Hotel Ramada Resort Lara

Originally we booked into Wyndham gardens but as we arrived we got upgraded to Ramada and a big family room for 3 of us. Bonus. Nice well kept hotel, rooms made up everyday. The first week was quiet and there was plenty of space around the pools. As we entered the 2nd week it was half term so I can confidently say it was at capacity. Get to the restaurant early as most tables are gone. WiFi deteriorated rapidly due to the amount of people on it. Food selection is very good. Lots of options. Here's a tip for those who complain about the food (and no reason to complain in my opinion) STOP PUTTING 6 MAIN MEAL OPTIONS ON YOUR PLATE AND HAVING 3 PLATES FULL. You will then realise there actually is a lot of options for everyday. 2nd week and beds where covered with towels from 6-7am, in all honesty, don't blame the people for doing it, blame the hotel for not managing it. There is a pool across the road 5 mins walk towards the beach Beautiful pool, beautiful scenery, fantastic entertainment team, lots of games for adults and kids. Massive credit to them. Little water park for the kids was amazing. Food on all day. Here's something for the hotel, please PLEASE ban smoking in the eating area. It's disgusting eating your food and having second hand smoke around my kids. PLEASE BAN IT. People are ignoring the fact it's illegal in the UK so they take advantage as they are in another country and just don't care about others. Like I said, the entertainment team at the bottom pool are amazing, but, there is no reason to have the music at deafening levels. If I have to shout to talk to somebody next to me then it's too loud. Sat here now with Turkish dance music blaring, nobody managing it, and I cannot even have a conversation without shouting. All in all, 2nd time here, great shopping (wink wink) great hotel, great food, great entertainment, great overall but could be so much more comfortable with very small adjustments.

Serkan and melih the 2 best guys I ever meet in a hotel in my life! They treat my family so well. I hope to to see these guys if I come back because they made my family’s holiday!!

Recently returned from another great stay at the Ramada. As usual,the food and cleanliness at hotel was outstanding. Did notice some cost cutting has gone on. Could be due to hotel not being full. Probably due to world wide events going on and nothing to do with hotel. Animation team was smaller in size than in previous years. Consequently, when one took a day off then the entertainment at the beach complex was affected. No darts and no pool games one day which was slightly annoying. Really nice to see some familiar faces of the animation team. Sophie,Mary and younis were brilliant as usual. They could not make you feel more welcome. Met many people again that we met last year. With so many people returning then the Ramada must be doing something right. Met some new amazing people. Darcy and nell helped to make our holiday. Spotted an ex eastenders actor there making full use of the well equipped gym(won’t mention name). Nightly entertainment consisted of karaoke and quizzes which we really enjoyed. Probably not everybody’s cup of tea. All in all great stay and already booked for next. See you soon Ramada

We wanted to visit Turkey, Antalya on a budget & this was the best suited hotel for us. This was a last minute booking, but we got a great price with Jet2 Holidays just by changing our days before the school holiday season. We arrived at the hotel at 11pm, check in was smooth & quick. Staff member explained everything clearly. They had a midnight small buffet option, with very limited food options but it was better than nothing, really grateful as we've not eaten, but would suggest nuggets/fries for kids options. 👍🏻 We noticed the walls are very thin, you can hear outside cars & people next door talking or shouting, as we had a family room with a balcony. Maybe we were placed in the wrong side of the hotel but after settling in 2 days with our luggage we didn't want to swap rooms. Breakfast had variety of eggs, breads & fruits. Everything was fully stocked up even though it was a late breakfast. Bottles of water accessible & you can take as many as you want. We prebooked al a carte for Mexican but the staff only suggested asian/italian, she wasn't very welcoming & accommodating to offer the Mexican for some strange reason..even though they had availability. The Mexican al a carte was a great restaurant with attentive staff. We had like a fine dine experience. Food was decent and made it to your spice tolerant. They really made it special for us, really appreciate the staff. (See images for food) Snack bar is pretty decent, had burgers, chips, nuggets, kebabs, chicken donner, rice, noodles & icecream 😍 If you didn't feel like having the main restaurant buffet food. I really enjoyed the chicken donner with the golzeme, highly recommend. (See images for ice-cream options) The bar is a great, with lots of fruit juices, mocktails, coffees & teas. We really enjoyed the virgin pino calado, strawberry mojito, hot chocolate & caramel lattes. 😋 Pool options, one for kids with slides and things, not very deep. An indoor pool & outdoor. All pools are cold which is odd, the indoor ones should've been heated. I noticed the pools with the big slides were closed off? It's in peak season.. it should've been opened. Dinner at the main restaurant was very repetitive, but for you flavour lovers, good luck finding the hidden gems. Most food is generic and flavourless but what can you expect from hotel/buffet food. There is lots of healthy & greasy food options. We even found an Indian curry one of the days, which was pretty good. There is some mexican options too. Beach had a shuttle service which takes you every 15 minutes which was a great touch. The beach isn't far but still it's nice to relax in a mini bus. The beach had lots of sun beds compared to the pools at the hotel. The sea is beautiful but cold. There is lots of water sports you can do. The food at the beach was good, they had fried chicken, which wasn't seasoned, chicken donner & pizza which were standard, can't forget the ice-cream too. 😋 We visited the sister hotel Windham Gardens, this was a nice touch. It was across the road, we went for lunch it was the same as the food in our hotel but was nice to sit in a different atmosphere. You can use their snack bars & pools. We wanted a book an excursion & bumped into a 'Sun Point' rep who offered us the lion zoo & boat trip for £35pp, which I think was a fair deal. The meal was very basic and no water offered after a long day. The rep mentioned it would take only 40mins to the destination but it was nearly over 1 & half hours there and back, which was dissappointing and exhausting. We wasn't prepared as many other families with children. Mini club was a great addition to both hotels, but the sister hotel has better facilities with like a small soft play. Both had good engaging staff. Sinem was kind, courteous & patient with the kids. They played games, made things & you can just run around. They have also have slides & swings at both hotels, highly recommend. Overall, this is a good stay for family first timers in Turkey which don't want to use taxis and have everything on the strip. I wouldn't say its 4* star hotel, as I've stayed at more lavish hotels. I'd probably say its more of a 3* hotel. Great for families with all the basic amenities. Food is okay and facilities are great. Staff very friendly and everyone from waiters & cleaners constantly working hard. I would recommend 👍🏻

Positives: Good location, plenty of food to choose from. Staff in the hair salon were amazing. I had brows done and a haircut. Would highly recommend. The pool at the beach was great and we went there most days. A mini bus will take you there. Mexican and Asian restaurants were fantastic. Negatives. The entertainment is really awful. You will definitely need to leave the hotel every night. Almost every night its either music quiz or kareoke!!! Do not visit the Italian restaurant. We were totally ripped off and made to pay £100 for 2 bottles of wine which were disgusting. We only found out after that we should of been offered free drinks. Complained to customer service and they didn't want to know.
