Hotel Ramada Resort Lara

*Lovely stay at Ramada Lara with a few observations* We arrived at Ramada Lara and were initially allocated a small room, similar to a Premier Inn / Travelodge. I emailed Guest Relations and the next day they moved us to a wonderful, spacious room which was much more fitting for a Ramada — we were very happy. Guest Relations were excellent throughout. > Food was good with an acceptable variety, especially the healthy evening grills. During the day there was always somewhere to eat and the beach cafes were very clean with good food and drinks. Towards the end of the week the main restaurant did become a bit repetitive. > > Sauna, steam and hammam were free which was great and we really enjoyed relaxing there. > A few points for improvement: >On check-in we were not given any information about facilities, eg that we could have lunch at the Wyndham or use their facilities — we only found out from other guests. Entertainment in the hotel was very boring, quiet / dry compared to other hotels we have stayed in. Needs a new team. The entertainment @ Wyndham evening was very cold as seating was outside. > > Staff were generally very friendly and eager to please, although some could smile a bit more! (Spa section!)We found massage prices inside the hotel very high — we went just around the corner and had a 1-hour medical massage and hydro facial both for £60 which was excellent. (Posted info) > > The hotel is not directly beachfront, you need a shuttle or a 10 min walk. Even after the shuttle drop there’s a longish walk to the sea. If you struggle with walking, this may not be for you. Pools were plentiful but water was cold.. > > Overall we had a wonderful week. We would love to see more Turkish culture, artefacts, music and entertainment in the hotel to feel more like we are in Turkey. A piano / singer in the large reception area would be lovely, and seating there is limited. > > We would return. Thank you to all.

The hotel is spotlessly clean there are staff all day making sure that the guest are happy The food is very good I am a fussy eater and I always had something to eat. Halime was our room cleaner and made an exceptional job

Located only 5min from the beach, shuttlebus every 15min is great, specially with small kids. 👍 The atmosphere is really kids friendly. Every staff member, even housekeeping, is alwys smiling, helpfull and nice to the kids. 👍 We had the family suite (2 adults and 3 kids), but the 5th sleeping was on the couch, which were NOT comfortable for either sitting or sleeping. So we had to put together 2 singlebeds and the 3 kids slept together on it (aged 5+6+11) - that worked fine for them. As an all inclusive and the high price we paid, i would expect a wider option of different food in the hotel buffet. We stayed for 8days and it was basically the same food every day. Housekeeping vacuums, make the beds and change towels everyday, which was great. But no cleaning the table etc - we had a coffee stain for 2 days before i myself wiped it off. The hotel staff alwyas keeps the lobby, restaurant, pool area etc tidy and clean.👍 As for the activities - there were different evening shows and activities for all ages at the hotel and the beach.👍 There's a club for the small kids during day hours - a fun place for the small ones with different plays. But it only last around 2 hrs in total. But the kids entertainment show starts at 9pm, which is too late for small kids. This was very frustrating. The kids pool is isolated and safe 👍 it has a gate which only opens by adults so the kids will not acces the deep pool 👍 We had our room facing the stage area, so the noice was very loud when the kids entertainment started at 9pm. But other than that the noice level is very low during the day. This is a good options gor families 👍 We came in July and October and we would diffinitely prefer July due to the rain in october.

This was awful. We arrived and were taken to our room Block 4. You go under the building to get in and it’s like entering a council block of flats. The room was ok, small, but bed area ok. However we had one sheet on the bed. No blankets or duvet in the wardrobe, like most hotels have in case you get cold. We had to go to reception and ask for bedding, which then did arrive, the bathroom is horrible. Lots of mould on the silicone, the stainless steel vanity unit looks like it’s never been cleaned. Towels are like bits of rag, forget fluffy warm towels when you exit the shower. Pools are freezing and unless you are up at 5am, yes even in October, there is no chance of a sunbed at the main pool. The beach pool is better as no one can be bothered to walk across so early, the hotel does not manage the sunbed situation despite signs saying it does. The main restaurant can only be described as diabolical, it looks nothing like the pictures on the website, old fashioned plastic laminated tables and chairs. No tablecloth’s. You get an old plastic placemat and a plastic dispenser with paper napkins. It’s like a cattle market. You have to find your own table, no one serves you drinks, you have to get your own. There is lots of food and it tastes ok but there are no food stations at breakfast, no one cooking a fresh egg or omelette. It’s absolute chaos in there with kids hurtling about. As such, dinner is over in about 20 minutes and your pleased to leave. There is absolutely no dress code for dinner, it is turn up in whatever you like. Really for several thousand pounds it was the holiday from hell and we would never wish to visit again.

Our first time to Turkey, in the form of a cheeky extra autumn sun break and what a great week it’s been ! 👍 The Hotel is a solid 4* option with many positives 1. The staff - everywhere so clean & they’re all friendly - great team whatever role they’re in. 2. The food - we visited two Ala Carts , The Turkish & The Italian , came away from both saying don’t see how a 5* venue could offer anything better both were superb. Other than that we are in the main dining restaurant the other nights and always found good quality options Breakfasts eggs, salmon, pastries, fruit etc - plentiful Lunches - beach restaurant & their Pizza bar, hotel Snack bar or go back into the main restaurant- so good mix it up options. Branded ice creams as well. 3 Drinks - Efes is the draft lager , to be fair it’s a pretty decent all inclusive beer. Made to order cocktails , including great Mohitos, loved the milkshakes & all the usual soft fizzy drinks available. Branded other options were Captain Morgan’s Rum and Gilbey’s Gin , other options Vodka etc all local bottles. 4 Gym - I used it , pretty decent equipment and enough there for decent workout , weights or aerobic. 5 Pools - at the Hotel it was challenging getting in , tad cold but once in it was refreshing ! The beach pool was warmer. Lots going on down there , darts, archery , big inflatable one afternoon in the pool. Waterslides are great for up to 13/14 yo , older than that most would want to be at a hotel with a bigger set up Beach loads of sunbeds , sea was warm, small pier with bar at the end , guests really enjoying jumping off the pier at the end into the water, ladder to climb back up. 6 Evening entertainment- tbh didn’t catch much of it, the Michael Jackson nite was well corographed by the dancing troop but they need to do a few more of his big hits that everybody knows 7 - Area , shuttle bus to the private beach & beach pool , show area and beach restaurant but we just strolled there, it’s flat maybe 600 meters Outside the hotel turn left or right both sides of the road many shopping options clothes, gifts , bags shoes and trainers etc designer stuff galore. Opposite is The Belfast sports bar , I caught the Liverpool v City match , out the hotel to the right two other big screen sports bars not far away to catch matches whilst wives shop ! 8. Overall as said a really solid 4* hotel / smaller resort the food quality exceeded our expectations , towels in the bathrooms though are very tired so guys they need upgrading sooner rather than later. Beach towels are softer ! We were able to get poolside beds around 9am with some left to reserve but they filled very quickly , many guests headed to the beach club.
