I don’t usually leave negative reviews. I normally try to make the most of a situation, enjoy the holiday, and simply make a note not to return. But Kaya Palazzo Belek was probably the biggest gap I’ve experienced between what was advertised online like on Booking, the hotel’s own website, and through the travel agency, and what we actually found when we arrived. First of all, this resort seems to tick the boxes of a five-star hotel, but does a very poor job of actually maintaining that standard. The hotel is badly maintained. There are cracks everywhere, from floors to ceilings, and I don’t mean the kind of cosmetic wear you barely notice. Some genuinely made us question how well the property is being looked after, especially travelling with two small children. Cleanliness is maybe a 5/10, particularly around the restaurants, bars, pools and beach. There’s mold, stained sunbeds, food waste left around, dirty surfaces, etc. The bars often look like a cocktail war zone, with spills and ingredients all over the counters. The coffee is bad, but honestly, that’s nothing particularly new at an all-inclusive resort in Turkey. The cocktails, though, are maybe a 3/10. Order the same cocktail from three different bartenders and you’ll probably get three completely different drinks. The food itself is around a 6/10. Nothing terrible, nothing memorable. The bigger issue is everything around it. The “clean” plates aren’t always that clean, something you unfortunately discover after picking one up and the tables, chairs and other furniture are visibly worn and poorly maintained. The beach area was one of the most disappointing parts. The sunbeds are extremely dirty, with everything from melted ice cream to old food stains on them. Many are broken, and so are the mattresses. This isn’t the occasional sunbed that has seen better days, it’s enough of them that you notice it immediately. Our room was okay. Old, but okay. The cleaning staff seem to do what they can with what they have. The air conditioning is hit or miss. We had three rooms: in two, the AC worked fine, while in the third it barely did its job. And the internet is terrible. Once you leave the main hotel building, especially around the beach and pool, it’s almost nonexistent. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this resort. I know one review probably won’t change much about the condition of the hotel, but I do think people should know what the reality looks like before booking, especially considering how differently the resort is presented online. For a hotel marketed and priced as a five-star resort, the problem isn’t one or two small things going wrong. It’s the overall lack of maintenance, cleanliness and attention to detail that you see almost everywhere.
Amazing holiday in palazzo, eveeyrhing so excellent especially service was amazing with amazing hospitality Aycan from guest relations and sinan from pavillion excellentt!!highly recommend
We had a great holiday at Kaya Palazzo and would recommend for families. Thank you Taha for looking after us during our stay.
We had a very nice stay at the hotel with our family. The kids had a lot of fun, and the room service was excellent. Everything was clean and well maintained. The kids especially enjoyed the kids’ club, and the slides were really fun. Overall, it was a great experience for the whole family. Just one small complaint: the elevator next to the main restaurant needs to be fixed, as one of the elevators was not working. I would also like to thank Rida for his excellent service and for always checking on us and making sure everything was okay. We really appreciated his hospitality and support.
Although this trip started great, thanks to the nice staff at reception that could offer our room earlier than expected. Also with a nice surprise waiting in the room for my birthday, I got more and more frustrated each day Kaya Palazzo Golf Resort is undoubtedly one of the better all-inclusive resorts in Belek. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with elegant architecture, spacious and comfortable rooms, though a little dated, and immaculate gardens. The beach is wide and sandy, and the pools are excellent. The food is one of the biggest highlights, offering a great variety and consistently high quality. And the drinks are also of very good quality and bottled. The staff are friendly, hardworking, and always willing to help. A la carte fish and italian restaurants were also delicious. That said, there are several areas where the hotel falls short of the premium experience it aims to provide. The mobile app simply doesn't work properly. I went to the reception twice asking for assistance, but unfortunately nobody was able to resolve the issue. The guy from Guest experience assured me he will notify the waiters on the beach to come and ask me to order. Of course that was simply an excuse. The chatbot was equally disappointing and proved to be completely useless, offering no real help. So we couldn't order drinks on the beach, we had to get them ourselves. Another major downside is the sunbed situation. Many guests reserve loungers very early in the morning and leave them unattended for hours. This practice is frustrating and, in my opinion, should be managed much better by the hotel. Also what holiday is that when you wake up very early each day only to leave a towel on a sunbed. We even rented a beach cabana, which was too expensive in my opinion (and others as they're mostly empty) and also the service wasn't that great compared to other hotels in the past. The evening entertainment was also underwhelming. The shows were average rather than memorable, and there weren't enough seats for everyone who wanted to attend. The same problem exists on the main terrace in the evenings, where finding a free table can be almost impossible unless you arrive very early. Families with teenagers may also find the activity options somewhat limited. While younger children are well catered for, there aren't many engaging activities for teens, and many of the games and attractions come with an additional charge, which feels disappointing considering this is marketed as a luxury all-inclusive resort. Also the SPA is ok, but it's better to use it as early as possible as later it gets very noisy because of the small children and the staff seem to not care. Why would you bring a 4 -5 year old to sauna?
