Long Beach Alanya

A fantastic resort for families with lots to do. We had a 2 bedroom chalet for adults, 2 teens and an 8 year old. The water slides were a huge hit with the kids and the beach is lovely. Extra activities can get costly but we loved paragliding. The entertainers are great and made lots of effort to include everyone in the fun and activities.

We had a wonderful stay at Long Beach Hotel Alanya. The hotel was clean, the food was great, and the facilities were excellent. A special thank you to Zek from the staff, who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always made us feel welcome. His outstanding service made our vacation even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back!

We stayed at Long Beach Alanya for 10 nights with 2 adults and 2 children, and overall we had a fantastic holiday. We would definitely recommend this hotel to families. 🏨 First impressions & arrival First impressions of the hotel were excellent. The reception area is lovely, clean, spacious and impressive. The reception staff greeted us warmly and even offered us some late-night food before taking us to our room, which was a really nice touch after travelling. We booked a private transfer to the hotel and I would highly recommend doing this. It took around 1 hour 30 minutes, including a quick 5-minute stop. 🛏️ Our room We had a standard 4-sleeper room overlooking the hotel car park, with views towards the river and mountains. We actually had a lovely view of the surrounding buildings, mountains and greenery. We had no issues with noise from the car park or the hotel itself. Unfortunately, the hotel opposite us, across the river, was a different story. On four nights they played extremely loud music until around 5am. The patio doors aren’t soundproof, so we could hear it clearly. However, this wasn’t the fault of Long Beach and there wasn’t really anything the hotel could do about another hotel’s entertainment. Our air conditioning stopped working for one day, but we contacted reception and someone was sent up very quickly to fix it. 🛗 Lifts The lifts were definitely hit and miss. Sometimes you could be waiting 30 seconds and other times around 15 minutes. We opted to use the stairs a few times, although going from -0 up to the 4th floor is a LOT of steps! 😂 🧼 Cleanliness & staff The hotel was always clean. Staff were everywhere at all hours, working incredibly hard. The workers around the pools were particularly lovely. They were constantly cleaning, very polite and always happy to engage in conversation. You could really see how hard the staff worked to keep such a huge resort clean. 🍕 Food The food was reasonably good and there was SO much choice. They genuinely cater for everyone. There is food everywhere you look — you certainly won’t go hungry here! The coffee from the machines wasn’t great, but once the patisserie opened, you could get a freshly made coffee, which I highly recommend. We also had the Mexican restaurant for dinner, which was wonderful, especially sitting there watching the sunset. Definitely worth doing. One thing I would say is that the restaurants could explain the booking process better on arrival. We didn’t realise how to book the meals and ended up going backwards and forwards to reception before eventually being sent to guest relations. 🎭 Entertainment We didn’t watch a huge amount of the evening entertainment, as we preferred doing our own thing. We did sit down to watch the circus skills one evening at around 8:45pm. Unfortunately, we were still sitting there at 9:20pm waiting for it to start, despite the agenda saying 8:45pm. 👧🏼👦🏼 Kids’ activities This is where Long Beach really shines for families. There are TONS of pools and activities, so our children were never bored. The splash parks were brilliant, and there were lifeguards around the pools and slides, which gave us peace of mind. The surf simulator was fantastic fun and the kids absolutely loved it. The two guys running it were brilliant with them — really friendly, engaging and having a laugh with the children. 🏖️ Pool & sunbeds We had absolutely no problems getting a sunbed during our stay. There were plenty available, with lots of shade and umbrellas, and the sunbeds were reasonably comfortable. The sea was lovely and warm, but the sand is absolutely lethal when it’s hot! 😂 I would definitely recommend bringing water shoes because the sand gets incredibly hot. 🍹 Drinks & cocktails The cocktails were strong, which is always a bonus! 😂 The bar staff were also really good and always willing to have a go at making whatever you asked for. 🩺 Onsite doctor Unfortunately, we did have to visit the onsite doctor during our stay. They were brilliant and assisted us with getting to a local hospital. There were no issues at all and we were back at the hotel within around 90 minutes, all sorted. 🛍️ Shops & what’s nearby There are lots of shops inside the hotel, which is really convenient. Directly opposite the hotel there are also plenty of little shops if you want to go out and do some shopping. Oscar’s is also a short distance away and they offer a free pick-up, which is handy. ⚠️ A few negatives There weren’t many negatives for us, but there are a few things worth mentioning. Unfortunately, my son cut his foot quite badly getting out of one of the pools on the metal stairs. Obviously accidents happen, but it’s something to be aware of. The photographers around the pool area were also quite pushy. Once or twice is absolutely fine, but being approached 3–4 times a day became quite relentless. The restaurant booking process could definitely be explained better when you arrive, as mentioned above. The other thing that really surprised us was how rude some people could be in the food hall. For example, people would stand blocking the food while waiting for something further along. My children said excuse me when trying to get to the chicken nuggets and one man became really cross with them, despite him waiting for something further down himself. People also regularly push into the lifts while you’re trying to get out. I appreciate this is more of a cultural difference and perhaps something we’re just not used to as Brits, but it can be frustrating! ⭐️ Overall We absolutely loved Long Beach Alanya. Our children were entertained constantly with the huge amount of pools, slides and activities. The hotel was incredibly clean, the staff were polite and worked unbelievably hard, and there was always something to eat or drink. We had no stomach upsets whatsoever, which is always a huge positive when travelling with children. Apart from the noise from the hotel across the river — which wasn’t Long Beach’s fault — we had no major issues with our stay. Would we come back? Absolutely. Would we recommend it? 100%. We had a brilliant 10-night family holiday and genuinely didn’t want to leave. ❤️ Long Beach Alanya gets a big thumbs up from us! 👍🏼

It is not a 5-star hotel. It is a huge machine for processing guests in volume. It feels more like a factory than a place to rest. Quantity is clearly valued over quality, and that shows in everything — the food most of all. Rooms and “sea view”. Our room was clean, as clean as it could be. But the rooms are outdated and need renovation. We also paid extra for a sea view, which turned out to be a highway view — the sea is on the other side of the highway. It was loud and genuinely unpleasant. If you are considering the supplement, ask exactly what you will be looking at. Food. The amount of food wasted here should worry management. I have seen guests over-serve themselves at all-inclusive hotels before, but the volume here was on another level. Unfortunately we were also leaving barely touched plates. The food was cold, unseasoned and not tasty, and the vegetables looked like they had been prepped the day before. We mostly ended up eating pastries and watermelon, and eventually started eating outside the hotel — the kids liked the food even less than we did. Pools. Genuinely good. Great infrastructure, plenty of options, and the salt-water pools are a real plus. The problem is organisation. There is a lot of space, but people reserve loungers with towels and nobody enforces the posted rules. We ended up renting a gazebo almost every day, at 50 euros a day, just to be sure we had somewhere to rest. The gazebos themselves are excellent. Entertainment. The evening shows are decent and the artists clearly try. But the daily celebration segment after the mini disco is long and boring, and many people leave before it ends. It also does not help that the Luna Park opens exactly when the show finishes, so a large part of the audience walks out early to queue for the rides. Constant upselling — and how you are treated if you decline. This is an all-inclusive where too many things cost extra, and they are expensive. A milkshake is 7 euros, and that is not the worst example. The spa was the clearest illustration. We took a two-hour treatment on our first day and were immediately pushed to buy additional sessions for 300 euros. The staff were very pushy. When I said I needed to discuss it with the people I was travelling with, the treatment simply stopped — I was left with my mask still on, shown to the bathroom to wash it off myself, and dismissed. That is not how a 5-star spa treats a paying guest who says no. The excursion we booked through the hotel’s own guest advisor was the same story. We paid 160 euros for four people for a safari and lion zoo trip. It was a few hours in a very old bus with no windows, not remotely suitable for travelling with children. We were picked up last, so the only seats left were on the side bench. The animals were kept in poor conditions. After that we did not dare book anything else through the hotel. Bottom line. We paid for an all-inclusive 5-star stay and ended up eating off-site, renting space to sit by the pool, and avoiding anything the hotel recommended. The pools, the gazebos and the evening entertainment are genuinely good — that is why this is two stars and not one. Everything else falls well short of what is being sold.
