Grand Park Lara

I got home last Tuesday after an amazing 10 days there with my partner. I have just read other reviews from people that were there at the same as me and i am absolutely baffled. I never had to queue for fried eggs, restaurant always clean and always fresh cutlery on tables.. Always got a sun lounger at any time of day… There was constant cleaners all over the place all the time… And as for people playing football in their rooms in the middle of the night… It was the world cup games!!! Anyway we go on abroad 3 times a year and I can honestly that this holiday topped them all!! We have already booked to go back in October because we enjoyed it that much. We barely spent any money because we didn’t need to leave the grounds, didn’t even go up for a siesta in the afternoon because there was always something to do… when it says All Inclusive, it really is ALL INCLUSIVE!! We never had one bad meal and theres so many places to eat that we argued between ourselves over which one to go to because they all did different things… All of the staff were brilliant, really happy and welcoming… The evening entertainment was fantastic, shows that I would happily pay to go and see… It was a really diverse hotel with all different languages and cultures and i never met one horrible guest… It was smiles all round and we are so excited to be going back in October..:

We went into this hotel with our eyes open having done our research and we had a fair idea what to expect, at the end of the day, it’s a budget hotel and you pay for what you get, so don’t be expecting much. What you won’t see advertised is it’s a near 3000 capacity complex the size of a village and it was full in our time there. I didnt rush into this review as it doesn’t help with the holiday anxiety but I hope in the end it helps some people. Food There is plenty of food available , and to be fair it is of reasonable quality but if you come during peak July /August you will be queuing and at EVERY meal time, most mornings I counted 15 people lined up for some fried eggs. Staff struggle to keep the tables clear and you have to go hunting for knifes and forks, I had to contemplate eating my dinner with a spoon one night. ‘Go to the tulip restaurant’ I kept reading but it was full most mornings and evenings and often you couldn’t get a seat in there either. Cleanliness I’ve read some comments about the hotel being spotless but it’s just not true , doesn’t appear to be enough cleaning staff throughout the hotel, been to similar hotels where you see them cleaning all the time but not this one. Ants Whatever you do don’t leave your balcony door open. Smoking Everyone smokes and you can’t avoid it my throat’s killing me. Cats Sat upstairs most nights to avoid the chaos in the main restaurant but even that was a struggle to get a seat,also, there were cats everywhere and even perched on the tables next to us. (Photo attached) Sun loungers July / August unless you are up before 7 forget about it you are on the grass. The bottom line is if you come here during peak season you will be queuing for everything. Beach Really nice and chilled out compared to the pool . We wanted a cheaper holiday this year and we got one but it’s family that make it and we had a good laugh people watching.

Do not go this hotel your room will be full on ANTS. I got moved to a new room because of this two days before end of my stay they were all over sideboards full on my toiletries bags where tv was based coming out of vents. I got a new room yes once having to pack again and unpack in new hotel room. This room was full too. I believe this was upon opening our suitcases and they had followed us to other room. Next room was full also went complained again told them I would like late check out for good will as last three days has been awful had staff in room spraying big spraying around they was everywhere daughter screaming I was told yes twice I can have this come down in morning to arrange both twines fobbed off. Told me I had to pay 90 pound English money for this even though are cases and room was absolutely crawling with ants. Tryed telling me they came from balcony so was ok. Sorry u should be able to have your balcony open. Maybe say in hotel deaceiption the extra 200 u pay for balcony don’t keep open or room will be full of little biting ants. Did nothing to solve this for me awful place

3rd visit, only downside would be the lack of English cuisine, or that the English breakfast is on a la carte.

Just got back from a 7 day holiday in grand park lara with my wife and 2 kids. We had an amazing time staying here! The staff are unbeleivable and are always hard working to keep the hotel flowing nicely and clean. There was plenty of entertainment and a nice beach area with food huts available on the beach. The only downside for me and my family was nothing against the hotel but some other guests. Whilst most were polite and freindly some were pushing and shoving in the food hall or the bars and water slides. And also that someone was throwing stuff off their balcony at kids and adults during a kids club show. These were mine and my familys down sides to the holiday. Thanks grand park lara for our holiday.
