotel however. A taxi into the old town SIDE is about 10 euros. Euros are pretty much accepted Everyhere. Overall great time and highly recommend for couples and families.

Our stay at Barut Hemera has been truly unforgettable. First and foremost, my deepest thanks go to the Operations Manager, Mr Burcin Karademir. His exceptional leadership is reflected in every detail of the hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and it is clear that he has built a team that delivers outstanding hospitality with professionalism, warmth and pride. My heartfelt appreciation also goes to Ms Nurchihan from Guest Relations, Rabia Horiz, Ümit Karakoç, Mustafa Kalkan, Ms Gizem, Ms Gaye, Mr Enes from the skating team, Ms Dila and Ms Darina from the Entertainment Team, Mr Ali and his fiancée at the Pool Bar, Hassan, the entire Indoor Café team, and all the bar, restaurant, housekeeping, gardening and maintenance staff. Every one of them contributed to making our holiday so memorable. One person deserves special recognition: the lovely lady at the towel station. Despite suffering a serious foot injury, she greeted us with a smile and happily showed us the way to the lobby. We only realised afterwards how much pain she was in. We offered her a tip as a small gesture of appreciation, but she kindly refused. Her dedication perfectly represents the spirit of Barut Hemera. No hotel is completely free of minor issues, but they become insignificant when compared with the outstanding service, genuine care and positive attitude shown by every member of the team. It is obvious that this level of excellence comes from exceptional management and a workplace where people enjoy what they do. Thank you, Mr Burcin Karademir, and thank you to the entire Barut Hemera family for giving us one of the most memorable holidays we have ever experienced. We look forward to returning and wholeheartedly recommend Barut Hemera to anyone seeking exceptional hospitality.

Just got home from a 10 night stay ... had a totally relaxing and amazing time, spent most of the days at the adults only pool ,totally relaxing plenty of comfy sunbeds the young lad who served drinks around the pool totally made our holiday looked after us every day checking if we needed drinks and kept the pool area tidy . Food was very good we just ate in the main restaurant for breakfast and evening meal always plenty of choice to eat , lunch we went to the snack bar again the staff we excellent. In fact every member of the hotel was 1st class from cleaners , gardeners, restaurant , bar staff , reception , pool attentants always got a hello , morning from staff we passed . My partner had a shave in the hairdressers 3 times he said it was very relaxed. The little touches made it special..branded drinks, beach bag / towels and water bottle on arrival, walls ice creams . We visited this hotel 20 years ago and decided to try again and we both had said we have found ouf happy place 😀 It was my birthday when we was there and came back to a bottle of sparkling wine and fruit in the room , was invited to the alacarte restaurant but cancelled it as we was happy to eat in the main restaurant See you next year x

If I could forget our first 3 nights my review would have been an easy 5. The issue: we booked a family room via jet2. We arrived to a family room which did not reflect the advertised rooms. (No dressing table, chair, mirror or armchair and one less wardrobe). Complained to the rep and reception and was told I should have booked 2 rooms. After 3 nights I was contacted (possibly as a result of a social media post..) and offered to look at an alternative family room. It was exactly what we had expected and paid for. We moved and the rest of the holiday was fabulous. We spent most of our time at the beach as we found it more relaxing. The sun lounger service was excellent throughout. Loved having the water stations. We used the water sports company on the beach for paragliding(additional cost). The beach bar was great, we would use it for lunch most days along with the burger bar. The grounds are beautiful and there is so much care and attention to detail. We ditched the teenagers one afternoon and went to the adult pool. Very relaxing and chilled. We ate in Olive which was lovely, Sofra which was absolutely delicious, Akdeniz which was very good and finally Mizuhi sushi which was outstanding. All of the à la cartes were great, good food, great service and each time we felt it had gone up a level. The buffet was good, was difficult to tell if there was a theme, service was very friendly and whilst it was very busy you would always be looked after. We used Meltum, the pool bar mainly at night. Service mainly great unless you arrive later. Entertainment mixed but we enjoyed most of it. My daughter used the hairdressers for a blow dry on the last day and we would recommend doing this especially if you have thick hair. There’s not a huge amount for teens, our almost 16 year old would join in the over 16 volleyball most days and enjoyed that. They also played tennis and table tennis. A mention for our cleaner who had to navigate a teen who slept most of the day. She was friendly and did a good job albeit little things like topping up handwash would need prompting. Outside the hotel we walked into Side old town, there is a lot of restoration work happening just now but the sunset from the harbour is worth the walk. So in summary, a great hotel, a very responsive manager, disappointing reception staff, excellent service and food in the restaurants and bars. Lush grounds.

Went for 10 nights, 2 adults and 2 children (under 10). Staff are very attentive. The buffet was excellent with so much choice, though some more vegan options would have been a bonus. The pools are great and my children loved the water slides. The staff at kids club were amazing!! Each day my youngest would attend and do the hand crafts in the morning, which she loved. I was very impressed that after just one session, the staff remembered her name the next time she attended, plus they already had observed her likes / dislikes. They offer a great variety of activities during the day and the facilities include soft play, a park, toy room, chill out spaces and table / chairs and trampolines. They also made cookies and did pottery on a turn table whilst we were there, plus there was lots more options which they could have done. Mini disco in the evening was fun, and my children both enjoyed learning dance routines and performing on the stage. The entertainment was great and varied. One night there was a live band (wish I knew their name - I don’t think they were advertised as performing), and the lead singer was amazing, and we all got up and danced. One downside was the noise in the rooms. The design of the building means that where my children slept, they were constantly disturbed by all the noise from the corridors and upstairs/downstairs, as that part of the room juts forward. However overall a great holiday, and a lovely hotel.
