This was our first time visiting Belek as we have been to Marmaris and Side previously. This did not disappoint and it was a lovely area at the hotel with shops and a bazar with clothes etc just a 5 minute walk away. We are super fussy when it comes to picking a holiday, so it took us ages to finally pick one, and we are so glad we picked Belek Beach resort. The hotel is immense! Hotel is super clean. Minibar was restocked daily, beds are super comfy and the housekeeping go above and beyond. They made a little love heart and put my daughters teddy's in them and my daughter was chuffed to bits. (See photo below). Lifts can be a slight pain at times but ive had alot worse elsewhere. Food - We are pretty fussy when it comes to food but we really enjoyed the food. There was a wide range of food available, with maybe a quarter to my taste. The food that I had was really good, and definitely the best all inclusive food I've ever had. Fresh Crepes, pancakes and waffles etc was amazing for breakfast. Nutella and different homemade jams were also top notch. I actually ended up with a mixed grill some mornings with grilled chicken, sucek, sausages, beans and chips etc. That was also immense! Lunch was spent most days at the burger place and these are absolutely incredible burgers! I would happily pay £10 for a burger of that standard ar home (Scotland) We did also go to the outside snack bar at the beach for food for fresh pizza and donor meat etc. This was also incredible! Evening meal was a mix most nights. I think they must have set theme nights like Mexican, Chinese, fish but i never saw it advertised. Some of these dishes were also great. As I said, everything i ate, I really enjoyed! My daughter ended up eating chips and spaghetti most nights and KFC style chicken. That was on most nights. Pool and water slides - Pool was a nice temperature and so refreshing. We had so much fun on the water slides and the life guards are all great and helpful. Not much of a queue for the slides either was great. Kids splashpark/watermark was great too! We also NEVER struggled for 3 sunbeds next to each other any morning and we went down late about 10.30am most mornings. This was great, as usually its mayhem trying to find sunbeds at different resorts. The pool bar - these lads deserve a mention on there own as they are great. They get to know you and what drink you want and nothing is ever a hassle for them. Everything always served with a smile. They were always quick at serving so you hardly ever wait long for a drink. The drinks and cocktails are also the best ive ever had at an all inclusive resort. There is also a lad that goes about on roller skates and brings your drinks over to your sunbed. Class! Entertainment - my daughter loved the mini disco (which we attended every night) and the random shows at the amphitheatre. The circus group and dancers were really good, as was the magic show. There wqs also bouncy castles etc on most nights too which was no extra cost which was magic! The entertainment was also great for the adults, big partys at night in the garden, michael jackson show etc. I also watched the World cup final on the projector in the garden. What a night that was with everyone in great spirits, mixed together from all over the world. We had an incident where my daughter went to pet a (stray) cat at the Beach and it scratched her, resulting in a trip to the hospital for rabies jabs. I cannot thank the women at guest relations enough for not only sorting out the taxi to the hospital, but asking the taxi driver to syay with us and translate for us at the hospital which he did. Without them and the taxi driver, I would have severely struggled dealing with this, so the taxi man ended up with a well deserved big tip for his troubles. The reviews speak for themselves. I honestly cant understand some of the negative reviews as we couldn't fault it one bit. We will most certainly be back and we cant wait! See you soon. The Sims
Very good service, hotel excellent. Bar staff at the piano bar very friendly and helpful
Thinking of going, those that have been please tell me what is the food like…
I would not recommend this hotel. The food quality was disappointing. There was very little variety, and many dishes seemed repetitive and not fresh. Unfortunately, during our stay, my brother, my fiancée, and I all suffered from severe food poisoning. We ate exclusively at the hotel throughout our vacation, so it is extremely unlikely that we became ill anywhere else. The room also had several issues. The air conditioning was unreliable and did not cool the room properly. On top of that, there was a constant sewage smell coming from the bathroom, making the room unpleasant to stay in. The beach was another major disappointment. It is covered with large stones, making it uncomfortable to walk on. Even worse, the water becomes very deep just a short distance from the shore, which can be dangerous, especially for children or people who are not confident swimmers. Another thing we noticed was that Russian guests were clearly favored. The hotel was full of Russian tourists, and almost everyone spoke Russian. Staff members seemed to prioritize Russian guests and treated them noticeably better than others. Finally, the constant harassment from people selling massages, spa treatments, excursions, and other services was extremely annoying. They approached us repeatedly every single day, even after we had already said no. It made it difficult to relax and enjoy the holiday. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had. Between the poor food, food poisoning, room problems, uncomfortable beach, and the way non-Russian guests were treated, we would definitely not return.
Whilst there are a lot of good thing things to say about this hotel there is also a lot of negatives. Firstly I'm disabled my partner is my carer and I had my daughter whose birthday holiday this was and her boyfriend. We had a disabled room on the elite 13+ side of the hotel. The room was clean and tidy when we arrived, it had a fridge with 1 Coke, 1 Coke Zero 1 Fanta 1 Ice tea 1 beer and the worst crackers I've ever eaten. There was a kettle with packet tea and coffee. Plenty of space for my wheelchair and a small balcony with a table and chairs. Now to the bathroom. Great toilet with handles either size and was higher than a normal toilet. Shower was a walk in shower, with pull down seat which I couldn't use because you pull the leg down and the leg would just collapse with the seat which there was nothing that could be done about, which was my choosing as didn't want to speak to guest relations as not many spoke English enough for me to try to explain and it was the design of the chair which I didn't want to risk collapsing. So had to shower in my wheelchair ever night. Which meant going out with a wet bum in the evening. Unfortunately that wasn't the only issue we had. We went for our one al carte meal, which for 2 weeks is a bit stingy, especially when it's not made very clear that was the case. Especially for the price of the holiday. Well we choose the Mexican restaurant thinking you can't really go wrong. And unfortunately my daughter was given raw chicken in her wrap which put us off and made us keep checking that things were cooked. Portions were very small, I had the beef fajita only to be given one small wrap as a main. You were not offered any sides and the rest had a very small beef burrito which was lacking beef only rice,on its own. There is 2 buffet restaurants one on the elite side which wasn't very big but was quiet. The main restaurant was extremely busy and most evenings struggled to get a seat inside or out. It was a lot of same food every night with Saturday being the only day that was different. And if you went past 8oclock a lot of the food was not replenish on some dishes and deserts. The staff in the main restaurant were very rude. But elite staff were fantastic. The pool bar staff on the elite side were amazing especially the lady with the ponytail and hat (can't remember her name). I tried the hoist in the main pool but it was the entertainment pool in the afternoon so couldn't really move about. But I didn't ask if they could take to the elite side as the pool was a lot quiet and they did. Which was brilliant and couldn't fault the staff there. My daughter and her boyfriend went to try the indoor pool for me as it had a hoist in there but were put off and immediately came out as the pool was disgustingly filthy. We did have some really lovely days and for the most part enjoyed the holiday. BUT for the money you are paying which was £2500 a person or £10k for all of us, I would have expected more. Entertainment was ok, but need to stop letting people in when the show starts, as someone who has to sit at the front it was extremely annoying and must put the dancers off and be dangerous. The cleaners in the rooms would make the beds and sweep but didn't seem to do much else. my daughter used a cup and was put back dirty to be reused. Other than that it was a lovely holiday but not great.
