Haydarpasha Palace

We’ve had a perfect family holiday at Haydarpasha palace, couldn’t ask for more from the hotel. It’s fun-filled around the pool - the bubble/bouncy pillow was a huge hit with my children (aged 9 and 13) - the water slides too. The entertainment was superb, really great shows - the team were amazing. Huge selection of food, different snack places - waffles and Gozleme made fresh on demand. Really lovely hotel - would highly recommend.

The Location it’s very good, I’ve been with my entire family ! The service it’s great, from food to hygiene!! During the night everything it’s silence in and out !! I liked that they served food late in the night, I was out in Alanya city and my kids came back hungry and I was a bit concerned that I won’t find any food to give them but on my surprise I find food for all of us in the Pastry area !! Also drinks during the night!! Thank you for HydarPasha for the service!!

Avoid this place like the plague!! 3 days in and my baby girl came down with horrendous sickness and diarrhoea bug made to pay £2000 for a iv drip despite having insurance. 2 days later my son came down with the same illness and got refused treatment unless we paid again. Staff weren’t very helpful at all. Booked an early flight home no offer from hotel to pay for taxi to airport despite all the troubles we’ve had there! We’ve travelled all over the world and never experienced problems like this. Other bad points- Food was pretty average compared to other all inclusive hotels we’ve stayed at in turkey. Barely warm and repetitive. Beach wasn’t very clean. Lots of rude people pushing in at the restaurant, bars and lifts. Didn’t see much cleaning going on around pool areas compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in. Good points- Some of the staff were lovely and really friendly. Plenty to do for younger kids. Entertainment around the pool was good. And cleaners and the guy who fills the fridges was always friendly. I’ve never wrote a bad review before and I’m absolutely gutted as we have spent a lot of money for this holiday. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all!!!!

Stayed at the Haydarpasha for 10 nights and was shocked at how this hotel can be 5 stars! On arrival, after a nearly 3-hour transfer from Antalya Airport, we were advised that the late buffet was open for food. There was only spaghetti and some Bolognese sauce, which was completely freezing cold and looked like it had been sitting there for hours. It was 2am, so we just presumed this was a one-off. How wrong we were! The food in this hotel is terrible! The breakfast buffet has undercooked eggs, omelettes that are cooked in 2 inches of oil and a poor choice of pastries. Nothing is warm apart from the chips. Lunch and dinner are a game of “Is the meat cooked?” Four times, we witnessed undercooked chicken and meat, which left us with stomach issues. I had read many other reviews warning about raw chicken being served, so I’m unsure why the hotel is not addressing this issue. The à la carte restaurants are really good, but you have to pay €15 per person. (This must be a surcharge for fully cooking your food!) The pool area sunbeds are packed so closely together that you feel like a can of sardines, and you are literally touching the arm of the person next to you. You are scared to leave your bed to go for lunch or go in the pool, as someone will take your umbrella or move your belongings. Guests are allowed to sit in the pool smoking and flicking ash and cigarette butts into the drains. The music around the pool is so loud that you need a megaphone to speak to anyone next to you. On checkout, we ended up in a heated debate with very rude reception staff and management, who were asking us to pay for the à la carte restaurants even though we had already paid. I showed them my bank statement showing the transactions. They finally admitted their error by simply walking away without an apology and saying, “Done.” Make sure you take cash, as your room won’t be fully cleaned and the minibar won’t get restocked if you don’t leave a tip each day. Please avoid this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to relax and enjoy nice food.

The hotel was excellent. The cleanliness of the rooms was outstanding. I would also like to mention Mr. Umut and the lady who worked in gymnastics and fitness in the entertainment section. They were both very friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and had a wonderful experience at this hotel.
