We are currently staying at this hotel as a family of five – two adults and three children, all of whom have additional needs. The first week of our holiday was lovely, but the second week has been one of the most upsetting experiences we’ve ever had on holiday. Our children have been repeatedly singled out by the lifeguards for behaviour that many other children around the pool have also been doing, such as jumping into the pool and accidentally splashing people sitting nearby. Despite witnessing other families doing exactly the same thing, only our children have been approached and reprimanded. The most distressing incident involved a lifeguard shouting aggressively in my 11-year-old daughter’s face, leaving her extremely upset. We were then confronted by staff using Google Translate, repeatedly pushing a phone in our faces while arguing with us at the poolside. Guest Relations and security were called, which publicly humiliated our family in front of other guests. Since then, my 16-year-old son has been followed around the hotel by undercover security after they accused him of drinking alcohol. They have provided no evidence to support this allegation, yet he continues to feel as though he is being watched wherever he goes. This has left him feeling uncomfortable and distressed. We have also been issued with a final warning, despite feeling that we have been unfairly targeted throughout our stay. Jet2 promotes holidays that cater for families with children who have additional needs, but this has been the complete opposite of our experience. Rather than feeling welcomed or supported, we have felt intimidated, singled out and bullied. We still have three days of our holiday remaining, yet instead of relaxing, we are constantly anxious and feel like we are walking on eggshells. We came here to make happy family memories after spending nearly £8,000 on this holiday. Instead, our children are frightened to use the pool, and our family has been left feeling stressed and upset. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel to families with children who have additional needs or to families whose children simply want to enjoy themselves responsibly in the pool. Our experience has been deeply disappointing and has completely overshadowed what should have been a memorable family holiday.
Came here with family for a week. Great experience and super friendly staff, rooms were clean and everyone was so helpful. The only issue i had personally was the food, not that it was bad but it's incredibly busy and can be exhausting running around trying to get a plate apart from that it was a wonderful experience and i would definitely come again. Summer Gang was great, especially Koray.
We have had a lovely holiday. Food was good with a different theme each evening. Allergies were noted on most foods. My son has servere allergies and could find food to eat. We did not ask for additional food for him- for example there were just dairy ice creams. Lots of entertainment. Would be better if teenagers could join in with pool games. They enjoyed the slides but could do with more organised activities or free pool etc. We enjoyed playing darts and joining in with stretches/yoga.
This is not 5 star hotel and it is not ultra all inclusive. The 5 free cocktails are mixed in advance, that's disgusting. If you want a real cocktail you have to pay. The hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable. The main restaurant it is good too, but that's all. That was our first and last time in Eftalia Blue.
We came here as a family of 4 and had a great time. The food is delicious, the hotel is immaculate, always clean and everything always constantly topped up. The guys working round the pool will find you sunbeds so you don’t have to worry about never getting one. Any down sides are… the drink selection is very basic no cocktails or slushies which is a downside and ice creams only between 2-4. The entertainment in the hotel in the evening is hit and miss but if your don’t like it the live music down on the island is great! We would consider coming back! Just shame how far it is from the airport
