Megasaray Resort Side

This hotel completely ruined our vacation. Rooms were dirty, smelly, and full of mold — definitely not 5-star quality. Towels were stained, and housekeeping barely existed. The food was awful: cold, tasteless, and obviously reheated from previous days. Staff were rude, unhelpful, and ignored every complaint. The worst part was the deafening karaoke and club noise every night, lasting past midnight and disturbing not only guests but also people in nearby hotels. It was impossible to rest. This place is a total embarrassment to Turkish tourism — dirty, noisy, and completely mismanaged. I sincerely hope tourism authorities inspect this property immediately. Until it changes, avoid this hotel at all costs!

Flight with SunExpress from Leeds, private transfer from airport took about 1 hour (recommend private transfer as very convenient) Arrived, very friendly welcome, good information given and was given option of free upgraded room, this did not suit us as a family but nice to be offered. Room is nice, good amenities and bathroom spacious with huge shower. Restaurant was good, chargrilled meats were the highlight. Only issue with food was, not really a themed night and very repetitive. Breakfast there is no pork products at all (understandable given the religion), lived off fresh omelettes which were very good. Selection of fruits, honey and yoghurts was good also. Bars were decent, beer is as expected. Cocktails were hit and miss. Some made perfect, others with low to no alcohol. Entertainment was ok, couple of good performances in amphitheater worth watching, mainly we chilled in Aqua bar then the main lounge for drinks. Spa is lovely, indoor pool can be used by all the family, sauna and steam room are really good. Couple of downsides are the hotel caters more towards Russian residents, not many UK here on our stay. Pools are freezing cold in October, kids didn’t seem bothered but I went in couple of times and extremely cold. I had a chest infection due to inhaling a lot of passive smoke, not the hotels fault at all but throughout meal times, round the pool and at the bar you are breathing in smoke. Lifts, there are 4 of but seem to have a mind of their own, 1 evening all 4 lifts were on my level, I waited 30 seconds before pressing and as soon as I pressed all 4 went to different floors without opening. Finally, cats - I am not a cat person as allergic to them, there are many cats in the hotel, poolside, restaurants and twice found one in my room. It’s in the culture so can’t be too upset but not being a cat person I wasn’t a fan. Couple of good points you may not find in other hotels. We had a 9 month old toddler with us, the hotel take special care of hygiene when it comes to high chairs, they are all sterilised, wrapped in film and prepped ready for next use, huge thumbs up. Also I had an issue where my designer swim shorts were accidentally taken out of my room by the maid (it was under a towel). Genuine mistake, the hotel tried finding them through laundry but could not. The manager agreed to reimburse me for the shorts, she offered to take me to the designer shop to buy them, I did this when I went to the Nova Mall and gave her the receipt, she give me a full refund of £60. Excursion, we went on the Big Kral pirate ship, this was very good. I wouldn’t go on any other, this is luxury and good price (about £40pp all inclusive) Overall this is a very nice hotel, very much a 5*, some nice small touches that don’t go unnoticed. If you want a solid 5* hotel that offers everything and can accept the couple of not so good points then this is a great place to come.

This is the best resort I visited so far: very good food, an extremly large variety of meals to choose: very good quality of food and sweets, very good cleaning of the rooms, very good design of the hotel rooms and for the resort, very modern, very clean... we are extremly pleased with the experience! We highly recommend this resort for everyone: amazing entertaining programs, nice activities for the kids, very nice and polite staff of the resort... there was an artist that played the piano in the evenings: extremly relaxing atmosphere... we highly recommend this resort for everyone! I would definitely go back to repeat the experience!

We had a wonderful stay at Megasaray Resort Side. From the warm welcome at check-in to the spotless grounds, everything felt well cared for. The rooms were clean and comfortable with daily housekeeping and lovely balcony views. Food was excellent, with plenty of choice at the buffet and tasty snacks and drinks available throughout the day. The staff were always friendly and attentive, making us feel genuinely looked after. Entertainment was lively, with fun daytime activities, kids’ options, pools with slides, and enjoyable evening shows. The beach and pool areas were also a highlight – clean, well-maintained, with plenty of loungers and bar service. Overall, the resort offers a great mix of relaxation and entertainment, perfect for both families and couples. Only minor downsides were that the buffet could feel a bit repetitive after several days, and the evening music might be loud for some. Still, it was an excellent holiday, and we would happily return.

Second time here, 10 nights stay, family of 4 this time, 1 infant and 1 toddler, everything simply amazing. Friendly staff, big, quiet and clean rooms, variety of good food for all tastes, including for kids under 1 year, lots of places where bigger kids can have lot of fun. Entertaining team also did an amazing job all our vacation, evening shows were impressive. We will surely come back next years, we feel like home here!
