Currently here from the UK and this is simply not a 5 star hotel and should not be advertised as such. It's a decent 3 star hotel. It's no fault of the staff who are excellent and have addressed all the issues we raised but they can't transform the hotel into a 5 star. No one is on top of general cleanliness in the public areas; rubbish is left everywhere and even the next day the theatre remains full of empty cups and split drinks. The public toilets are often very dirty. The kids pool area is filthy and smells. The rooms are extremely dated but large. The mattresses are very hard especially for a side sleeper. The entertainment is very basic, there have been no shows on par with the other other hotels we have visited, even Butlins entertainment puts this place to shame. Food is good and one of the positives, service in the restaurant is also very good, as are guest relations and house keeping. There are just lots of things this hotel is missing to be a 5 star. Hardly any English speaking people unless you count the groups of golfers who do rave about the golf course, so I suspect the good reviews are from them. We have made the most of it but wouldn't return. There are lots of other hotels in the same price range like the AQI hotels which would have been 3 star and less in price. Cullinan, Pappillion, Barut or Akra where we have stayed before are much better options for luxury stays with amazing entertainment and pools.
Could not fault this hotel. Spacious clean room, food was varied and plentiful as was the drink selection. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Always spare sun beds around the pool which was a real bonus. I enjoyed the evening entertainment, however if you want to relax in a peaceful environment the Lounge bar in the hotel was the place to be. Thank you to Derya for her perfect cocktail making skills and thank you to Jasmine for serving them with a smile.

Outstanding hotel with first class service in every department
Stayed with my partner and 2 children from 01-08/06. I would firstly say I don’t think the hotel is what I would class as a 5*, more a low 4* - in my opinion. The grounds were well kept, clean & spacious. Plenty of areas for you to find a spot and relax! Seen a lot of people state rooms are “dated” - I’d tend to disagree and say it’s more of a case they are worn and in need of renovations (which I believe is upcoming). Our room for example had plenty of space but just little things like the bathroom door being warped due to there being no extractor fan and walls having marks/scuffs etc is not what you’d expect in a 5* hotel. Facilities were okay, the splash park had enough options for the kids to have a go of everything - it also felt relatively safe. We also enjoyed a day at the beach, but again little things like a couple of the loungers we used were broken and had slight snaps in the plastic - also the “arcade” and snooker/pool hall you had to pay additional but other hotels this is included in the A/I package! One thing we did find a bit ridiculous was that you get 1 a’la carte visit during your stay, we picked the Italian and literally realised whilst eating there that it is basically the same food that is served down in the main restaurant; so it felt like a completely pointless experience! Staff - 100% the bar staff at both the main pools, restaurant & kids splash park are the heartbeat of the hotel, along with the Fun Team who kept a positive and lively atmosphere up. The bar staff were so friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us, they were also so good with the kids - honestly big thanks to them! Reception staff I thought weren’t great, on the 2 occasions I had any dealings with them both times I was stood waiting and they weren’t doing anything but I had to basically say “can you help” rather than them asking “how can we help”. I would also mention the cleaners did a very basic job and a few times we noticed they re-made the beds, cleared any rubbish and provided new towels but hadn’t actually swept or cleaned the bathroom. I thought the entertainment was good and varied, there were different shows on each evening, so you could pick and choose! One thing the hotel can’t control but I did find frustrating, is the attitude/manners of other guests. Many guests were non-English speaking and they were extremely rude and quite arrogant - not only to me but to the hotel staff. You’d try to say hello/offer a smile and they would just ignore you, in the corridors I would make space for them to walk past - get blanked. At meal times they would just push in past you and load their plates - one evening they had shrimp (limited amount), people loading 15-20 at a time onto their plate - pure greed. Overall we had a lovely week and the kids enjoyed it - which is the main thing. We also probably got value for money based on the price we paid so I’m happy with the overall experience.
