Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort

Maxx Royal is a step above any Turkey holiday. The service from Esra and her team have been brilliant they have gone above and beyond to help with any requests we had. We had a slight issue which was managed perfectly. The room was a terrace swim up and was the perfect size for my family, the pool area is so quiet and chilled, the location of the room was perfect it was 2 mins from the aquapark and kids club (where i couldnt get my children out of as they were having so much fun) Kids Club - My children (5&8) loved all the activities they made soft toys, slime, painted, loved the play park. My eldest did the tree top climbing adventure and loved it. Water park is brilliant my children had so much fun here and the food at the aqua restaurant was lovely each time we ate there. Food & Drinks - All food was beautiful, we dined in all restaurants and the additional asian & steakhouse (my husbands fave) drinks were all made perfectly. Grab and go ice lollies at pool bar locations and the fresh made lollies on the beach were delicious. The grounds of the hotel are kept to high standards and are very beautiful. We will most definitely return to Maxx Royal in the near future.

What a fantastic stay we have had as a family. Maxx Royal really delivered, something for everyone, whether it be the wellness, the shows, the pools, the beverages and of course the luxury facilities, everything was catered for. The holiday was enhanced tremendously by the Maxx Assistants, Zehra and Murat. Each and every day our needs were met, a real source of information and support when help was needed. The service really was first class. Our first time in Belek and we wasn’t too sure on which hotel to try, we are so glad we chose Maxx Royal and we will certainly be back soon 👏👏👏

Exceptional 11 night stay. We had booked the Maldives/Abu Dhabi but had to cancel. We had our concerns about the quality of an AI resort in Europe/Asia but it turned out to be one of the best we have experienced. The rooms and facilities are fantastic. This place is perfect for kids. Brilliant entertainment in the evening. Lots to do in the day. Land of Legends Theme park a short taxi away. Maxx Royal have thought of everything too - there are nice touches like a gun to pump inflatables, art workshops on the beach for kids, chocolatier - because why wouldn't you want chocolate dipped strawberries daily, fast track VIP Lounge on departure from Antalya. Nothing in life is perfect though. We arrived at 130am and our cot wasnt in our room. It's a bit noisy at 10/1030pm when getting to sleep in the room from music at neighbouring hotel (Voyage Belek). The shop tried to charge 50 euros for suncream. Just stupid money. We had to pay 20 euros for some nappies. It's unnecessary. The guys around the pool were generally excellent but a little hit and miss when it would take 15 minutes + for a drink, or not come at all if ordering on the app. It took a while to figure out my bearings too as a large resort - I just wanted to be told where the kids club was so I could walk there but the team insisted on taking me in a shuttle - it wasn't helpful. Outside the resorts control, there was some questionable parenting (I'm a parent myself) from some areas and questionable behaviour with Europeans families reserving seats at the evening entertainment, rocking up as it started, having left jumpers on seats to go for dinner. The above are just points to hopefully help the resort team improve and the reality is it was a fantastic trip. I'm already thinking about returning next year.

Food and gluten-free options As someone with coeliac disease and a strict gluten-free diet, visiting a new hotel can always feel a little daunting. You never quite know whether allergens will be listed correctly or whether cross-contamination is properly understood. I’m happy to say that Maxx Royal Belek has been excellent in this regard. Walking through the buffet area, everything is very clearly labelled and, during 9 of the 11 days I have been here so far, I have not found a single item incorrectly labelled. There has always been a great variety of food I could safely eat, including curries, stews, rice, most grilled meats, chips, mashed potato, grilled vegetables, salads and dips. The sausages are lovely too! There is also a designated gluten-free area, which was great to see. They serve gluten-free pasta, meatballs and a few other options, and in the fridge there are cakes and muffins. There are also pre-packaged gluten-free breadsticks and bread. At breakfast, I noticed packets of gluten-free cereal and granola, which was a real win. I was also really pleased to find gluten-free puddings in the dessert section. There may not be a huge range of cakes, but there is chocolate pudding, crème brûlée, rice pudding and ice cream. And if you fancy something sweeter, there is an absolutely amazing chocolate shop on the floor above. The staff in the à la carte restaurants are lovely and very helpful with allergies. That said, I would recommend giving a few hours’ notice for any special dietary requests via your Maxx personal assistant on the app, who you meet on arrival. A special mention has to go to Kristina and Miray, who were absolute angels. They went above and beyond to make sure my dietary needs were met and that I felt confident with my order. They are both so kind and friendly, and they have really helped make our holiday an amazing experience. Kids club and family facilities My daughter is three and a half, and there has been plenty to keep her entertained. She has loved the soft play maze, outdoor playground, activity room and arcade, where there are free rides. There is also a small fairground outside, which runs from 4pm to 10pm. She only stayed for the mini disco once and became a little bored, mainly because she only recognised Baby Shark and Soco Bate Vira. I do think a wider selection of well-known kids songs would make it even better for younger children. That said, the Maxxiland staff are wonderful. They are fun, friendly and, most importantly, trustworthy. We especially liked the ladies who work the evening shift in the play area next to the main buffet restaurant. My daughter also really enjoyed Dinoland — and so did the grown-ups! Rooms, pools and entertainment We stayed in a two-bedroom terrace suite, which was very comfortable and well equipped. The room had a hairdryer, a wide range of toiletries, dressing gowns and slippers, although there was no iron. I really liked that there was a choice of pillows, and I personally preferred the goose feather one. The minibar is stocked daily, and the turndown service is a lovely treat to come back to after an evening out. I also really appreciated that, without me even asking, the maid provided children’s hangers for my daughter’s clothes. I have never experienced that in any other hotel, and it was such a thoughtful touch. It really showed the hotel’s attention to detail. The pools are all lovely, with a good variety of slides for different ages. The Maldives pool is absolutely beautiful, although it is cold — but on a hot day, I didn’t mind that at all. The waiters are very quick on their electric unicycles, and there is a big menu of tasty cocktails, both alcoholic and alcohol-free, as well as snacks and fresh fruit. The evening entertainment on the main stage is fabulous and very high quality. We enjoyed it as a family most nights, especially the live music. Our favourite was the orchestra band, who played upbeat music that you couldn’t help but dance to. Overall Very long story short, Maxx Royal Belek is a fantastic hotel with plenty to do, but it is also the perfect place to relax. The food, service, facilities and attention to detail have all been excellent. We have had an amazing holiday and cannot wait to return.

This hotel is close to a five star hotel, however their are two main issues. One is the very loud music from the neighbouring hotel Adam and Eve, starts at 3pm until 6pm daily and if you are in the Adult only pool, you can’t hear yourself speak. The other issue we had was the 24-7 restaurant, it was either super efficient or you waited up to 30 minutes for morning coffee and orange juice, we also as English speakers found it hard to communicate with a number of staff. Not a buffet fan so used the buffet once for breakfast and dinner, great choice but lukewarm food. Steakhouse 10/10 same with Japanese restaurant, the rest of the amenities at this hotel are also 10/10. We did request and offer to pay extra for two ball golf, this unfortunately was refused and the golf course ( Montgomerie) was super busy. Will we return, yes with our grandchildren as the negatives won’t affect them and the hotel has so many positives. 9.5/10 overall.
