Great hotel in a location convenient enough to have access to local markets, tourist bazaars, transport links and the waters of the Mediterranean. Hotel fulfils 5* billing on every level. Staff are friendly and helpful, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Room was standard size, but well decorated, and clearly well-maintained, with reasonable lateral view of the sea from an enclosed, private, yet bright and airy balcony. Bathroom was well-stocked, as was mini-bar, being re-stocked with sodas, waters and beers daily. As a solo traveller, I found my accommodation to be extremely good value for money. The atmosphere was light and casual, with many facilities available such as Spa and Wellness centre, Hairdesser/Barber, lobby shops for last minute tourist (and Tommy Hilfiger!) needs, offering clothes, souvenirs, watches, jewellery, and chocolate bars. Many options for bar-hoppers, including an Irish bar, and options for those who prefer their service a little more bespoke. There’s also a patisserie, serving delicious snacks, and many beverages. Pool area is absolutely amazing, and I’d imagine that during warmer months, this area, and the water-slides will be packed solid. I chose an earlier, cooler month, so didn’t use the outdoor pool, which made the heated indoor pool, next to the gym (for those who cannot go a day without their CrossFit), a godsend. There are decent beach facilities, including the lunchtime beach buffet (again, unavailable only due to inclement weather) which serves a variety of foods, drinks and desserts. Meals (apart from à la carte options, bookable at reception) are buffet style in the large, comfortable dining room. Incredible assortment of food available at each sitting, from starters to desserts to suit all palates/persuasions. Food is presented extremely well and is as much a joy to look at as it is to eat. There’s even a soup buffet between 2300 and 0000, if you fancy an intimate canoodle with one of the many, well-tolerated restaurant cats. Cats are everywhere, incidentally, and the locals take pride in providing food, care and shelter for them. You’ll find cats in and around the local hotels and area, so if you’re not a fan, I’d reconsider your options. As expected, there are plenty of excursions to choose from, during your stay. I went on a mini coach trip to the Green Canyon, a beautiful area in the mountains, and took in mosques, waterfalls, a boat trip and more. DO only book your excursions through your own holiday rep though. A small word of warning, there are fake reps who operate in the area. I was handed an envelope at reception with my holiday details on, demanding a 10pm meeting with Bekir, who turned out to be an excursion hawker. Be aware of the local ‘tourist taxes’ though. Tourist area stores are expensive, and prices are often arbitrary, with no prices displayed, either on the shelves or the products themselves. If you’re not on the ball (which is difficult, when you’re trying to navigate the difference between Turkish Lira, GBP and Euros, all three of which are used in the area), you’ll be overcharged with a smile. I paid the equivalent of £16 for a small tube of toothpaste and a medium-quality toothbrush in a local pharmacy. I also found certain stores were not afraid to take advantage of the confusion with denominations, and I was shortchanged on a number of occasions. Local transport is amazing. You can book a taxi from the hotel (at a premium, naturally - TRY1000/£18) or at a nearby taxi rank (less premium, but still tourist pricesTRY850/£14), or you can jump on one one of the many dolmuş that serve the area. I travelled from my hotel in Side, to Nova Mall in Manavgat for TRY60, or £1.02. Overall, a fantastic stay in a well-appointed and maintained hotel. Be aware the hotel/area is a favourite with German holidaymakers, and staff will address you in German initially, but are happy to convert to English, when needed. I’m very much looking forward to my next stay already
Without doubt the best we have been to. The staff were amazing, so friendly and nothing too.much trounle. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are also clean and comfy. We arrived and were transfered here as the hotel we bookes was closed. The best move ever and I would thoroughly recommend. Will deffo book again amd bring the whole family. Thank you to all the staff who I cannot praise enough as amazing.
Overall experience was very good. Third visit to this hotel. Great value for money for the facilities and services provided. Spa staff could maybe less persuasive. This is a predominantly German tourist hotel .Will definitely be back again!!!
