Mukarnas Spa Resort

This hotel is absolutely amazing...staff are all fantastic and can't do enough for you...big shout out to Ali at the pool bar who was climbing up the tree next to the bar to get free oranges to squeeze for my vodka fanta...all the Staff feel like friends...I've been 3 times and even went as a solo traveller on one occasion...Love Ahmet and Ali and Farouk and every other person there...I would recommend this hotels for couples...families and solo travellers

A very average stay – missed potential and AC issues Overall impression Mukarnas is a very run-of-the-mill all-inclusive resort; there is honestly nothing unique or special about it. The Room & Hotel Amenities The hotel itself is fine, with decent rooms and cool interior design in certain areas. However, the rooms closest to the highway have a rather disappointing view and suffer from a lot of traffic noise. The biggest issue during our stay was the non-functioning air conditioning. With very hot nights, I was forced to sleep with the balcony door wide open just to breathe, which unfortunately meant dealing with a lot of noise and mosquitoes. It also felt like the hotel was cutting corners to save money—for instance, the motion-sensor lights in the restrooms and various common areas would shut off on you while you were still using them. Pool, Beach & Bars The beach, pool, and bar areas are decent, but the atmosphere felt completely after 21:00. Throughout the day, the bars frequently ran out of basic items like Coca-Cola. Furthermore, the all-inclusive package is very restrictive, only covering beer and a few select cocktails on the menu. For example, you cannot order a neat spirit or substitute ingredients. As someone with extensive experience in the cocktail industry, I found the drinks to be horrible. They were poorly made, watered down, completely inconsistent from one bartender to the next, and occasionally tasted like they contained no alcohol at all. The Buffet & Food Quality The included buffet is about 90% identical every single day, and the overall selection is quite poor. My entire family ended up eating the exact same 3–4 dishes daily. Most of the food was bland and lacked basic seasoning like salt. The absolute highlight was the Turkish Night, where they served delicious grilled kebab skewers—but unfortunately, that was only one evening. The desserts were a major disappointment and skipped by almost everyone; they were either drenched in syrup, completely runny, or so packed with gelatin that they had a glue-like texture. A lot of the food also gave off the impression of being leftovers from previous meals. On a positive note, food is available almost around the clock—I just wish it had been more appetizing. We are, after all, in Turkey; where were the bold, rich flavors the country is so famous for? Staff & Entertainment Most of the staff came across as grumpy and dismissive, and a few even explicitly asked for tips for doing absolutely nothing. However, there was a major bright spot: the big guy working the outdoor buffet terrace! He was incredibly skilled, hardworking, and attentive. The cleaning ladies were also absolutely wonderful. On the other hand, the daily activities and evening shows felt incredibly half-hearted, and the entertainment staff visibly looked like they hated being there. Final Notes One definite positive is the strict towel policy for sunbeds, which successfully prevents people from hoarding them and ensures there are always free loungers available. Please keep that up. The whole area seemed extremely Eastern European heavy, which is fine but mabye not the best area to stay in for others.

A fantastic holiday, we loved the staff. Umut was great fun from the animation team.

This was our third year in a row at this hotel and we can’t fault anything. Got everything you could ask for and the staff are all amazing. Shout out to umut who was excellent and great with our kids. They miss him a lot

Brilliant holiday, beautiful hotel and the whole experience was made even better by the friendly staff and especially Umut who took really good care of us and made us feel really welcome, we will definitely come back again even if it’s just to see Umut.
