Hotel Side Star Elegance

We are just back from a week long stay at the Sidestar Elegance. we have had a fantastic experience in a lovely hotel where the facilities are excellent, the food is plentiful, varied and of very good quality both in the main restaurant and also the a la carte restaurants. we used the fish, Chinese and Italian during the week. What really sets this place apart from other hotels are the staff who are all very welcoming, friendly and always cheerful. A big thank you to all the staff that looked after us but a particular shout out is warranted for Vulko who looked after us at breakfast, Sabaat in the Time Out bar who is just a bundle of fun and energy and Roza who kept our room not only clean but beautifully cool. My only gripe and the reason for the 4 star review are the lifts, of which there are not enough; the ones there are are too small for a hotel of this size, but for the way the hotel is built into hill will be a necessity for some people. it is also difficult to understand the sequencing of up and down particularly when stood waiting for a lift that goes up past the floor you are on without stopping, then comes back down past that floor without stopping - quite maddening!

This hotel is average at best. I was so excited for this holiday after reading other reviews but I should of took the fact is catered towards Germans more seriously (nothing against the actual German guests) but I found a lot of language barriers, some staff couldn’t even understand me asking for a cola? The food was so hit and miss but if you like fish, rice and mincemeat you’ll be in for a treat. Breakfast was a massive let down aswell. The beginning of our holiday was great but as the days went on it got busier and busier. It’s all table service but some nights we waited 15 minutes with our food before someone even came to ask what drinks we wanted. The entertainment was repetitive and tedious, we enjoyed Dunden bar the most for its atmosphere but the singer there sang the same songs every night and some of them he didn’t know half the words? Room was actually lovely with robes and slippers. We had a deluxe terrace room and the cleaning was immaculate. The beach and water are amazing and so was the spa. However my biggest issue of it all was actually the lifts. It goes from floor 2 down to floor -4 and there is 2 lifts in the whole thing, sometimes you’d wait 10 minutes for a lift that wasn’t packed full. Luckily we had the ability to walk but if you need a wheelchair or have a pushchair ect then I feel bad for you.

We visited this hotel on the recommendation of our family who went last year and raved about how good it was, and they were not wrong ! Everything about this hotel, from the staff, cleanliness, decor, food, drinks and entertainment was first class. The a la carte restaurants are a must also !!! We had the best time and would def return, a big shout out to Ramadan who served us in the restaurant and entertainment bar, he was so friendly and always topping up our drinks with a smile :). The hotel is right on the beach also and a nice walk along the beach to Side old town which is gorgeous. 10/10 !! We would def recommend a visit. Karen & Gary

Been here 10 days so far, everything has been great. The animation team are great, so friendly and they really earn their money. The kids love them. We stayed in the duplex family room, fantastic

All round an excellent place to stay. The location is fantastic and only a 20-25 minute walk to Side old town which is beautiful. Side old town has many shops and places to eat, and a great place to pick up bargains. The facilities at the hotel are superb, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the choice of food available cannot be faulted. This has been our 1st trip to Turkey, and we are so glad we chose this hotel and location. 5-star!
