Avoid this hotel at all costs. We chose this hotel after having previously stayed in the same area and absolutely loved it. In fact, just five months earlier we had stayed at Haydarpasha Palace in Turkler, Turkey and genuinely enjoyed both the hotel and the area, which made us want to try something new nearby. That turned out to be a major mistake. We are a well-traveled family. We have also stayed at less luxury-focused hotels such as Hawaii Caesar Palace in Hurghada, Egypt and Charmillion Aqua Park in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, and even though those hotels are not in the same “luxury category”, we still had fantastic holidays. The difference was clear: strong service, engagement, and genuine care from staff made those stays truly enjoyable. It reinforced for us that a great holiday is not about hotel category or luxury level, but about how guests are treated and supported. We paid over €4,500 for this trip, with more than €2,500 spent on the hotel alone, and expected a safe and functional holiday – especially when traveling with children. Problems started immediately upon arrival. Despite booking from the day before to ensure everything would be ready, our youngest child’s bed was not prepared. After multiple calls, we were eventually given a duvet taken from a wardrobe (already inside a duvet cover), without pillow or sheet. It took several more reminders just to receive basic bedding. Hygiene throughout the stay was unacceptable. My husband was served a latte in a glass covered in red lipstick marks, and we found similar issues on towels in our room. During our stay, we also experienced food poisoning, and later learned that other guests had similar issues. On one occasion, a pool had to be closed due to contamination, which raised further serious concerns about hygiene standards. We have never experienced food poisoning before, which made this particularly alarming. Safety was even more concerning. The balcony door could not be locked, and at one point we returned to find a bedroom window shattered with no explanation. Most seriously, both I and one of our children were injured due to an unsecured drainage opening (a ground-level water drain) in a walking area. I severely cut my heel despite already having a fracture in my foot and am now unable to walk. The hotel refused to assist with insurance documentation and also declined to cover necessary costs such as a mobility scooter, which we had no choice but to arrange ourselves in order to manage with three children. Service and housekeeping were also deeply problematic. We raised concerns about the cleaning, after which the cleaner reportedly emptied our children’s clothes onto the floor and took photos without our consent, allegedly to “prove” that the room could not be cleaned due to clutter. Even if that claim were true, it did not explain or excuse the fact that the hallway, bathroom, bedroom, and balconies were all left uncleaned. The situation felt unprofessional and escalated rather than resolved the issue. Our children were also verbally abused by an aggressive guest who shouted offensive insults at our entire family. We did not ask for anything unreasonable – only an apology – but even that was denied. Instead, we were given false information that the person had checked out, which turned out not to be true. We were also made to wait for hours while staff claimed to review camera footage, only to later say that nothing could be seen or heard. On several occasions, promises were made but not kept, such as arranging a golf buggy to take us back to our chalet late in the evening – it never arrived despite a long wait with sleeping children. The “compensation” offered – a gazebo day and a bottle of wine – was completely inadequate given the circumstances. The environment was also extremely noisy, with constant banging and loud conversations from neighboring rooms, making it difficult to relax. This is only a fraction of what we experienced during our stay – we have chosen to highlight only the most serious incidents. If you are traveling with children, we strongly recommend considering alternatives such as Jaz Aquamarine in Hurghada, Pickalbatros Resorts in Sharm el Sheikh, TUI Magic Life in Side, or Sunwing Kalithea Beach in Rhodes, where we have had significantly better experiences. In summary: the hotel has potential in terms of facilities, but fails badly in management, safety, housekeeping, and service. We have felt unsafe, poorly treated, and are counting the days until we can go home. We cannot recommend this hotel.
