Hotel Side Star Elegance

We had a wonderful and relaxing massage! Tari and Karmini, the Indonesian therapists, were very skilled, professional, and friendly. The food was also delicious, and the service was excellent.

We just spent a two-week vacation in this magnificent spot. The hotel is excellent, especially given its location right by the sea and a sandy beach; it is a 30-minute walk from Side's historic center. The hotel features a great buffet restaurant and five à la carte restaurants, along with several pools and snack bars. The staff is incredibly attentive. By our standards, we would rate it as a 4-star hotel rather than a 5-star one; However, I give 5 stars to the entertainment team—they are very energetic and offer fantastic activities throughout the day and evening. I particularly enjoyed the "aqua beach" class in the sea; it was a new experience for me, and kudos to the team for that. We loved it and are sad to see our vacation come to an end.

We’re currently holidaying here. This is a great hotel. It is very clean and the food and drink in all the restaurants is excellent. We haven’t frequented used the buffet and the variety and quality of food is excellent. We’ve also done the Chinese and fish à la carte restaurants and they were amazing. Great service and food. Doing the Italian tonight. The staff are very good and the animation team, including Victoria, keep those who want to be involved busy, entertained and engaged. Importantly for us, they also don’t hassle you if you’d prefer not to be involved. We haven’t frequented the evening entertainment in the amphitheater so can’t comment on that but the bar has good evening entertainment, with a variety of singers/bands. There are also quiet bars if you just want to chill. We’ve spent most of our time at the beach which is clean and the water is lovely. It’s quite a busy beach but it’s also quiet and relaxing. No noisy groups/music etc. The only negative we’ve found is being asked for tips by two waiters. We regularly tip good service but don’t like being placed in the position of being asked. On one occasion we weee going to tip anyway but didn’t as we felt pressured. It was extremely awkward and not welcome. That said, the majority of staff are excellent and we’ve been happy to tip. All in all, a great hotel that we’d be happy to visit again.

This was our fourth time at this hotel and we can’t wait to come again. The hotel never fails to provide a wonderful experience for guests with excellent food, clean rooms, plenty of sun loungers, wonderful waiters and bar tenders and a great animation team. The singer in the Duden Bar on the Tuesday night, Tanju, was exceptional as well and well worth going to see.
