Unfortunately, our stay at Long Beach Resort Antalya was a very disappointing experience, particularly because this holiday was booked as a special occasion to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had hoped to create some lovely family memories, but instead the holiday caused us significant stress and anxiety on a daily basis. My family and I have an egg allergy, yet the resort’s food was not clearly labelled to indicate whether dishes contained egg. We repeatedly had to ask about ingredients and seek reassurance about whether food was safe for us to eat. For guests with serious food allergies, this is not a minor inconvenience—it is a genuine health and safety concern. We also found that vegan options were extremely limited, to the point where it felt as though our dietary requirements were barely catered for. At a large all-inclusive resort, we expected there to be a reasonable variety of clearly identified options for guests with allergies and different dietary requirements. What made matters worse was the attitude of some members of staff. We found certain staff members to be rude, dismissive and unhelpful when we raised our concerns. Rather than feeling supported, we often felt as though our questions were an inconvenience. On one occasion, I asked a chef preparing pasta whether the pasta contained egg because of our allergy. Instead of receiving a straightforward answer or assistance, the chef shouted at me. This was completely unacceptable, particularly when I was simply trying to establish whether the food was safe for my family to eat. Guest Relations also did not provide the level of assistance or reassurance we expected when we explained the seriousness of our allergy situation. We expected someone to take ownership of the problem and help us find safe and suitable food options, but unfortunately this did not happen. Because we could not confidently rely on the food available at the resort, we were forced to leave the hotel regularly to find suitable food elsewhere. The resort’s location meant there was not a convenient variety of suitable options nearby, so we ended up spending hundreds of pounds throughout the holiday on alternative meals and transportation simply to find food that we could safely eat. We were offered a cabana by the beach and a late check-out as a gesture, but unfortunately this did not address the main issue. These were not the things we were asking for. When you pay for an all-inclusive holiday, you expect to be able to eat safely and receive the same standard of service and hospitality as every other guest. This became a daily source of distress and completely took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing birthday celebration for my wife. Instead of enjoying our holiday, we were constantly worrying about food, checking ingredients, finding somewhere safe to eat and dealing with staff who did not appear to understand the seriousness of our concerns. We paid a significant amount of money for this holiday and expected a much higher standard of customer care, especially when a genuine medical food allergy was involved. Clear allergen labelling, properly trained staff, suitable dietary options and respectful communication should be basic expectations for a large family resort. Sadly, what should have been a memorable birthday celebration became a stressful and disappointing experience for our entire family. I took a couple of weeks to decide whether to write this review because I did not want to post something in the heat of the moment. However, after reflecting on our experience, I feel it is necessary to share what happened. I would not want another family, particularly one travelling with food allergies, to experience the same level of stress and disappointment that we experienced. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously, reviews its allergen procedures, improves food labelling, provides meaningful vegan and allergy-friendly options, and ensures that staff receive proper training on how to deal with guests who have food allergies. A holiday that was booked to celebrate a special family occasion should not leave a family worrying every day about where their next safe meal is coming from.
We recently stayed at Long Beach and overall, we had a fantastic time! The food was genuinely delicious, with a huge selection to choose from across the main buffet and the numerous à la carte restaurants—there is truly something for everyone. The drinks were great, and the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and hard-working. Cleanliness across the resort was also top-notch throughout our stay. If you have kids, this place is absolute paradise. The entertainment options are incredible, featuring multiple water parks, a mini zoo, sports fields, and non-stop activities to keep the little ones busy all day long. The hotel was a bit crowded, but honestly, that’s completely normal for a resort that offers high quality at such an affordable price. Overall, I highly recommend Long Beach Alanya, especially for families looking for an action-packed holiday with great value!
First time visiting Turkey and it was a family holiday. We booked the Villa rooms which gave us access to the Villa restaurant and bar. The pool area was so much quieter than out in the main pools and water parks. We booked a Gazebo twice during our trip and found it well worth the money. Waiter service every hour or so and lovely to be so close to the sea. Unfortunately on our second visit one of the water parks closed for most of the day and the other one was too big for the 6 year old with us. Food is good for all inclusive and the service in the Villa restaurant was perfect. Special mention to Murat, couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful to us all. We booked all the family for one of the massage packages and it was fabulous, 6 year old now wants a massage for his 7th birthday. Only issues we had altogether were pillows are horrifically hard and they could only source 2 softer ones for us. We had a number of days when we couldn’t get delivered water for our room no matter how often we asked. We ended up just getting some from the bar though. My daughter banged her head quite badly on one of the flumes so adults beware and lie down! I have to end on the most positive notes though and that is Osman the barman at the Villa bar. He has to be the best barman ever. We never had to leave our seats to get drinks, he was always one step ahead of our needs and even brought drinks round to our loungers if he spotted us out. We would leave our room of an evening and our drinks would be on the bar for our arrival. What a star.
The hotel is beautiful and clean. Pools great. Sun loungers busy but which hotel isn't. Food okay, they try. Staff attentive, except the SOS doctor service. If you need any assistance although it says they accept all travel insurance on the door, they do not and the doctor available, if at all, is extremely rude and does not have decent bedside manner. Though management tried to rectify the situation after we escalated our concerns, the experience has made me feel extremely disappointed in a service that is there to care for vulnerable foreigners. The hospital staff however were amazing and we appreciated their care. The sos doctor team let this hotel down.
👌🏼amazing service, amazing hotel .. i would definitely recommend it would come back agoain !!!!!!
