Mukarnas Spa Resort

What an experience once again this is our second time here and it's absolutely amazing..... the staff can't do enough for you!! I don't think i'll go to another place in Turkey now if I'm honest! Huge shout out to all of the bar, resturant (Kadir couldn't do enough for us each evening he went the extra mile to find us a table of 8) and the animation team you are all superstars and it's one of the many reasons why we return!! Thank you so much for a great holiday and i'll see you all next year... (not just a holiday it feels like you are family)

We have just returned from a 10-night stay at Mukarnas Resort, and overall we had a lovely holiday. The hotel itself has the potential to be a genuine five-star resort, thanks to its incredible facilities and wonderful staff. There is so much to do for all ages. The hotel has a huge outdoor pool, an indoor pool and jacuzzi (which were a welcome escape from the 40°C+ heat), fantastic water slides, direct access to the beach with plenty of free sunbeds, multiple bars and restaurants, and entertainment throughout the day and evening. There are so many activities happening that you genuinely struggle to decide what to do each day. One of our favourite parts was the children’s area. The free fairground rides, including the teacups, were a huge hit with our children, and there are plenty of play areas to keep them entertained. A special mention has to go to the Kids Club staff. We have two autistic daughters, and every member of staff treated them with such kindness, patience and understanding. They made them feel completely welcome, and we couldn’t have asked for more. In fact, every member of staff we encountered throughout the hotel was friendly, hardworking and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment of the holiday. Our daughters have very restricted diets because they are autistic. Unlike many all-inclusive resorts we’ve visited, there wasn’t a reliable selection of simple children’s foods such as chicken nuggets available throughout the day. Most meals consisted of chips and melon for them, and we ended up buying additional food from local shops so they had enough safe foods to eat. I’m also coeliac, and the gluten-free options were extremely poor. There was very little choice, and most of my holiday meals consisted of chips and fruit, even with this I was reacting. There was a sign at the desk in the restaurant to speak to staff there about allergies, however I never saw a staff member there. The desserts weren’t labelled for allergens, so I couldn’t safely eat any of them apart from ice cream—which itself was only available for a short period in the afternoon rather than with evening meals. For a five-star all-inclusive hotel, I expected far better allergy awareness and gluten-free provision. We also found it frustrating that food wasn’t available all day, with meals only served during set time slots. If you missed those times, your options were quite limited. The only other negative was the behaviour of some of the Polish speaking guests. On several occasions, we witnessed belongings being moved from restaurant tables while other diners were getting food from the buffet, despite the tables clearly being occupied. We also witnessed towels being removed from sunbeds, on one occasion they put their towels over the towels of an English speaking guest who had said excuse me, but the Polish speaking guest became aggressively animated in gestures. This same polish speaking family would stand in front of our sun beds (which were poolside and not next to their poolside sunbeds) and put their food and alcohol in the floor right next to where the pool was and stand and talk in front of us blocking us walking to the pool that way and blocking sun. There is also plenty of umbrellas, however these guests removed our umbrella on several occasions. At the children’s play area, another child repeatedly pushed our daughter while no supervising adult appeared to intervene, so we had to remove her from the area. There was also smoking poolside, despite signs clearly directing to allocated areas, and lifeguards only monitor this in the area they are sat. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Mukarnas for its fantastic facilities, brilliant entertainment and outstanding staff. However, if you have coeliac disease, food allergies or children with highly restricted diets, it’s worth being aware that the dining experience may be challenging. Also challenging guests are definitely worth considering before booking as a holiday is meant to be a relaxing experience.

Our stay at Mukarnas Spa Resort was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. A very special thank you to the reception team for their professionalism, kindness, and genuine hospitality. They were always ready to help with a smile, answered every question patiently, and made every part of our stay smooth and comfortable. We would also like to thank the bar team for their excellent service. They worked incredibly hard every day while always remaining friendly, attentive, and cheerful. The drinks were great, and the atmosphere they created made every evening even more enjoyable. The hotel itself was spotless, the rooms were comfortable, the food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the entertainment was fun for both adults and children. It is clear that every member of the staff works hard to ensure guests have a memorable holiday. Thank you to everyone at Mukarnas Spa Resort for making our vacation so special. We leave with wonderful memories and will definitely recommend this hotel to our family and friends. We are already looking forward to returning for another fantastic holiday!

Overall, a really good experience as a family of five. Two adults and three young children (under 9’s) . The hotel lobby is beautiful and the hotel is air conditioned throughout the main areas which was welcomed after a long flight. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. Rooms were a good, basic standard. We were offered a €50 room upgrade when we checked in, but I’m not 100% sure what this was for as the room key and number was already written on the cards in front of him before we paid the upgrade but the room view was nice over the pools and looking out to the sea. Hotel room was clean and what we expected, but I think more storage in these family rooms would be great. The balcony door lock didn’t work but wasn’t an issue. Amenities within the hotel were good. Three different pool areas: children’s pool with slides, main pool where activities were and then the slide pool where the four water slides were. All had sun loungers surrounding them. Tip: Despite the notice of no reserving sun loungers, there was a queue at 7:15am most days especially around the big pool, so is advised to reserve spots as not all have umbrellas and for young families the sun is extremely hot. We went last week of July and it was 45 degrees most days. Plenty of activities throughout the day and mini club, playground and fun fair was a massive hit with the kids. Food as always varies on what type of stuff the kids will eat. There was a good variety of food at breakfast and dinner for us adults but having fussy kids meant we tended to be limited on what they ate but there was always the basic food groups in the dedicated kids buffet part and lots of fruit etc. Lunch tended to be had at the snack restaurant and further afternoon snacks at the Amphi Bar which had different snacks each day. The snack restaurant mainly served burgers, chips, nuggets, fajita chicken and wraps, kebab meat, a multitude of different salads and fruits and then desserts. We encouraged them to go and look and pick their own thing and the staff were friendly and helpful with assisting them. Evening entertainment was good, despite it starting late each night. Mini disco started at 9pm and then the main entertainment at 930pm. Tip: it’s advised to go slightly earlier to get seats as it does get very busy and if you move from your seat, someone will try and sit there. Different shows each night, including a pool party mid week where you can swim in the pool whilst there is music and dancers and fireworks. Arcade you have to buy tokens at the little kiosk next to the bar and there is bowling lanes and play stations areas you can hire for 30-60 mins at a time. Beach is stoney so advised to wear pool shoes especially for the young kids as they struggled to walk on the stones bare footed. We had a foam and colour party at the beach at the end of the week which the kids loved! Tip: take goggles for the kids as the powder goes everywhere! Overall, really good holiday - kids loved the pools and the miniclub and playground. Adults loved the all inclusive bar, food and entertainment. A really good, family holiday hotel. Would definitely recommend to others!
